If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered a small coffee for $4 and half of my drink was miss

I can't say I'm going to write an exciting review here about some standalone coffee shop filled with amazing handcrafted drinks and fantastic service with a glorious ambiance, but I will try to make this review of Starbucks halfway decent. I mean I would put this Islandia location towards the top of the list of Starbucks that I've frequented. It's definitely better than my old New Hyde Park location that I would frequent and I'd put it up there with the Medford spot that always seemed pretty "with it." They deserve some credit in Islandia just because they have a drive-thru (which the other two just mentioned don't have) and they never seem to be massively backed up on their drink orders. That's probably my biggest gripe with any Starbucks is the slowness/hectic nature of the way they make drinks. Sometimes it just feels like they've forgotten about my often-simple-to-create coffee (vanilla sweet cream cold brew is the usual order) as I watch other concoctions get mixed and names get called out. Though at this Starbucks? I've never waited more than a few minutes tops for my drink/drinks to be ready. Plus I'll say that the vibe in here feels friendly. The baristas usually seem to be playing some lively music and will occasionally stop to ask your name and what drinks you're waiting for. And most importantly, the coffee they blend together tastes consistent and the way it should. Nobody is perfect and of course there are some days that this 'Bucks isn't hitting the way it usually does, but those days have been few and far between. Overall, this Starbucks spot doles out the drinks you expect from any of these Seattle-originated storefronts. It works well as a quick on-off-on location for those heading west on the LIE and you have a good chance of acquiring your drink quickly and with some decent service (oh and quality). So whether this review was exciting or not, at least you know about this Starbucks.

Great cold brew

Love this Starbucks I come here everyday. Whenever I go to another one I'm disappointed!! This is how you make cold brew.

Finally this Starbucks made its way to Yelp! I've been here a couple of times and each time I've gone through drive through. Each time there may be one or two cars but the service is so efficient and quick that I forget I'm on line. This Starbucks although still pretty new is pretty awesome! The service is great and my bevy is always good. Whether it's a Hot Non fat Latte or an ice cold Green Tea Lemonade it's good. Islandia Starbucks welcome to the community! This Starbucks is also super hella convenient too. Easy in and easy out and back on to the LIE in a jiffy.

Here's the Scoop: The new Starbucks is across from BJs. The same spot Hooters use to be. The area is perfect because right next to the 495 entrance. Great for those needing a coffee to get through their long drive to work. The entrance is arranged using the small dining area excellently. They have a friendly warm inviting staff willing to help with any mixology you can come up with. Colors are relaxing and give you a whooza feeling. I got a signature drink and it was prepared to my specifications. I'm not a regular coffee drinker but I enjoyed a cold coffee drink. I understand why folk are so hooked on this coffee it's strong as heck even after you've put in you're this & that. So my fellow Yelpers who are Starbucks fans you got a new spot

Prickly Pear Creme

The line at the drive through moved so quickly and the service was great.I had a prickly pear creme and omg it is now my fave next to a flat white! There is ample parking (used to be HOOTERS) and outside seating.

Back up if they're closed

I've been to the Toast Coffee House locations in Port Jefferson and Patchogue, and the new…read moreRonkonkoma location was just as good. We visited on Mother's Day, so there was a wait, and it seemed like they were a little understaffed since there were empty tables where we were eventually seated. The food was excellent. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with home fries, and the home fries were honestly the highlight of the meal. I could have eaten a whole plate of them. The prices are a bit high, so it's more of a special occasion spot for me, but the quality makes it worth it. I also loved the interior, which has a nice mix of modern and farmhouse style. My only complaint was that the music was way too loud. I could barely hear my wife sitting right next to me. Other than that, we had a great experience

First we were seated at a table that was sticky and gross! I had to ask for extra napkins because…read moreit was so sticky my hands were sticking to the table. The Waiter agreed and recleaned the table. Orders were placed. Took 40 mins for our food to come out. The other people in my party made modifications to their order and I ordered exactly as it was listed on the menu . After waiting for 40 minutes for the food, my order the unmodified one was completely wrong. We tried to tell the food runner, he ignored me and put the plate down. He walked away. We waved him back over and told him again this was not the order. He took it back and then went to speak to our waiter. He came over and said what happened? We explained this was not what I ordered. He then went and looked at something and then came back and said I will have them remake this. This whole process took long enough that my friends were already eating. 10 minutes later the food was still not out. I called the waiter back over and told him to just cancel it. He said the manager was coming and she came over a few minutes later with the food. I told her I didn't want the food I was too annoyed at that point to eat. She said take it home. What I had cannot be reheated. She said well I'll leave it here because I'm throwing it out either way. Crepes with fruit on top just don't reheat well! At the point that the manager finally came by to bring the food my friends were 90% done with their meals! Everytime I looked at this manager she was on her cell phone, talking, texting or staring at it. I went to the bathroom and came out of the stall and the manager was doing talk to text in the bathroom. Perhaps if she stayed off her phone orders wouldn't be getting screwed up or patrons would not be sat at dirty sticky tables! Her whole attitude and demeanor ruined our whole experience there. She truly didn't seem to care. My friends picked at my dish but I was too annoyed to eat. I have eaten at Toast in Patchogue and Bayshore and enjoyed both experiences on every occasion that I have been there. I have eaten at this Toast three different times and every time I have left disappointed by the service but this is by far the worst! For all that aggravation she took my meal off and that was it. So thank you for ruining our nice girls lunch!

Jeanne waited on us. She was extremely friendly outgoing and kind. She answered any of our questions about the menu and made some drink suggestions. Our food was served very quickly and the portions are huge. My son had a hungry man burrito and I had the Mac and cheese short ribs. I took home my Mac and cheese short rib and I am on my 3rd attempt at finishing it! My son's burrito was so large I wasn't sure how he was going to get that in his mouth. He was able to eat most of it. The home fries were nicely prepared and seasoned well! Our drink glasses were never empty. I watched the staff and they were constantly engaging with customers. You felt like you were visiting a friend's home. I watched them celebrate someone's birthday, greet regular customers and every customer was given a warm acknowledgment. This place deserves all the hype it receives and I'm sad it has taken me so long to try it!

I was planning on leaving then. I was a waiter once for many years, so I get it.. the tough, long hours. Some waiters have 2nd jobs.. The glares and side talk I received was so unnecessary. Again, I priorly asked the hostess and waiter if it was okay I sit for 20 min. Before they close. I feel like I want to puke now. Idc about professional service, or whatever it's called. I communicated that I would've found another place if they just told me that they're not taking sitters. Not nice. Never returning again.

I was in the area and wanted someone fresh and healthy for lunch and this is where I found myself…read more I never saw a "banana base" for a bowl before, which highly intrigued me. I ordered the Olas bowl which was Banana blend topped with blueberry flax granola, banana, blueberry, coconut flakes, chia seeds, and almond butter. It was heavenly! It was so delicious and had the perfect balance of everything. Customer service was decent. I was greeted right away and the girl behind the counter was friendly. Tip- if you're using Apple Maps, it will say "you arrived" as soon as you pull into Station Yards. Just be aware that it's located on the LEFT, and not on the right as the GPS states. Yumm!

Why hasn't this Ronkonkoma Playa Bowls place gotten any reviews yet? Well hey, I'm happy to start…read morethings off and throw them the five stars they deserve. I mean I've already been here at this aesthetically beachy location at least five times and at this point it's easy to see they are legit in their bowl making abilities (and then some!). Now what is a playa bowl? Well maybe you're more familiar with SoBol açaí bowls, a company that originated on Long Island and has a location all over the place at this point. I do love me some SoBol, but oh does Playa (a New Jersey originator) take the idea of açaí and blows it up! This is really seen across their massive menu with not just açaí and pitaya bowls available, but also mango, green, oatmeal, coconut, and banana bowl bases as options. Woah. My wife has already become a true fan of the mango bowls while for myself, I've also enjoyed those, but I truly love the banana bowl bases. Yum. Playa Bowls is more than just a bowl spot though as they also boast a nice list of smoothies that are just as legit. Case in point: the orange power smoothie (orange, vanilla protein, pineapple, coconut milk) is your summer time necessity. Fruity, creamy, and delicious. What's also pretty darn tasty is their Playa cold brew. Boasting chicory coffee concentrate (something you often only find in New Orleans), Playa Bowls brews up a formidable (and icy) cup of joe. Just as important to all of this is the friendly staff and reward system/app that is used here. Though a mostly younger group of employees, they seem to dole out your order at a reasonable speed and I've yet to have any issues when ordering through that aforementioned app. The app compiles rewards and also gives you special offers which just adds to the greatness of Playa. Overall, I'm sorry to say that as good as SoBol is, Playa is just a better. It's tough to beat so many bowl bases that are equally delicious and when you throw in the smoothies, coffee, and plenty of rewards via the app, I just need to get down on the ground and start bowing to the bowls. Playa bowls, that is. Now hopefully this one five star review will get the juices flowing for others to come and experience the tastiness found here in this Ronkonkoma spot.
