We went for coffee around 7:30 on a Sunday looking for a place to relax and enjoy the coffee and ambience. Before we could sit down one of the employees went and made himself comfortable on the only area with the couches--completely laying across the couch. This is a great Starbucks location! Although their parking lot is quite small, the inside is large and spacious. There is plenty of seating here, including a few small two-tops against the wall, many four-tops, a conference table, some comfy lounge chairs and excellent natural light. The staff here is welcoming and kind. They have the same menu of food and drink options as any Starbucks of course. They are quick and are always happy to accommodate any crazy orders ("I'll have a mocha latte with half almond milk, half dairy milk, 6 pumps of chocolate, warmed to exactly 102 degrees, with a teeny dallop of whipped cream and cinnamon on top." hahhaha (not my order but you get the point)). Plus, they always do this with a smile on their face! It is clean inside and it smells great. Also, the bathrooms were really clean too, that's always nice! I love the ceiling in this space. It is a very high ceiling with exposed pipes. It is a nice balance of industrial and natural with the lighting and wooden furniture. Their coffee drinks are made to order and are always consistent. I typically brew my own coffee but was in need of an afternoon pick-me-up today. Stopped by this Starbucks location quickly on a Friday afternoon and pulled into a spot to go in versus sitting in a 10 car drive thru. Interior was well-appointed and well-staffed. The gentleman who took my order was very friendly, bubbly, and complimentary. I know it sounds silly, but it made my day. Things are tough right now, so I appreciated him putting that positive energy out there. Coffee was typical, consistent Starbucks quality. Was way quicker to go in, by the way. The drive threw was backed up and out onto the road! So I went in... It is a typical Starbucks... but don't try to get in the drive thru! It was rediculously backed up!! Service inside was great! I have gone to this location multiple times and every time they are rude and get my order incorrect. The manager here acts like she doesn't care about her job and i don't see how she can be the manager. She has the worst attitude I've seen. I went in there again today and the cashier rang in the incorrect tea so once I got it I had to ask the barista to remake it. He was pissed like it was my fault, first of all I wouldn't order my drink like that I get the most basic it's black unsweetened ice tea. How do you screw that up? They always put lemonade and blueberry or sugar in it. Even though I specifically say unsweetened. And when they put sugar in it they are messing with someone's health because it is a health condition. It can kill someone. So think twice before making anything for anyone. read more

I've come here 15 times . The manager here has the absolute worst attitude at all the Starbucks I've been to in my entire life. I've traveled to over 50 countries . This is my favorite Starbuck's in the greater Grand Rapids area. All of the people who work here are friendly and go out of their way to remember my name and favorite coffee drink--venti decaf mocha with skim milk, no whip! They're fast and efficient, too. Can't seem to get the Unsweetened ice tea right, the tea is either sweetened or really weak. No one apologizes when I have to park and go inside to get my simple order right, I was even told once that they hadn't put sweetener in it, though the most typical response is "oh". read more

I know working as a starbucks barista isn't an easy job some of the time (speaking as an ex-employee) and she made me want to start working for starbucks again. In the past, I would feel almost "attacked" by the employees overbearing enthusiasm, but, you don't find that here. If only I could recall the gentlemans name that helped me. Kudos to you! The staff are friendly, service is superb, and there is an incredible amount of seating available keeping this busy coffee shop available to numerous customers. I go to this Starbucks probably once a week. The service is always top of the line pleasant and FAST. I've shown up when their drive thru was full (I always go inside) and still manage to get my drink in less than 5 minutes every time. My boyfriend has a special order (dairy issues) and they never once have complained about it or messed it up. This Starbucks is the best! read more
