Personally this is my favorite Starbucks around. I'm okay with it not having a drive thru as I always was mobile ordering and walked in. The employees are the sweetest and really personable, never had a bad experience with them. This Starbucks is great for getting work done, very comfy, quiet when it comes to noise level most days unless you're there after high school gets out and the refills when you sit down are a bonus. I'm pretty simple when it comes to drinks, big fan of the espresso and their brown sugar cortado for something warm and I'm a sucker for iced coffee or cold brew. Unfortunately, with the way Starbucks increases their prices I won't get their lattes anymore, content with the iced coffee. I used to get their ham and cheese croissants all the time when they were around $3.50, now they're over $5 after tax and it's just not reasonable. The employees are my favorite part though and I will continue going back for iced coffee and for here refills. read more

Rarely visit Starbucks as its way too expensive. I was a Starbucks barista in college but truly don't see the hype in overpriced coffee beverages. Waited 30 minutes for it, watching people come in after me, order and get their items before me. Barista finally made my "hot" coffee, which was barely lukewarm. Had to get an appointment I was going to be late for because of the wait. Called the store to try to give them the opportunity to make it right and nobody answered. But, badly in need of a caffeine fix (and loving Starbucks's consistently excellent coffee), I decided to throw care to the winds and give it another try. BIG MISTAKE. I guess this isn't adding a whole lot to what is already here on Yelp but this location is in serious need of a parking situation upgrade. Typically Starbucks has its fair share of slow coffee sippers and people enjoying a brew while talking business or catching up on life. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but at this location cars are doing hot laps in the lot trying to find a spot. It's worse than the weekend before Christmas when people at the mall are following you to your car. I do enjoy Starbucks on occasion, but have a tough time recommending this one because of the tough parking situation. While it's not recommended, you could always park at Empower FCU across the street and walk over. They typically have ample parking available. read more

It's no secret that I'm a lover of the bux. I spent many years behind the line as a barista/shift supervisor. This cafe was kept clean, the drinks/snacks were made correctly and quickly, and though I didn't notice until after we sat down it's a reserve store! I'll have to come back later and try some of their special offerings. Maybe in the world. It's the clover vacuum brewing system. Put some of their single origin reserve estate coffee in it and you get a fantastic cup of coffee. Ahhhh but the price. Well I get this when I build up to 120 points and it's free. If you haven't tried a clover brew, you MUST. As a coffee aficionado of 15 years as a self-roaster, you will not be disappointed. We were staying at a hotel within walking distance and we were able to get our morning fix without risking our lives in crossing the main drag. Service was quick and easy. Grande chai is my favorite and was glad to have it! The spot was clean and WiFi. Parking lot is small. This is a small location in general, but it works! This is my go-to for my Skinny Vanilla Latte and occasional Spinach-Wrap. While service here is generally very good, the parking situation needs to change, as it is always jam-packed, causing people to either wait around or inappropriately park, blocking areas of the parking lot. Aside from parking, the new, larger seating area makes it nice, as now there is more room to sit down and enjoy your beverage and social hour or a quiet moment doing work on your computer. Obviously, this is the place to be for coffee, and while I am not sure there is much they can do about the parking situation, I don't foresee their popularity changing any time in the near future. read more

It pains me to give my neighborhood 'Bucks such low ratings but it is the slowest store I've ever patronized in any city. The Mobile Order service has been out long enough that the process should be much smoother. Your coffee sits on the counter getting cold while you work to get someone's attention. When you finally do, it is if you are disturbing them. Generally, the coffee is good but always served much cooler than other locations. The renovation of the store is wonderful but parking continues to be a problem (not their fault). read more

It's really an unfortunate location, especially since they're ripping up the sidewalk in front (08/16). Still though, once inside the sitting area is okay. I used to love coming to this Starbucks, but the atmosphere changed around the time they renovated. Before that, the service was fast, the workers were friendly, and they all knew our names. It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy a beverage. Now, there is no outdoor space, and the servers seem to be different all the time. There are not enough of them, which makes them hurry, make mistakes in orders and not have the time to even smile, let alone learn our names. Mobile orders are so slow. The main reason you get them is to save time, but they just sit there, and it takes forever to get the attention of the rushed workers and flag your order. Ok so I read the reviews. So the reason your simple order isn't made ahead of others is because orders are made in the order they are taken at register and app as well. Staff is low at this location because that is what is allotted from corporate. The baristas are not magicians and some of your drinks take a few to make. If you have never been an employee in this type of environment you should really step back or give it a try and see if you can do better. There are always good and not so good employees in the service industry, but they should never all be graded as one. If you see that the barista is busting their butt to fill orders consider they are doing the best they can. If you don't have time to wait maybe consider that you don't have time to stop for coffee. I have waited here for coffee, but I go in with the mindset that I may have to wait. If you think yelling at or talking down to the staff makes things go faster, it does not. On the contrary it only brings the staff down who are trying to do the best they can and would you like to be treated like that? To one individual who asked, they do not make $80,000. They are working to earn an honest living. I am not an employee of Starbucks but I worked the service industry for many years in my younger life. This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to...the service is slowwwwww. I ordered an iced coffee black (literally the easiest thing to make - pour the pitcher into a cup of ice and you're done) and watched as the barista made the other 6 drinks already ordered and not started in front of my order, all of which were semi complicated. Idk...maybe have more than one person on register OR more than one barista (OR a more efficient barista) because the line to order and the wait for coffee is ALWAYS terribly slow. I'll never be back, this location is run like a hole in the wall that thinks serving coffee should take 10-15 minutes. For the record, THIS IS WHY THE PARKING LOT SEEMS TOO SMALL. In reality, it is a proper amount of spaces for a coffee shop. However, when you take 15 mins of your day waiting in line to order, then waiting in line for your drink to be ready, there is no in-and-out option as a customer and your car fills up other soon-to-be customers parking spots, and so on and so forth... I have been to Starbucks all over the world, this one is okay. Most of the staff is great, the outdoor seating is good. The problem is the regular, self absorbed customers who park anywhere they want, especially in the handicap spot or the striped area of the handicap spot (for vehicles with lifts). Many of the "regulars" see this as their own parking space for their Mercedes and so they don't have to walk another 10 yards for their coffee. The parking lot needs a paving and to be re striped, but inside all is good. A very busy place, if you put up with the fine people of Fayetteville/Manlius and their attitudes, it's a good coffee spot. read more

As someone who travels throughout North America extensively, Starbucks becomes my "office" and "hang-out" across the content. With one exception (the Lake Placid, NY store) Starbucks employees are gracious, friendly and very pleasant to deal with. The Fayetteville staff is no exception and help make a subpar Starbucks a bit better. This location Starbucks is not the best out there. The store tends to be a little dirty and the bathrooms are not always kept up. The parking lot is awful and the outdoor seating has too many smokers who overtake the setting. To make this a better Starbucks the regional manager needs to address the smoking issues as well as the dirty store and bathrooms. Again though, the staff at the Fayetteville store are always friendly and very courteous, so please, if any of you are reading this, keep up the friendly and cheery ways! One MAJOR downside to this location is a group of regulars who I have overheard using the "N" word (especially when referring to the President), the "faggot" word and other just plain bigoted and racist nonsense. Their constant presence makes the vibe of this location store very unfriendly and tense. It is a shame that they are allowed to continue their racist and LGBT-rants in the store, especially when you consider the wonderful socially responsible stance Starbucks takes for LGBT equality. Should you happen to be in the Fayetteville Starbucks and hear these regulars going on with their GOP/Teabagger hatred and bigotry, make a point to tell them to keep it quieter, or take it away from the store. read more
