I feel weird reviewing what is essentially a fast food restaurant, but this was noteworthy enough to leave my own comment. I have been on a monthlong road trip and I tend to seek out Starbucks for coffee on the road because it's familiar and they have nondairy options. I love trying new things, but when finding coffee halfway through a long drive, I'll usually go with what I know. This location was a mess! The floors were messy, the counters were messy, there was stuff everywhere. I saw it was busy when I walked in, but with 5 employees I thought one might stop on their frantic walks past the register to acknowledge me (even just to say they'd be there soon) but I stood there and waited. Once I got someone's attention, she seemed like she needed a break and was fairly curt. I worked in food service; I don't expect a person to grovel at a customer's feet, but a little common courtesy goes a long way. Besides the messy food prep area and dining (drinking?) area, the bathroom was worse than most truck stop bathrooms I have seen on my trip. I came in at 10am and I'm not convinced that the mess I saw was 5 hours' worth. The floors were dirty with shoe marks from a wet dirty floor, there was dried umm.. Run over? On the outside of the toilet, there was no toilet paper.. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned in several days of heavy use. So I was only here for 5-10 minutes and I wasn't even looking for things to criticize because that's not my job or my go-to in any part of my life. Poor management... always out of everything. Will even use regular espresso when you ask for blonde espresso and pretend like it's the same. I have been a Starbucks addict for many years now and travel all over the country. I frequently visit Starbucks and any local coffee shop everywhere I travel. I do know my coffee... on a brighter note... this establishment seems somewhat clean. read more

For a very brief period in my life, I was a Starbucks barista. I'm somewhat familiar with how to make a drink taste great or totally suck, and this Starbucks is hit or miss. Sometimes I get a barista who cares about how my drink tastes, and others I get someone who throws the ingredients (and sometimes not even the right ones) into the cup with reckless abandon. This Starbucks is convenient and okay in a pinch, but if you've got the time, make it to one of the other coffee shops in town and support local business. read more

Came in today for the first time, coming through town on a trip. They didn't have what I originally wanted, but the great manager stepped in and made sure I was taken care of and I really appreciated the hospitality. Whatever it takes is awesome customer service. Thanks again! read more

when i was last in town. i stopped by to get my usual. When my girlfriend asked that her drink be made upside down the lady asked us to explain what that meant. i was surprised. needless to say our drinks were not made correctly and sadly i left disappointed. read more

Horrible customer service. Took them 15 minutes to make my iced grande americano (pour three shots over ice)!!! There were 5 people working and didn't look like they like their job very much. My husband got the mango orange smoothie and tasted like bunch of bananas blended and no sign of orange or mango. Go to McDonald's and get a better smoothie. Just horrible service. read more

Pretty terrible. Went through drive through. Got my drink order wrong. Parked. Went inside to have them fix it. They seemed annoyed. Got the drink wrong again. Absolutely the worst starbucks drink I've ever had. I ordered a very berry hibiscus refresher with light ice and light water. What I got was a drink with more than half the cup filled with ice and berry-colored water. I am not exaggerating: there was NO syrup in the drink. I paid $4.90 for half a glass of berry-colored water. I'm very disappointed. read more

This Starbucks was fine, they were extremely slow, so don't come if you're in a hurry. The drinks were a bit below average, watery but not too bad, the pastries were fine but a bit burned if you ask for them warmed up. read more

I generally prefer locals, but Starbucks is consistent, so it usually works. Not here. Waited while the two people in front of me talked about what they wanted and had the clerk run back and forth to see what was in stock. A ridiculous wait - but worse, there were 2 cash registers and two other employees doing almost nothing - except ignoring me. When the 2 morons finally got their order in she asked me what I wanted. Just a tall coffee please. OK, that'll be $2.09. I put my money down and she turns around, then turns back to me and asks me if I mind waiting while she makes some coffee. Really? The morons and I were the only people there and Starbucks can't have coffee made? I said no, picked up my money and left. This has happened at other S-bucks because they were busy and ran out. This Starbucks isn't bad, but it isn't good either--it's just okay. Service here can be hit or miss (there's only been once that my drink was messed up and once that it was completely forgotten). They are usually pretty friendly, but some of the baristas have a tendency to be short and very businesslike. If I had a choice for another Starbucks in Elko, I would go to it just to see if the quality was better. However, being a Starbucks, gold card member, coffee junkie, this Starbucks works just fine. It's really not too bad however not up to the standards that most other Starbucks attain. The staff is what makes this location what it is. They are friendly and tend to remember everyone that comes in. My only wish is that they would learn how to make a dry cappuccino, well, dry. The time to make drinks tends to be a little on the slow side. I was going to this location every morning but have since started to visit one of the other coffee shops if I see more than 3 cars in line. A 15-20 minute wait just doesn't work for me. I will continue to visit this location when time permits. Although my cappuccino is too "wet" it's still a great cup of joe. read more

While waiting for a coffee, I noticed that the counter where they put the cups with orders on them are placed on a counter that is soaking wet with liquid. Not one person took the effort to wipe down the counter, letting each cup get wet on the bottom (even the paper cups). Even a manager made no effort. I don't know if this liquid was clean water or dirty coffee spillage. It made me think twice about what contaminants were on my cup. This is one of the dirtiest Starbuck's I've ever been in. I am giving this Starbucks a two star rating because of how dirty the bathroom was! The floors looked like they had been cleaned, black dirt/stuff all over the floor and the sink, the toilet itself needs major attention. No toilet seat covers. The staff is friendly but I was grossed out by the bathroom, not to mention the amount of flies flying around inside. I believe Starbucks has a reputation for clean bathrooms and this location is not operating up to those standards. read more

This is a review of the Starbucks in Elko, NV in the Smiths Plaza off exit 301. During our drive thru order, one of our drinks was handed to us with what appeared to be lipstick on the mouth part of the cover. I told my husband to have a new one made. In ordinary times I would be fine without having watched the new drink being made, but with covid, I wanted to make sure it was a new drink and not one that they just poured into a different cup. I went into the store to request a new one where I could watch the barista make it. The employee told me he made it and he was sure it was new. I still wanted it remade, which I was charged for...I'm ok with that. Better safe than sorry. He told me the "lipstick mark" was strawberry. I could have been a total b about it especially since the drink was for my child. I have only recently felt comfortable getting food or drinks from anywhere during the pandemic, this makes me question how serious these businesses are about safety and health. read more

Drive thru has 2 cars. I'm the second person to put in an order on the inside. Going on 10 minutes and no drink... Wait just got it and it was not even close to what i ordered. But apparently if you're an employee at this location and not working you can walk in and the 3 employees behind the counter will stop what they are doing to help their friend. Not good read more

Decided to go back and give them another chance and lucky for me, the young man and two other young men were working. All three were GREAT! They were friendly, outgoing and extremely helpful. Each time I went in after that, whether it was just one or all all three of them working, they were always just as great. So.... on one of my visits to the store when the manager was in, I told him what amazing young men he had on staff and that he should value them for the employees they are. He was very thankful to have a customer give his employees a compliment rather than a complaint. :) read more

I live local and come here a lot. We got two tall late's and they were so bad we turned around and went back to have them remade. Still tasted bad. I will cut up my gold card and never go back. Tired of paying so much for improperly made latte's. Tired of throwing money away. And another pet peeve about this starbucks is that they seem to ALWAYS be out of the food and drinks I ask for. read more

This is a great little Starbucks. Easy to get to, nice big drive through and duh great coffee. I have never had a bad coffee from this spot. My coffee is always perfect! I don't even know anybody there. Haha. The funniest thing is that everytime I go there with my room mate, they mess her coffee up terribly!! We went in there one day and both got a white chocolate mocha. But I wanted an extra shot of espresso in mine. She ordered both them, and called mine a 3 shot white chocolate and hers a plain white chocolate. I got my drink and it was perfect and they gave her a white hot chocolate! It was the highlight of my day, because till this day she still insist that she ordered a plain white chocolate mocha. read more

I have been to this location several times. Every time we go there is a new person waiting on us. The drinks are never consistant. I have gone through the drive in and been waited on inside. It is always filthy inside. Even when slow the people working are to busy talking to clean. read more
