Hudson Starbucks--one of the few reasons I have still have faith in the brand. In my experience there are two kinds of Starbucks--Starbucks like the Hudson one and others where you have to ask the question--"Did they mistake diesel fuel for the espresso?" The Hudson one stands apart from many, hell all, other Starbucks I've visited. I used to routinely drive 45 minutes from Menomonie just to have a Cinnamon Dulce Latte...ahhhh. The people here are friendly and DO NOT mess up your drink--which is a VERY important factor for me. The only thing that sucks is the drive-thru location, but for me piece of mind in not having to have that awkward "you messed up my drink...again" conversation makes a crappy drive-thru alright. read more

I recently used mobile ordering at Starbucks and waited a few minutes before arriving at the store. When I got to the speaker, the barista told me not to approach unless my order was ready and seemed to have an attitude, which I found inappropriate. Not sure if she was having a bad day. When I picked up my order at the window, she was still unfriendly, making me feel unwelcome. I wouldn't have minded waiting for my drink, but I didn't appreciate the disrespect. read more

Ordered ahead on the app, my hot chocolate wasn't even luke warm and tasted like plastic. I had a couple others try it to make sure it wasn't just me, they agreed. Today I thought I'll give it a try & I would remind them, so I asked them nicely "Please don't stir the foam into the coffee" and what did they do? I think there was a miscommunication with the cashier and myself because I ordered a venti and they gave me a grande, and when I corrected them they did correct my order however the girl who gave me the correct order back gave me the nastiest look and "corrected me" saying it wasn't what i ordered but she fixed it anyway, wow thanks. Their app needs some improvement. I ordered via the app and it told me there was a 15-17 minute wait. 11 minutes later I arrived to get my extra hot cappuccino... which was barely Luke warm. All the froth had disappeared. It had been sitting for 10 minutes. The coffee beans i ordered for home were out .... And I had to get the house blend - which I don't care for. I'm removing one star because I was given dairy milk instead of the non-dairy alternative I asked for. I double checked the sticker on my drink. It said "soy milk". The drink tasted a little off, but I attributed it to getting a different espresso or more vanilla syrup than usual. I got super sick from just a little bit of the drink. Instead of getting the pick-me-up I needed, it ended up wrecking my day. I was too sick to even go back and have my drink re-made. read more

Every time I go to this location it reminds me why I go to Caribou down the street instead.

I used to love this Starbucks. I'd typically go in the afternoon. Loved it. But since my work schedule moved to mornings, I am there right when they open at 530am. And there has not been one time they have made my order right. I ordered a peppermint white mocha. There was no peppermint. So I called and they offered for one on the house the next morning. I go once again at 530 am... and they ended up making a regular peppermint mocha. I haven't gone back since. Not worth my money if they can't even make my makeup drink right. read more

I was in the Hudson Starbucks on Sunday, Dec 29, about 8 AM. Four or five employees behind the counter, about six customers in the store who had already been served. No one else in line waiting to be served. No one acknowledged me at the cash register/order desk. After a bit of a wait I checked the time on phone. Five minutes later, no one had looked up from what they were doing to say they'd be with me soon, or provide any indication they knew I was even there. I walked out. There were three cars in the drive thru. I'm generally pretty patient, and if one person had said "We're swamped, but will be right with you," I would have waited. But the complete lack of customer acknowledgement or service is unacceptable. Caribou in Hudson did much better. read more

Despite some of its questionable business decisions, I enjoy going to Starbucks on occassion. This specific Hudson location however is probably one of the less desirable locations. I came here to meet a friend but there is very little seating, most of which is squished closely next to other people and quite uncomfortable. The staff would rather talk and laugh amongst each other rather than prioritize their customers. I have no issue with coworkers who want to talk or even be on their phones, but not if it means being ignored. I ordered their peppermint mocha coffee and after a wait was able to snag a tiny table. Unless I am desperate for Starbucks, I dont see myself coming back to this location and would recommend maybe going through the drive through. read more

Multiple times I have driven to this starbucks and they are closed for the day. It's so disappointing! They tape up a sign on the drive thru screen and this most recent time it happened, they were closed for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! How is that allowed? Very Frustrating. read more

This location has dissapointed me for the last time. I'm the only one standing in line with at least six people working and not one person bothers to greet or ask if I needed asistance. I understand the importance of maintaining and prepping for the upcoming afternoon rush, but everyone seems to be waiting for someone else to take my order. The piece that really bothered me was how extremely vocal this staff needs to be while I finally sit with my work and coffee expecting a slight degree of relaxation. Everything from the daily operations to how loudly they need to make their conversations heard while trying to promote the inviting atmosphere is self defeating. I've been a fan of Starbucks for decades... Since they open their first stores in the US. This Hudson shop is one I cannot recommend. Food quality at the drive-through is uneven, Ranging from port to really terrible. I keep remembering the quality of the Starbucks I have been to in other locations in years past, and keep returning hoping for that same quality again. Not only is the quality gone, but so is the courtesy. The manager told me that she didn't care if Food was undercooked or stale Since she had plenty of business regardless. Ok. It's Starbucks. Regular. NOT. Blonde guy behind the counter could not care LESS about anyone walking through the door. If he does, he does not show it. Gave me SERIOUS attitude about ordering a Red Eye, which, fine, they don't have on their menu, but nstead of being nice and saying, that actually is not on our menu anymore, what would you like 3 shots or 4? He tried to belittle me and then I watched him treat every Customer after me the same way. The questions he asked me and the others behind me, instead of - "what siez would you like with that?" He said - " and...is there a SIZE??" I went back for a refill, waited 7 minutes, he (nor no one else) seemed to notice that I was waiting, just kept cleaning f the smoothie machine, I decided to go and the nice manager asked me if I wanted a refill as I was headed out of the door and I said , no that was ok. She said, I saw that you were waiting and I said "I was waiting for a long time for anyone to notice that I was there, but thank you." In my experience, Hudson Starbucks 10123 is the best Starbucks out there. Yes they are quite slow once in awhile and occasionally have moody workers, however at the end of the day the staff is human and are oftentimes understaffed and overwhelmed by the number of customers each day. If you experience a situation here that you did not enjoy, you have the right to notify them and they will go out of their way to do their best in correcting the mistake. I have been coming here almost daily for roughly three years now and have made so many memories at this location due to the wonderful, amazing staff that they have here (simply the best). My family got together today for Mother's Day and for a bit of fun we bought 7 different drinks from Starbucks to do some taste-testing. Not only were all the drinks overpriced but they also all tasted watered down. They were horrible! As my nephew commented on one of them, "It tastes like they ran a peach under the faucet and served the water." Service was fairly quick even though they were very busy with many customers inside and at the drive-thru. Garbage bins outside and inside obviously had not been emptied and were overflowing. Toilet handle was broken and the blow dryer didn't work in the restroom I used even though they have recently been remodeled. read more
