It took about 15 minutes for my drink to be made and at the 10 minute mark I asked if mine was forgotten - as people who came in and ordered after me had gotten their food and drink orders. So I get my drink pull off and it's not tasting like a tall extra hot mocha with extra whip. It's more like a white mocha. I open it. It is indeed a white mocha. I look at the sticker on the cup. My name. And my order. Needless to say I'm pissed and we are already on the highway and I don't want to turn back. Saturday coffee run ruined. read more

I order 20 min ahead before getting there. I ordered a latte with oat milk and a shaken espresso. I stood and waited for 10 min on top of the pre 20 min. I watched them fill every walk in and drive through order ahead of mine. Another girl waiting for mobile order asked where TF her order was and they said oh well make it now. After her, I asked where mine was and they said ... oh well make it now. 50 min later I got my order and it was not what I ordered. DO. BETTER. read more

Last weekend we drove through the drive through. The person taking our order asked us more than 3 times what we wanted. Clearly either she didn't hear us, in which case either the sound machine was working well or she wasn't paying attention. We had to yell in our order. When we arrive at the window, the lead barista comes to the window and attempts to berate us for yelling! She doesn't offer apologies for us having to repeat our order several times, instead she withholds our drinks in an attempt to unload her emotions. In the meantime, the line backed up. We spend over a thousand $$ there a year and this is the type of treatment we received. This was the absolute worst customer service experience we've had and I can't wait for a different Starbucks to open so we can visit that one. I do not recommend this location. I suggest ordering from the many coffee shops popping up until they learn basic customer service hospitality. read more

This morning I visited Starbucks and had a disappointing experience. My order total was shown as a little over $10, but when I tapped to pay, I was charged more than what was displayed. I asked the cashier if she rang me up for someone else's order, since the price didn't match. On top of that, I noticed I was not given the chance to select my own tip amount--the device was not handed to me to enter it myself. Then I overheard the manager say, "Oh, she doesn't want to give a tip." I found this very unprofessional. A tip should always be my choice, not something added without my consent. Customers deserve transparency and respect, not to be made to feel uncomfortable over something like this. read more

Unfortunately this Starbucks location is always disorganized, messes up orders and will have you waiting for an extended period of time for your food & drinks. The drive thru is convenient during non- peak hours but beware it can take up to 20-30min in line during peak hours. I'd recommend going inside for faster service. For the food & drinks, typically drinks are watered down or taste vastly different from other Starbucks locations and food is standard. If you're in the area, I'd suggest checking out the Starbucks in the Potomac Town Center or any located on Prince William Parkway. You will have such a better experience! read more

It's4:45pm. With noone waiting to order except us, we were greeted after waiting 2 minutes standing at the register. Another 2 minutes past before I requested service. The barrister finished her order and took our 2 simple orders. Another 12 minutes and we got our order with third person comments between barristers. So idk who the rude lady at the window was at 10:40 am on December 4. First she had the write drink on the screen deleted it when I gave her the second drink which was wrong so that was fun got to the window and she handed me a drink and a cake pop and it wasn't even the write drink I ordered a white chocolate mocha and a white hot chocolate and a birthday cake pop the only thing that was right was the cake pop she gave me the wrong drink and when I asked her were my other drink was she looked at me like I was stupid and was like what's the other drink I said a white chocolate mocha she just had an attitude until I got the drink and left then I realized the first drink was wrong it was a normal hot chocolate but I don't like those because they are way to chocolate for me. It's a Starbucks. They are what they are to some degree. You will walk away happy but the parking situation is not great.

This location is perfect because of the drive thru. You do need to have some patience at times because the drive thru gets back ed up rather quickly but moves efficiently. Only downside is that since there is one major way in and out of this strip to get to the drive thru, you find yourself playing battle of the right of way to secure your place in line. Staff is great! Always friendly and personable. To date, I have never had an issue with my drink not being prepared properly or to my liking. I get the same thing all the time and take comfort in knowing that even as difficult as it can be when I order it, they have never disappointed. I am even happier that the drive thru was repaved so the process is now smooth start to finish. read more

I've been here a few times now, and more frequently as of late. I've gone about 3 times in the last week (Thank you Christmas gift card) and every time at least 2-3 people greet me. They don't just greet me with your standard hello. They genuinely seem happy and cheerful to be in there, and to see a new customer walk in. The drinks taste great. Probably the most consistently good tasting drinks I've had from a Starbucks. I haven't had a bad drink yet, but that's not why I'm giving this place 5 Stars. It's because when I walk in every day, super tired and out of it, annoyed to be going for another day at work, they are cheery and put a smile on my face! They even suggest fun stuff to try with my coffee, so I'm always down for that. My wait time hasn't ever been more than 3-4 minutes for my drink either, which is awesome! I've done both online ordering for pickup, and order in store. My drink is always waiting for me when I walk in with online ordering. I will continue to come to this Starbucks over the others in the area! Thanks for making my mornings great! read more

I love Starbucks and have been going to this one in Dumfries almost every day for five years. Unfortunately, they've become REALLY unreliable over the past month or so. Since COVID, they cut they hours back to closing at 8pm, which is understandable; however, three times in the last two weeks, I went there well before 8pm and they were closed already. Today, I got there at 2pm and they were closed already, yet the app and their online page still indicate they're open. Their order ahead app has been turned off for most of the last three to four weeks. When I asked if it was broken, they said, "It's on purpose so not as many people can order." When asked why their hours were so unpredictable lately, they said it was due to staffing issues and "unreliable partners." I could see that happening for a week, but it's been almost a month and they don't seem to care. Although this Starbucks is close to my house and I love the drive-thru option, I'll start going to the one in Target next door, or to Cheshire Station location where they're more reliable and actually open and close at their stated times. read more

This use to be my favorite Starbucks. I went to get drinks via drive thru this afternoon and was told by the barista to please wait via intercom. I waited a few minutes. I heard somebody's muffled voice through the intercom so I started my drink order and was abruptly told in an annoyed manner "I asked you to please wait." I order my drinks when she is ready. I get to the window and the look of annoyance on this girls face was palpable. I'm getting uncomfortable at this point and just want to get out of there. I give her my payment and immediately get my card back. Suddenly another female barista is in the window and they are making comments to each other. This barista also has an annoyed and angry look on her face towards me. She then accuses me of "snatching" my card out of the other barista's hand. She was not even present when the transaction occurred. She then tells me she will not serve me and is canceling my order and refunding me...WHAT?!! I asked her if she was serious and reiterated that I did not "snatch" my card out of the other barista's hand. She then said she would give me my drinks. She said disrespect will not be tolerated. The other barista then told me that patience goes a long way and that they are the only baristas today and short staffed. So they were obviously not having a good day and took it out on me. It was baffling because only 1 person was ahead of me and I only saw maybe 3 cars parked out front. Not that it matters. I have never been treated so horribly. I have always had great experiences with Starbucks. I was able to make a formal complaint against them and the customer service department was excellent. Apparently it is not Starbucks policy to refuse service to any customer for "card snatching" or so perceived. read more

She greeted me with a smile and a bubbly personality due to the fact that Starbucks has shortages she was able to accommodate me with the drinks that I ordered. I've been to this Starbucks many times over the years... I don't come here often, but when I'm in the area and need a Starbucks treat, I'll stop in. Service has been mediocre at best over the years, but I noticed that on this particular visit, the service was actually quite nice! They were busy, but each person greeted me and seemed pleasant and helpful. I even saw a barista thank a police officer in the shop for his service and shake his hand... made me feel like there are nice folks who still care, not just those who act like they do. I took the drink back immediately and the guy in the drive thru was very apologetic but when he explained it to the other girl in the drive through she seemed to think it was funny..... The drive thru at this location is the worst I've ever experienced. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to get a coffee thru a drive thru.

This place has so much potential... it falls flat on service and quality of product. This isn't the fault of the employees but the COA y as a whole. They took a lot of stuff off the menu but put dressed down versions of drinks and when you things to get the old drink it's almost $1.00 more then the drink a month ago. Then the cold foam is 75% of your drink and espresso for $5.00. That's absolutely ridiculous. New small coffee shops are opening up all over Montclair, Dumfries, and Manassas. Starbucks isn't bothered by it because they have brand recognition. I highly recommend you do a search for coffee in the area first. New place opened next to Walmart and that's my new spot. read more

Terrible! Ordered two coffees mobile and waiting over 20 minutes and got cold coffee just because the barista didn't care enough to finish the job and put my coffees on the mobile order counter. And wasn't apologetic whatsoever. You may be tempted to just mobile and run in to get your coffee because the drive through is long but trust me that's a mistake. At least once you get to the window they can't just ignore your order. In fact that's all they focus on is their drive through orders while people who come in for even something so simple as a coffee will wait forever because of their carelessness. There is in fact one particular barista who does this all the time and it was her again. When another barista pointed at two coffees that were just sitting in front of the coffee maker and asked the terrible barista "are these ready?" She just said "yeah.." and still didn't bother bringing them over. But I'll look like the jerk if I complain in a Starbucks right? This place is TRASH! read more

Visited Sunday and they were behind and possibly understaffed. I was in a crunch so I placed my mobile order from I-95. I got there 7 minutes later and it's not ready, no problem. I wait another 5 in the car and check on it. They made one drink, forgot my second one, I had to remind them and then I had to wait a while for the second drink. They're sweet/nice to customers but you could feel the tension in the place. Watched a barista mis-prioritize a few drinks and forget the topping on my beverage; gave it back for a quick fix, thanks. I got to the car and the cold brew was bitter, not normal. I get this drink at multiples locations and I've tasted good and bad mixes. Already wasted too much time with them so I couldn't stop and get it fixed. Thought this was going to be a quick coffee run on my trip but this simple stop set me back 30 minutes. I go to this Starbucks all the time. I visited this evening and even by going inside, not a long wait, the drive-thru was busy and slow, a lot of people working. service was good. I ordered a Frappuccino and another drink which I got first. then waiting for the frap was a very long wait. They said the one i ordered they were out of it, so they asked if a Carmel frap could take it's place. watching other customers get their order, as I still stood there waiting I​ watched them make another frap, thought it would be mine but it was not. I decided I was tired of waiting, I asked for my money back. the lady was very nice gave the money back, and also gave me a four dollar gift card, she asked one of the workers to make me a frap that I ordered and he said that it's almost done. I stood their again, and he has not even started it, few more orders went out, then he gives me the wrong frap not even close to what I ordered. I like this location, it's my go to Starbucks. They have a drive through, but if I decided to have my drink there, there's plenty of seating inside & outside. They're very slow so I order ahead on the app, show up late & my drink is usually just about ready by the time I walk in. My drinks are a bit intricate but anytime it's not just right, they never hesitate to make a new one & I usually don't get an eye roll or huff at this Starbucks :) they're great! read more

So I asked for it in a treanta.. just make a venti and throw it in trenta but no, they rather me spill it all over my clean truck. I dedicated 4 years to Starbucks, and I politely asked them to do it for me but it wasn't possible and against policy. I'd personally do whatever the customer asked most of the time. Went to the drive thru earlier this afternoon ordered the Molten Chocolate for the first time to see if its good or not , the Molten chocolate latte does not taste good like more of watery , the molten frappucino was good. So I called about the Molten chocolate latte to complain about it. I was told that they can make it again. So I went back again , but instead of getting the same Molten chocolate latte which does not taste good , I requested the Molten Chocolate frappucino.
