So I really dropped the ball with this review. I usually start with a bunch of photos, but I was…read moretoo preoccupied with taking in the charming ambiance, the veteran-created art pieces, the photos and stories all around honoring the legacy of the heroes who have served their nation, and getting to meet the interesting people inside. I realize the tiny structure is perfect for what this place is all about - honoring the stories each of us holds through connection and community. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, possibly the best drip coffee I've ever had (and I have had some really good coffee!) and I'm told by my wife that the chai was absolutely delightful. A small menu of drinks and treats may make this spot slip off of your radar - but you would be missing out on a magical little place that, as the name implies, truly has heart... and plenty of it.

I love all of the natural light, music (Jack Johnson when I was there), and overall vibes. Enjoyed the pour over coffee (takes time) and they had almond milk I could add on request. Has Heart Coffee Shop celebrates veterans and their stories. Their goal is to make sure every vet never has to pay for coffee. Located directly across from the GR Children's Museum entrance in Veterans Memorial Park. Street parking (meters / MOTU App) if you can get in before the museum opens.

These donuts were soooooo chewy and delicious and the flavors are expansive. I was going to order 2, but the box fits 3, and he talked me into it. I asked for a recommendation on the most popular flavor, but all of them looked so good, and the three that I chose were delicious. Hail to the double chocolate one!! I cannot wait to go back and try more flavors. The business was clean and bright, but there were only two other people inside. There is plenty of room for quite a few people to sit. I didn't opt to get any other food or drink, but the items that the people ahead of me ordered looked delicious. The service was over-the-top good. The guy was very helpful and friendly (and patient with my poor decision-making skills). He also tried talking me into other items, but I didn't have the room. I'm sure I will find time to go back for a corn dog, ramen, or boba. They also have a section where they sell snacks and packaged food.

I never realized that it's located so close to the movie theater and Meijer Gardens! I would absolutely stop over there before or after going to one of those. There's ample parking and it's within the general area of the movie theater. The spot itself has a good amount of seating and some of the coolest decor. There is a massive wooden art piece detailing history which is so fun to just sit and read. The staff was more than friendly and polite. They gave us some really helpful information and recommendations for drinks. We didn't end up eating any of the food but the honeycomb dessert looked incredible and my boss has said that the spinach pie is amazing. I really loved my strawberry matcha! The drink was beautiful and tasted really great!

Overall, everything was solid. The Qishr was good, though I think it could have used a bit more kick. Aside from that, the coffee was excellent and the rest of what we tried did not disappoint. I also had an organic mango juice, which was fresh (even though it came in a bottle) and really enjoyable.
