Depending on the time of day, the service queues can be a bit spotty. Like many other places, their staffing is challenged by people wanting to take a job there. I am a former barista for Starbucks so I am aware what it takes to work behind the counter. The difficulty level of their beverages have definitely increased so I'm willing to give some slack. First, Brandy, the store manager, suggested the Iced Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte yesterday and I ordered it today. Oh my goodness, it's good, not overly sweet and very buttery! YUM So let's talk about where they excel: In the morning, the queues can be difficult. I HIGHLY recommend ordering via the app. They are always spot-on correct and if you give them about 15 minutes from ordering at your home and arriving, then it's a matter of STOP BEING LAZY, park your car, walk into the store, get your order, and leave. Food can take a hot minute to get but, again, using the app will almost guarantee a walk-in and walk-out experience. The morning crew is awesome! They are friendly and attentive. They understand one thing - it's going to busy but they usually take care of business with a willingness to help. Now let's talk about areas they could improve: The cafe can get messy and they only have one person on the register or running (or both) they don't always pay attention to cleaning tables or floors. The bathrooms can be a bit spotty too. However, if you have a table that's dirty and you ask them to clean it? They will. What's the moral of the story? ASK! Late afternoon queues, especially for drive-thru can be long. Again, the app will save you some time. if they are running any type of afternoon sale, DEFINITELY USE THE APP to avoid long wait times and give at least 20 minutes before arriving to the store. Recently, there have been drive-thru queue times from the time I've gotten to the drive way to order to leaving of 15+ minutes. read more

I've been coming to this branch (Fridley) for many years and I have never been disappointed with the service and the taste and quality of my orders when I received them, until this happened (see picture). This pink drink was mixed very poorly. It had no taste (unless you call watery a taste). It looked so watered-down and it was also missing some ingredients. I'm all for equal opportunity employment, but, the 16 and 17 year old crew they have in that branch needs some serious adult supervision, you know, someone that actually focuses on what they were doing. As I was waiting for my three drinks being made and my car windows rolled down, I could hear the three girls inside laughing and talking about the latest videos they saw, you know, instead of focusing on the actual job at hand. I was very disappointed. If there wasn't a construction going on around this branch, which makes it a hassle to drive back there to voice my complaint, I would have. I never got my coffee or birthday sandwich yesterday, June 25th they said they never received it ... even though i paid for everything & it went through correctly. I didn't have the time when she (employee) told me in a caring way "we never got the order". she did not offer my money back. prolly cuz they never received it. it was a bummer trip for me !!! it seems like your employees have no power to make on the spot refunds. or no way to track what happened in your infrastructures. it was hurtful for the nonchalantly of the whole ordeal. read more

A Starbucks is a Starbucks! Good location that's right off of 694 and Central. There is another Starbucks just a block away inside the target, but that parking lot is always too crazy for me. This is a smaller building, however there is still plenty of tables available. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not the best service I've received, but certainly not the worst. Drink was made quickly even with a busy drive thru going and I did a walk in. The only downside of this location is the strange entrance (I feel like I say/see this EVERYTIME I go to a starbucks anymore!) The parking lot isn't huge either so I hope you bring a small car, or a car you're very comfortable parking in closer quarters. Overall a solid starbucks, solid service and solid coffee! read more

Thank goodness this area finally got a starbucks not in a Target! I have now visited this location, both inside and in the drive thru. The Drive Thru line is deceiving since it is almost completely hidden behind the building so you don't know if its faster or not to park until you are already stuck in line. *Chances are its a long line...*. The inside is designed nice, but the staff is already negligent of keeping the place nice and neat. There was spilled sugar substitutes all over the place and left over newspapers. This place has now been open long enough for them to know better. Speed of service is just fine, not too long, not too short. I am learning as with most other locations the drive thru is really just a lazy mans way to get coffee, and by no means faster. This place is no exception. Super slow drive thru!! Since the inside of the store is still closed due to COVID, the drive thru should be quicker since they aren't also taking orders inside, but this is not the case. I was in the drive thru line for 45 min with maybe 10 cars ahead of me and finally ordered. Unacceptably slow. Regular Starbucks but the staff was super friendly. There was a huge line in the drive thru so I went inside. The place was spotless and people were productive. Easy in and out of this place. Got an iced caramel Macchiato and an egg bacon breakfast item. The eggs feel mushy when you bite into them, no texture. At least the bacon was good. read more

The service is subpar here. I stood at the counter without being acknowledged by any of the staff for a while. I realize this is a busy location, but give me a head nod or something to let me know you've seen me. My drink hadn't arrived after several other folks had gotten theirs who had ordered after me, so I again tried to get someone's attention to ask if maybe it had been forgotten and no one would speak to me. I literally don't know what they do. I've lived down the street from these guys for almost two years. When we first moved in I was beyond excited that it was so close because I have a Starbucks addiction. So I went here several times when we first moved in. Every time my order was wrong. It didn't matter if I went in, if I went to the drive thru. They even remade it once cause I was so annoyed and it was still wrong. Long story short it completely ruined it for me (it's not like I have a complicated order. Extra matcha add vanilla) I only go to the Starbucks in the target now they never mess my order up and it's always delicious. So I said it's been almost two years it's cold I didn't wana get out of my car and decided to give them another try. Again I got an even simpler order then usual (which is why I thought it was safe) I don't know what they did but my frappe literally tastes likes ice. There's no flavor. It tastes watery. I have no idea what they could have possibly done I didn't ask for anything extra just a green tea frappe. (Something I get at the target location regularly and it's delicious) I'm super disappointed as usual. And I officially felt the need to tell people to AVOID THIS LOCATION! I started going here because it has a super location right off highway 694 where it is easy to get right back on the freeway when you are done. I absolutely LOVE this Starbucks. I get consistent, delicious drinks and service is super friendly from order to pick up. They are also FAST so you aren't wasting precious time if you are in a hurry. Holy cow. I thought maybe people were being too hard on this location. Having worked in food service, it can be difficult. But this place deserves these reviews. I ordered on the app and went to pick it up. I stood there while someone wiped the glass, I stood there while the baristas made drinks, I just stood there. No one made eye contact or acknowledged me. Finally, the barista made the drink she had been working on, assuming it was mine and looked at me. I said "Nope, I didn't have that" and she called it out again. Then she snapped "What did you have then?" I was actually taken aback was she was so rude. Made on online order. It was accepted. Went to the location. Hand written signs folded and falling off said they were closed at 4. We were in the drive thru line before 4. When we got up to the speaker they wouldn't answer. So we drove to the window. Could see employees inside. We knocked and they refused to acknowledge us. Laughed and carried on ignoring us. Called corporate to get our refund and report the unprofessional employees. Left them a note letting them know they were reported to corporate. read more

This location is 4 blocks from my house but we refuse to go there anymore. It's been the most annoying experience at any location we have ever used. They take FOREVER to make drinks and are always busy talking to each other and gossiping, rather than acknowledging the customer and taking the order and getting it entered correctly, they continue their sidetalk, about last night, this weekend, etc. Its been 3 years since we moved here, ive talked to corporate and the manager but it's like they smile and nod and curse you out in their head..then after 30 min in line, you can go about your day. Only go through this drive thru if you have like an extra 10-15 minutes. Always busy but not staffed enough. And the staff doesn't know what they're doing. I just had a horrible experience. Terrible service! Ordered drinks though the Starbucks app and wasn't notified until I arrive to pick up the drinks that they're out of the ingredients. When I ask how this happens I'm told "we sometimes forget to mark off what we're out of". Then when I ask for a drink carrier for the 3 drinks that I bought anyway I'm told "I think we're out". The drive thru takes forever. They didn't realize they didn't have green tea for my drink until after I had already paid. I was in a rush and had three kids with me so I could wait any longer. Took a long time for my refund. None of the employees even seemed to care that it took forever. I don't recommend this place. Also, once you commit to the drive thru you cannot get out.
