Quality of drinks match any other Starbucks but the 3 stars is definitely due to how long this takes to get anything made (drive thru or inside). Staff is nice and working extremely hard, this place is just overwhelmed with the volume of customers. On a Sunday morning ( around 10 am), it took about 25 minutes to just get a single drink made. Lots of carry out orders placed slowing it down too. Plenty of tables inside, although gets quite loud with how many people are in line/waiting. Note: this might be the worst parking lot in all of Highlands Ranch. They have the drive thru going right through the middle of it and even though it's two ways, there is no room for any of the cars. This Starbucks drives me nuts. Typically super slow. I always order a salted caramel cold brew with the caramel ribbon crunch topping. I've literally had a Starbucks worker look me in the face and tell me oh yeah, it's on there when it clearly wasn't on the top or in the bottom of the cup. This is my first time here and it is twice the size of of a normal Starbucks. I really like the space and the ambiance in here,but definitely a younger staff that may or may not know how to make coffee. My guest and I both ordered tea, so there is minimal room for error with that. The baristas were nice and we had no trouble here. Also, Lamar's donuts is next door so that is a big plus. I would definitely be here all the time to do work mainly because you don't have to fight for a table. read more

Was here on Christmas day and the staff were super friendly - which is so appreciated on a day like this. I'm sure they'd rather not be working and be with their families (well, I'm not sure, but who wants to work when they don't have to in general) yet their attitude was not so - it was a pleasure to chat with them and spend time here. There's plenty of comfy-ish seating areas at this location and a lot of parking outside which is a pro. Only a few seats next to the fireplace and only two that are right next to it. I'd asked for a light ice drink and it came out with ice filled to the brim - but once they weren't insanely busy I asked if they'd mind remaking it and they were very understanding and helpful and remade the drink in an instant. This location isn't close to where I live so not sure if we will be back anytime soon, but if around I'll definitely stop by. They do seem quite busy - and if they're this busy on christmas day I can only imagine how busy they must be on a regular weekday or weekend! read more

Ordered online for drive thru for the first time. Pulled up to the window to get screamed at by the older woman working the window. Forgot my name right away and some other man showed up and asked for it again and disappeared for multiple minutes. No one was behind me in line so I just sat there listening to all the super rude older staff, talking about customers (including me) right next to window. Everyone working was complaining and trash talking customers. Felt bad for the one younger lady working there surrounded by 40-50 year olds complaining about everything. Absolutely love this Starbucks. First of all Saba the barista goes above and beyond. I had no idea what to order and she helped guide me to what I wanted. The drink she made was absolutely exquisite. I don't know what she did to it but this was better than the normal Starbucks. The vibe in this Starbucks is modern yet a perfect work environment. I did not expect it to be so big and roomy in here. This Starbucks has more issues than any Starbucks I have ever seen. Closed today and tomorrow inside (9/19-9/20/21) drive-through only. The last two years they have struggled to operate, I'm surprised their franchise hasn't been revoked by Starbucks. There lack of operational skills puts a bad name on a good coffee company. The drive-through lone had about 40 cars in it so don't waste your time and go to another location. read more

I don't think I've been to another Starbucks that feels quite so opulent as a sit down cafe. It was clear people were socializing, breakfasting and hanging out here. Well done to the sweet and professional staff. The layout feels like a proper, thoughtful cafe rather than a harsh to-go drive through. Excellent spot. Need to add shout out for their excellent quality WiFi. A nearby Starbucks (on Wildcat Reserve Parkway) couldn't figure out their locked WiFi, so I came here to work and the whole atmosphere here was professional and a pleasure to be in. Good coffee. Not great, but good. Like the atmosphere here and the baristas are always friendly and nice. Lines can be long in the AM, but that is every coffee shop in South Denver. Oh heavenly burnt popcorn.... If you love the taste of burned coffee beans and scorched milk, this is your place! The coffee here tastes burned and bitter, no matter what you order. We have orders brought to us from this location regularly from a local medical rep, and the coffee is always bad. We finally had to ask him to stop using this store because the coffees are simply not drinkable. Drinks without coffee are as expected, but of course, they don't have the burned coffee, so kinda hard to mess it up. If you're looking for a cup of Joe, keep driving. There's bound to be another Starbucks in a block or two. Unless you like burned popcorn. In that case, pull right up! read more

I have spent an absurd amount of time waiting in their drive thru just for them to mess things up and not remake them. On top of that I pay for things to be added to my drink which are not and the drink is not only missing ingredients but was not made right in the first place. Let me start by saying that I heart Starbucks. As my profile says, no matter how many local coffee houses I go to, the bucks is my fav. This location...ehhhh. I have been here a couple of times and haven't had good experiences. On my most recent visit, I was in a slight hurry, so I went through the drive-thru and ordered my usual, tall soy caramel macchiato. Luckily when I took my first drink, I hadn't left the parking lot because it was definitely made with milk. I parked, and went inside and explained to the barista that I had ordered soy and this was milk. She looked at the side of my cup and said (and I quote) "it says soy right here" and handed my drink back to me. I said (very sweetly, I promise!) that I saw the side of the cup as well, but that I always order soy and I know this to be milk. Guess what happens next? She takes the drink and goes over to the sink and pours a little out and says (again, I quote) "well, it's hard to tell if it's milk or soy". I order these about 4 times a week, I have the gold card charges to prove it. I know EXACTLY what their soy tastes like. So, trying again, I sweetly say, "I'm pretty sure it's milk and I have a lactose intolerance, so I need to have it with soy." She finally agrees to make me a new drink (which is all I ever wanted!!). The sad part was that I was in a hurry and it took about five minutes for me to get my newly improved with soy caramel macchiato because they made all the other drinks before they got to remaking mine. It was a surreal experience, because anytime I have ever had a problem with a drink at any other Starbucks, they have always readily offered to remake my drink, no questions asked. read more

I do believe this is part of a good baristas job. Any baristas job. And they never chat with me. Or smile at me. Space is too small for the business they get. I love Starbucks. But this one is better to leave alone. Every time I have come here, my order has been wrong. Being the HUGE Starbucks customer that I am, I've decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again...and yet again. I have never had my drink completed the way I ordered it. Coffee lovers: This is a Clover®/Starbucks Reserve store. That means you get Starbucks' "top-shelf" micro-lot coffee made just for you on an $11,000 mechanical french press machine (the Clover®!) for a better coffee experience. If you're a Starbucks hater, too bad for you. Their roast profiles for their Reserve roasts are still on the dark side, although if you like lighter blends, the Latin American roasts they serve are delicious. (Nutrition side note: just like when you make a french press, you get all the flavors/essence of the coffee, but you also get all the acids that a filter would usually catch.) Customer service: SUPER friendly. Only been inside the café. Despite that this is a drive-thru store, it doesn't have that rushed, hectic feel. I've been here when it's dead and right after the high-school day-end rush. More than enough room to hold a conversation, do work on your laptop, or lounge around. This is one of the better stores. Because they're high-volume, I've never waited much for my order to come out. The baristas here are A+ :D Nerds: The WiFi isn't Google's 30+ Mbps. Connection speeds top out at 2.5Mbps both ways. So if you wanted to come download a bunch of software updates here... nuh uh. There's also tons of food and shopping options around. read more

The staff is so polite and their greetings are on point. If you have an issue it must be the customers and popularity. This is one of my favorite Starbucks. Mostly for the location and convenience of the Lamar's Donuts right next door. I like to go here early in the morning and enjoy the sunrises with coffee. This location has the Starbucks Reserve coffees and the clover brewer to brew them. Most baristas are friendly at the register. I've noticed though if you order a reserve coffee off the clover, they tend to forget about you. This has happened several times to me. I've switched to Americanos for time and ease. They have a pretty good seating area inside and out. I enjoy sitting at the bar right next to the clover machine. They also have a bigger selection of coffees, mugs etc than other Starbucks. I think this location just needs to work on service a bit. A fine location to visit and relax, but get a Lamar's donut with your brew. read more
