A lobby closed sign for no reason at all

I have been ordering from this Starbucks for almost a year now; not for the joy of the staff, but for the convenience, as it is the only Starbucks between home and work... They've historically had long super long drive through lines (and still do), but they have recently and consistently closed the lobby in the morning, making it impossible for people like me, who enjoy walking in to get my coffee. It would also seem to be a mistake to make a mobile order here, since you wouldn't be able to walk in to get it. It should not be allowed by management to allow their employees to close the store lobby, just because of high traffic; it comes with the territory of working mornings at Starbucks. Today was the the final straw to make the decision to never go back to this location... It's 7am and I pull up to order my traditional blonde coffee (which stops being brewed at 10-11am... It was explained to have a higher amount of caffeine) when a woman answers and I tell her my order. The woman replied that there is only pike, when I asked how long until blonde was brewed, she said they will not be brewing it at all today, then silence... I asked "No option for a pour-over then?" What happened next? Silence... I'll gladly take the extra 15 to twenty minutes to drive to the Starbucks on Irving Park Rd. in Wood Dale. Much better/nicer staff, but I'm hoping different owners, as I want this owner to not profit from me until the staff is properly trained, so to be like the Starbucks locations I've been to around the USA and the world.

I stood inside at the register for several minutes without being acknowledged. One staff was assisting drive through, and the other two were talking to each other. My order was filled quickly. However, I ordered iced tea and it seemed to be poured from a cup vs the usual pitcher. Seemed a little odd. Inside was very dark like the lights were dimmed. Bathroom had a super strong marijuana smell that almost made me vomit. read more

Very rude employee through the drive thru. Asked for a pumpkin spice latte and the girl literally said "No." and i answered "no what?" and she said "no you can't." i asked why and she said " because we don't have it anymore so no you can't have that drink." That answer was very unprofessional. I would think the right way would've been "i'm sorry we're all out of that drink" or something similar. This was on 01/22/25 around 8:15am read more

I usually would never rate Starbucks but this review is for the amazing bartista Angelina. Her name suits her well because this women is an angel! She is the reason I go every morning. What an amazing human being. Every morning she is smiling and friendly. She remembers my face and my order. Today as I was at the drive through she gave me a holiday card for being one of her favorite customers. I cried happy tears on my way to work with my coffee because such a small act of kindness and thoughtfulness went a long way. With everything going on in the world, to have a stranger think of me was something I'll never forget. Thank you for your awesome customer service and willingness to go the extra mile! I will also say - the coffee is always perfect and the bakery items are perfectly warmed. 5/5 stars always read more

New starbucks location. The service is fast and on point. They do a great job on meeting the rush hour demands. They now have a drive tru a big plus!! They have a awkward parking situation, small parking slots. Its hard for people to back out of spots with the drivetru line full. read more

This is the story of MOQA, where somebody apparently came all the way from Kyrgyzstan, discovered American brunch culture, and made the catastrophic decision to imitate it... poorly. The place looks great. Clean, modern, polished. And then there's the P.O.A. Index. Completely f%*%#ing unhinged. Not just the staff. The entire building. Everywhere I looked there was another absurdly attractive woman working, drinking coffee, eating brunch, typing on a laptop, or otherwise innocently going about her morning while pushing the room's average attractiveness into statistically irresponsible territory. It felt less like a café and more like somebody had accidentally scheduled a casting call for Women Who Will Absolutely Ruin Your Life and forgot to tell me. Whatever was happening in Elk Grove Village that morning, MOQA was ground zero. Naturally, this created expectations. Then the food showed up. The breakfast sausage was a hot dog. Not hot-dog-like. Not some adventurous Central Asian interpretation of breakfast sausage. A hot dog sitting next to eggs pretending nobody would notice. I noticed. Then came the waffles. Something had gone terribly wrong. A waffle has three jobs: crispy outside, soft inside, transport syrup into your mouth. Humanity solved this problem centuries ago. MOQA has somehow reopened the investigation. These waffles seemed confused about what they were, why they existed, and whether breakfast was even the correct career path. I ordered a burger... I've had better ones at elementary school cafeterias. Sauced to the hilt with something gross, bland patty that was obviously premade, and even bacon jam couldn't save it. They even f*#%ed up toast. Toast! And that's really the problem with the whole menu. You came from Kyrgyzstan, a place with an actual culinary identity, and somehow wound up making brunch for people who drive white Teslas and say, "Let's circle back after Pilates." Why? That's an insane trade. Give me Kyrgyz breakfast. Give me Central Asian food. Give me bread, eggs, meat, dairy, tea, something with history, character, and enough personality to make me wonder what the hell I just ordered. Give me breakfast with a g**d*** point of view. I don't need Kyrgyz immigrants explaining waffles to me. America already has IHOP. We have committed enough crimes. MOQA already has the beautiful space. It has the atmosphere. It has friendly staff. It has a P.O.A. Index requiring scientific notation. Now it needs to stop pretending Elk Grove Village desperately needs another vaguely upscale American brunch concept. Embrace Kyrgyzstan. But for the love of God: Throw away the hot dogs. Fix the waffles. Cook the food you actually know.

I would go again, but I hope the service is better. The restaurant itself is very nicely done, lots of outdoor space and the bar area is generous with a very cool lighted bottle rack suspended above. We arrived early (4pm) so valet wasn't yet available and live music hadn't yet started. It was nice that the manager stopped by to introduce herself and welcome us at the start of our meal.

I don't know what happened to the staff of this location but they've turned to bitter butter. Not friendly at all. I tried to be friendly with the cashier and barely get a response or reaction then get my drink from the barista like I bothered her. I get that you support the gay community but must you decorate every wall in a rainbow flag? it's too much! read more
