I waited 7 minutes at the counter/register to be greeted and for a cashier to take my order. The two lady's both working behind the counter gossiped amongst themselves while I stood there waiting at the register. Poor customer service. I've been here multiple times as I live nearby, but sheesh. Everytime I've gone, they mess something up. I'm not a coffee snob, and I always get the same latte. 50% of the time, the milk is burnt so badly that I don't want to finish my drink. Worst Starbucks ever! Just left there after a 1/2 hr. wait. 3 people working (kinda)--SLOW-SLOW-SLOW! Waited in line forever (4 people behind us gave it up and moved on) finally give our order for 2 regular coffee's, girl goes to coffee machine turns around and states they don't have any. Would we mind waiting while she brews some? Are you kidding me? A coffee place with no coffee? I'm all for getting out of Dodge, but husband states that he has already invested most of the day here, so he is going to see it through. So here we stand & wait and wait and wait some more. Everyone in line is served & the final person orders a reg. coffee, girl gives him his coffee and than, WOW, we are finally given ours! I' m kinda giddy now, 'cause we're almost out of there. Key word here- almost! Make it over to coffee bar & no half & half. Jeeze, just what is it that these people do that is so hard they can't brew coffee or change out the empties? On a final note: maybe if the guy making the drinks would stop talking so much things might move along better. We were there Tuesday, July 2nd around 12:30, in case anyone in management cares to know who 3 worst employees are. Despite not being that busy they were incredibly slow. The space itself is smaller than a typical Starbucks. They had two people working. One acted like he didn't wanna be there (atypical for sbux). The other was friendly, but when I asked if they had any bananas she said that fruit is a "west coast thing." Strange response. read more

I was so excited for the chestnut praline to come out. I went and got an iced chestnut praline from this location. The barista put the tiniest dollop of whip cream, which it looked very odd and no topping at all. I shouldn't have to ask for the chestnut praline topping, it's expected when I order the drink. A few days later I ordered a hot chestnut praline from this location, and got no topping. Even if I ask for no whip, I expect the topping. If I get a hot latte I still expect the topping, that's what the pictures show on the ads and websites at least. The topping I am referring to is the "spiced praline crumbs" in the description on Starbucks website. read more

The baristas were nice, but this location needed cleanliness and more space. There was trash outside the door and in the parking lot. I read reviews about the dirty bathrooms; then again, which Starbucks doesn't have a dirty bathroom? I wanted to get some work done before my next appointment this morning. However, it was impossible to sit at the empty tables along the windows because customers were standing in front of them while waiting for their drinks. It would be awkward for a line of booties to be in front of my face. I also noticed that people were sitting around without ordering. Next time, I'll check out SBUX at B&N. read more

I adore Starbucks coffee so in comparison to the other shops this one is extremely slow and indeed lacks in customer service. A few issues I've dealt with are, getting skipped in line with no support from staff, receiving the incorrect order twice in a row with ill attitude, and an occasional impatient staff member working the cashier. Now with that being said, the actual quality of drinks are extremely well made in comparison with other Starbucks. As long as you have the patience, I do recommend this store. read more

Do not try and use your Starbucks card or the app. They do not take them. Some excuse about being in a Barnes an Nobel makes them not be a REAL Starbucks! I have been to several Starbucks that are not "stand alone" style and have not had a problem using my Starbucks card to pay. Thursday, September 12,2019 Upon entering Starbucks we were greeted by a very cheerful barista. He spoke and we had a very pleasant experience with him. After purchasing brownies, he pointed us in the direction to get our mobile orders. I would give him 5 stars for being pleasant to talk to at about 8:15pm. Here's where it turns..... we go to pick up our order as normal. They had 3 of our cups empty. No strawberry purée. Ok...disappointed but I changed my almond milk orders. Well...when she went to make them...she put almond milk in one and whole milk in the other. I quickly asked her if she's using almond milk for both. She had to change after becoming confused. She threw the whole milk in the sink and put almond milk in another cup. After that a young lady visiting from Europe asked the same Barista was it too late to change one of her drinks to soy milk. The barista acted like it was a problem. The young lady looked at me and said, "they're NOT so nice here". I spoke up and said they usually are but she's not tonight! The young lady dropped her hard green straw and said I need to ask her to rinse it off. I told her it would be better to ask the guy up front. He gladly did it with a smile on his face. When the barista finished making our drinks, she pushed them to us and one tipped over. That was just more to make the young lady think "they aren't so nice". I was very disappointed that she felt this way and that's why I decided to write a review. I will now have to drive 5 additional minutes when I go to Starbucks because of that barista (young lady)! All we were trying to do is get our buy one get one free, especially after a long day! read more

Today they went above and beyond, I ordered a Pumpkin Spice frap but they heard me talking to another guest about their Caramel Mocha and how I wished I had ordered that instead, so my barista offered to make it!! This is my least favorite Starbucks to go to. I've maybe had 2 good experiences out of 10. My drink is never made correctly, or the the quality it should be. Iced drinks taste flat because of too much milk and not the right calibration of the espresso machine. I can stand at the hand off area for 10 minutes and never be acknowledged. I've waited for too long for a mobile order. I See partners walking around instead of focusing on customer service and getting orders out every time. Today when I ordered an iced double tall caramel macchiato, I could tell there was only one shot. It was extremely light in color. When I asked if there was two shots the barista replied yeah. And that was it. When she and I both knew my drink was made incorrectly. Being a former partner for 4 years, this is very disappointing to see the lack of care for making the perfect beverage. And lack of connection with customers. Not going to this Starbucks any longer. read more

Just when I thought Starbucks locations in the Hampton Roads Area were improving I happened upon the Coliseum Crossing location. Boy was I wrong. This place has polite associates but when it comes to making drinks... I'll just say so much for Starbucks consistency. I ordered a triple grande caramel macchiato with extra sauce. Received a regular drink without the extras. Returned later and requested a remake. I am 100% certain this drink was made with less expresso than the first. There's not very many Starbucks in the area unless you want to go inside of a big store like Farm fresh or target. This is the only one near me that is standalone. However there is no drive-through in the parking lot is kind of cumbersome if you have a large vehicle. The service here has never been great not one time. And I would say two out of three times that I've gotten my drink I've been unsatisfied or it's been incorrect. I've ordered the same drink since 2009 the same way the same exact drink however this place gets it wrong almost every time. I don't know where else to go for a good Starbucks drink I'm crossing my fingers and praying that we're going to get a new one with the drive-through soon. This place is very tiny inside there are I think seven or eight tables inside, and those are the small two-seater tables. There are about five barstools that you can go see up to the countertop. Very awkward inside as far as arrangement and space. You need to have your butt in someone's face it sitting at a table or your neck and neck shoulder to shoulder with somebody that you don't know. Very tiny very awkward. The barista's are not friendly. I'm especially the one male that's older than the rest of the crew. I have never gotten any friendly vibe smile or anything from this guy. Most of the time the crew act like I'm a bother. However there was only one and I think that's the manager that's actually smiled and acknowledge me. Otherwise they're very snooty. This is the slowest starbucks I have ever been to. I always do a mobile order and get there and its never ready and I have to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for my order. I only order a venti white chocolate mocha! Geez! They have some of the slowest workers ever! Made me late to work today and I order way more than enough time to pick it up and get to work on time. read more

I've visited this location several times and I must say, this team does an awesome job maintaining their composure and providing amazing service during very busy times and a confined working space. A few of the employees are definitely stand outs, one of them, I believe his name was Nathaniel, did an awesome job explaining to me that the rewards can be used on the different food items as well as drinks. 10 years ago it used to be a great place for me when I first came to Hampton. Right now the service is a lot worse. As another person pointed out, they serve someone behind you first. Maybe they serve respectable looking people first. They can take excuses for having no definitive waiting lines and a few places around the counter you can order. When they found the most respectable person at certain place they will suddenly see this person and go there. Not wonder people nowadays like drive-through in which case discrimination is harder. You better have a very good ear to tell whether it is a respectable looking person. Besides, there maybe respectable person following the shabby looking one so that delaying would be ultimate offense to the latter. read more

Always slow, and drinks aren't the best. I've had a drink remade 3 times because they just couldn't figure it out. It's simple, iced caramel macchiato. It takes 15 minutes to get a drink. I now go to farm fresh Starbucks because they are much faster and taste like it should. I used to work for Starbucks and always cared about quality and was quick at making drinks correctly. So it's hard for me not to jump behind bar and get everyone's drinks out and retrain the baristas on do's and dont's. I see a lot of short cuts here. read more

The bathroom situation needs some serious improvement. The toilet looks absolutely wretched, and probably hasn't been cleaned in the past six months, and the lock on the door doesn't work. Very disappointed in this Starbucks establishment. read more
