It's Pumpkin season... Yup August 22nd marked the official start of Pumpkin Spice and all things nice for Fall and as I mentioned it to Nadine she suggested the NEX Mall location which I haven't given a thought as I thought that it wasn't accessible for me. Parking is a breeze here as long you don't park in the reserve stalls Starbucks is located on the ground floor which you'll immediately find when you walk in and how impressed I was with not just the size of the seating areas...yup areas as there were several and how clean and well kept it all was. Though there weren't any matching cups and accessories the taste of Fall has finally arrived and I couldn't be more excited as I ordered my Pumpkin Spice Latte with Coconut Milk with the provided jar from Nadine as she's always prepared and I just wasn't so that I'm able to get my bonus stars is so thoughtful and I embraced it with spice. The service is very nice and friendly and honestly with the seatings they have here this may be my new spot to get some much needed work done, love to discover and find new places and here is definitely a gem. This is the nicest Starbucks that I have seen on Oahu. Check out the debossed artwork on the wood walls. This place is immaculate, huge and comfy. They have comfortable seats on the inside as well as couches on the outside that extends into the atrium. There is a huge bamboo plant on both sides of the shop. I had my green Starbucks cup with me and got it filled with an iced green tea. I also spotted a pink tumbler that I haven't seen at other locations. It's shimmery with a light pink on one side and a dark pink on the other side. I don't really like pink, but his tumbler caught my eye, so I purchased it as well. I need another cup like I need a hole in my head, lol. The cashier that rang me up was friendly. She tried to make small talk and said that she liked my phone case. I liked how they had samples of the different sized cups by the registers, so people know what size they're getting. read more

Iced tea time in Honolulu, Hawaii... I received a notification from my Starbucks app - if I ordered an iced tea, I would get Bonus Stars! Yay! Wow... (I thought to myself...) I just passed a Starbucks as I walked in at the Navy Exchange (NEX). I wonder if they have Mobile Ordering... Yes! Located on the ground level of the NEX Mall, this particular Starbucks is on the left side of all of the kiosks at the entrance. There are some sofas outside - where people can take a break, regroup, and settle their families. The lobby area is spacious and has more "fresh air"... Even though the inside of the shop is clean and bright! By the time I reached the Starbucks, my order was ready! Ahhh... Iced tea is so refreshing and uplifting... Without calories! Haha! This is the new cold drink cups I'm guessing?? They have a paint like smell and makes your coffee taste the same. I am aware that this isn't the fault of the workers. But THIS IS ACTAULLY TERRIBLE. The fluid is making the paper cup soggy like the super cheap water cups. Not targeting the workers or the store itself as I'm unsure who orders these things. But please change it. Such slow service! I mobile ordered my drink which was ready in a timely manner. But I had to wait almost 20 mins for my food. There were 3 girls working--2 making drinks, 1 working reg & the food. The 2 girls making drinks should've helped with the food as well since there was a line of people ordering. I get food takes longer to make, but people who just ordered were getting their drinks before me and my food sat there with the microwave open. The worse location for tea coffee anything. I love the Pearl Harbor Mall but I recommend skipping this Starbucks: There are lots of great places to get tea nearby so I wanted plain ice water. Ordered a Trenta ice water but the worker apologized and said they could only give me a vente water because of the cup. No problem I offered to pay for the water, I didn't expect it to be free but she said she was only allowed to offer a vente which I accepted. I purchased a couple of other items, like a bottle water LOL, my ice water was ready for pick up in a tall (small) cup. When I told the worker I ordered a vente, she said she could only give me a tall. Seriously Starbucks, if this is your policy...charge the customer for the cup whatever your price is....because you aren't forcing me to buy a coffee, tea or other drink when I want plain ice water.... This Starbucks is conveniently located in the NEX mall. It's loud so not the best place to work or read but awesome if you need a place to hang out waiting for family and friends to shop. There are seatings inside and outside the Starbucks. They are often busy so expect a little longer wait but staff works hard and are friendly. Couple of hiccups You know a place is brand new when you have to tell Yelp Corp. Located on the bottom floor of the Navy Exchange aka old Navy Pride store, is the brand new addition to the "Mall". Sure you can grab coffee at McDonald's, or Black Sheep, or even I love County Cafe (I know you read those reviews) but here you get the full Starbucks experience. You get the traditional signature coffee, the pastries, and great customer experience. The store got slammed but the employees handled it professionally and even with a couple of repeat backs. They finally got my order right. It's new therefore it's nice. Brightly lit showing off all the new chrome machines, the brown naugahyde sofas, the comfy nice blue chairs. And wait for it.... tables ready for all those people's laptops and notebook taking. Overall 4.5 stars. The staff are friendly and my 2 pump white chocolate mocha triple shot no whip no form came out ok. They forget to make it extra hot. Starbucks NEX Pearl Harbor recently opened about 2+ years ago located in the mall right across the commissary. First impressions: * Clean and neat lobby * Comfortable cushioned seats * Artistic Navy inspired wooden carvings on the wall Visited a couple different times during the week, different experiences. Baristas are mostly friendly, though some may need work on their customer service, but I see that they try. They welcomed me in [like a normal Starbucks would], greeted me at the register, and while waiting for my order they sometimes would make small conversations [asking about how my day was, if I had any plans, etc.] Had a chance to talk with one of their regular customers. He says that most of the Baristas are fairly new and some came from their former Starbucks stores. * Drinks came out on a timely manner * Food needs work, takes a while when person on register can't manage food and order taking * Sometimes when there's a rush order will take a while to be ready depending on how many Baristas are working even if I order one simple drink. Things I found interesting: * They have a joke of the week by the hand off. Pretty corny but entertaining as I ponder on the answer to the joke while waiting * They also have drink specials that their store customized. Super excited about Starbucks at the NEX. I stopped by today and as you could imagine, it was crowded. I was not able to place a mobile order so I waited in line. It was about 20 minutes From waiting to place my order and waiting for the order. As always the baristas were friendly and thanked me for waiting. I appreciate the location of Starbucks, as you enter the NEX, it is on your left hand side. No ID needed and you dont have to go all the way upstairs to get to it. There is plenty of room to social distance. There is also ample seating inside starbucks and outside in the atrium. The decor is simple but nice. Love the incorporation of the US Navy/military. My favorite decor piece is the rope lighting. I love the arrangement of the furniture and cannot wait to utilize the space. Lastly, the food/latte I usually order were delicious. Tho the store was super busy, they didnt rush to make my drink. It was extactly how I wanted it. And i cant wait to go back. read more

Overall one of the nicest Starbucks I have ever visited. Makes you feel like your on or in the ocean. The theme ties in very nicely with the NEX. The restaurant is open to the public so even if you aren't military you can get your coffee and the NEX has clean restrooms. read more

This is pretty brand new location, very conveniently located inside the Navy Exchange fist floor. I have been to this location couple of times and all times, I used the app to order my drinks. There were times the line was too long and few times were empty. Either way, the app is your friend if you are always on the go. I have to agree to the fellow customers, the staff are not the most welcoming, most energetic, most courteous. Some SB locations, they will great you as soon you open the door; they might be scripted but better than no acknowledgment at all. The design inside is very unique, they got nice wall and ceiling decor. There are few single tables where you can enjoy a sip of your coffee while checking your phone or your laptop, and sofas for the family. There's also seating available outside the SB store, much like the lobby of NEX. If I ever have to choose an SB location to go enjoy my drink and work on my laptop, this location is my number 1 go to. Mahalo. read more

However they are a licensed store, licensed stores in my opinion don't ever give you that real starbucks experience. My family and I just left this store. We waited 15 minutes for a venti black iced tea. After 15 minutes of waiting I walked over to the counter. I watched one employee grab my husband's empty cup at the far left of the counter, she asked the other employee what happened with this order, and the response was, "oh I don't know." Upon discovering his empty cup they also discovered that there was no black tea brewed. The employee told me, "I'll go figure out what happened." After 5 minutes, she called me again and told me it would take another 10 minutes to brew the black tea. We left because at that point it's just ridiculous.
