My husband and I used to live nearby, and some of our favorite memories are walking over on weekends with our pup, grabbing coffee, and sitting out front just enjoying the moment. I recently visited the Elmhurst Craft location for an event and had one of those experiences that just sticks with you. I was chatting with a barista about how much I love (and deeply miss!) the Equinox. She mentioned she was newer and hadn't tried it, but saw it in the recipe book and agreed it sounded amazing--which, for the record, it absolutely is (or was ). A little while later, she came running up to me asking if I was the one talking about the Equinox. When I said yes, she surprised me with an Equinox sticker she had dug up. Such a small, simple gesture--but it genuinely meant so much and made my entire night. To the Brewpoint leadership team: that moment alone earned my loyalty for life. Customer service like that is rare, and it deserves to be recognized. I didn't catch her name, but I was there Thursday, March 19 between 6-8 PM at the Craft location--she was running the sample table and sharing the carrot cake latte (which, by the way, was incredible). I ended up ordering coffee for my work team and all were impressed by the flavors! I got a Black Americano, Hot Borealis Latte, and the Whipped Carrot Cake Latte for myself. The Carrot Cake Latte may be a new all time favorite of mine! It wasn't too sweet but just leaned into the flavor profile enough. My coworker who had the Hot Borealis said it may have been her favorite latte she's tried. I also got the Herbed Goat Cheese Croissant which is familiar yet unique with the pop of savoriness. Overall, this was a great experience as a stop in when passing through the area. Brewpoint continues to have great flavors that leaves a lasting impression. Staff is friendly and pricing is fair.

They warm the pastry up for me which definitely made it better. I maybe spent $15 for two drinks and a pastry which was phenomenal considering other places would have been higher in price. The empanada choices: are spinach & artichoke, chicken, and vegetarian. The best was the vegetarian, then the chicken followed by the spinach and artichoke. In my honest opinion, for an $11.50 meal, you would have been better off grabbing a $3 bag of tostinos pizza rolls and coke from the dollar tree and being more filled and satisfied. I was not impressed and I honestly believe that the space has so much more potential to draw in a larger crowd if the food choices were improved.

The donuts were ready when I stopped in, but this time, their special Fourth of July was not available, so just got another Long John. The donuts were good, perfectly fine for the convenience.

I had heard that 7 Brew's drinks tended to be on the sweet side so I was expecting it to be heavy on the syrup but the toasted marshmallow flavor ended up being very faint. The latte just tasted more like sweetened milk actually. I couldn't really discern much of a coffee flavor even. I wonder if the medium iced option at 24oz just has more likelihood of being not as strong. As I was waiting for my drink the breve section did catch my eye. I might stop by again and get a small one of those to give the place another chance but at least I know for now that I haven't been missing out on too much.
