Back home in Austin, I've been to Starbucks once in the last 4+ years (I'd been up till 7 a.m. and had plans at 10 a.m. Sue me.), but when we were out and about and getting a little groggy in Sundance Square in the middle of the afternoon, this was just about our only option, and it definitely served to satisfy a craving. I forwent the coffee, but my soy chai was just right. I remember having one six years ago at a Starbucks as I waited nervously for an interview in downtown Austin and thinking it tasted like crap, so perhaps they've improved their formula. Fast-forward six or so hours. We've finished dinner at Cabo Grande and feel like we better get out of there, but we've got advance tickets in an hour to see Four Day Weekend, so we need to kill some time. I'm not feelin' another alcoholic drink so soon after my grande margarita, so we head BACK to Starbucks. We both went for tea this time, and my gingery green was not quite fully brewed, but it was pretty good. His Earl Grey was Earl Greyish. It's relatively cute for a Starbucks and was busy, busy, busy at around 9 on a Saturday night. I just can't hate (though I can suggest they cut back on the Streisand. I come to Starbucks all the time and it's usually fine, but this was my first time at this location and it will definitely be my last. A woman with long black hair took my order and was mean and rude. She acted like I was a total inconvenience to her otherwise empty store. After she took my order, she began to say bad things about me to the person in line behind me who later came and told me. I reviewed this place awhile back and figured I'd try it again because they had to have changed for the better, right? Wrong! This is 5th time coming here this week. Now they are over-staffed, rude, incompetent, and slower than it was before. This is clearly a management problem. I placed an order for pick up through the app and when I got there they had not even started making it. The taller kid with the curly hair is completely rude. No people skills and should not be in customer service. I hope Starbucks corporate monitors these reviews. That location should be an embarrassment. It is an oversight like this that weakens the brand name. The only change from my last review is that they have more people and somehow managed to be even slower. This place is habitually understaffed and slow. Today one guy was making coffee, the line was out the door, one girl taking orders, and 2 other employees were doing busy work. This starbucks is by far my favortie! The location can not be beat. If you have not recently been to down town Fort Worth, I suggest you do! They have closed down the middle of main street and have a BEAUTIFUL water fountain. (Kinda of like Vegas but not as extravagant) Starbucks has tables out side to enjoy this wonderful site! The service is quick and like all starbucks, they are super friendly! So do youself a favor, take a break from the busy city life and enjoy an iced coffee and the amazing Fort Worth Plaza. read more

High traffic, slow service, and a small space that fills quickly. I asked for a simple drink - iced caramel machiato- and it was not made right (not enough vanilla syrup). The staff was friendly enough, but man... the interior is just so small and hard to navigate when there's a weekend crowd. Only one door to enter/exit, so that certainly does not help the situation. If you're dying for an Sbux fix and you're in Sundance Square, this location really is your only option. So you'll have to "deal with it" and drudge through the shortcomings. On a brighter note, there's great space outside to sit, relax, and enjoy the water feature. Lots of great people watching while you sip coffee. The baristas were friendly, but with a touch of sass-- not exactly what I needed early on Easter Sunday, but probably fine under other circumstances. Great location off of Sundance Square. The employees are friendly, which is a bonus! I love going to Starbucks and picking up one of the collector's mugs from different cities. Why five stars? 1. It's a Starbucks Reserve, with an expanded selection of drinks. They're very good. 2. Watching the Clover machine in action is a trip - it takes what looks like a full cup of beans, creates a... coffee sponge, vacuums it up, and requires a squeegee. Very elaborate and it creates a pretty kicking cup of coffee! 3. Unflappable baristas. They're very familiar with the new Reserve coffees, and they're happy to make recommendations. 4. Pretty accommodating seating options, including two long tables for large groups. In warmer weather the outdoor seating should make for great people-watching. 5. If you'd rather walk and coffee than sit and coffee, there's always something going on in Sundance Square. We've seen Santa, ballet rehearsals, and coffee tastings. read more

They have a very large selection of food compared to other Starbucks and they also have wine. Two downsides, there is only one bathroom so sometimes you have to wait quite sometime. I parked in sundance parking and had to get a pass validated in order for the parking to be free. I went to this starbucks, made a purchase, and was told there was no need to validate the card because it was free on the weekends. Fast forward to leaving sundance parking and guess what happened when we tried to leave? We were told we needed the card to be validated by Starbucks or we would have to pay $5. I thought I loved Starbucks but what happened today at this one made me change my outlook on them! I am a Starbucks member and cardholder and have never had problems with them until today they refused me a free water. Starbucks has always been generous with this until today when a very rude barista named Jenna said "That's our policy" and said she wouldn't give me one. Funny thing is, last week I was here and had no problem getting a water for me and one for my friend! It's 100 degrees outside and I can't get one small (tall) water for free???
