I ordered their Iced Coffee x light milk and egg salad croissant sandwich. The cold drink was very refreshing and perfectly made to my liking. As for the food, it was decent enough to get my energy up. Cafe's interior was modest with few tables and very spacious. Staff were attentive and industrious. Prices were fairly inexpensive. Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed my drink.

The staff member noticed almost immediately and asked if I needed any help. Tucked away in a food court which could only be accessed through an alley on Jamaica Ave or a side street (160th St), this cafe was not easy to find. Although the food court it is located in is no-frills, The Avenue Cafe actually put effort in establishing an inviting aesthetic that made me feel no different than if I were walking in my usual cafes in the city and I really liked that. The staff were courteous and they make your order quick! Best of all, they take card and Apple Pay (I didn't have cash on me that day and I was aware that just about every stall in that food court is Cash-Only). It's basically an entire missing ceiling tile. Like, there may be some kind of repair project or remodel going on? For another thing, it's rather dark for a coffee shop. It's dimly lit with very little natural light. And the walls seem green screen ready. Jarringly sparse but would make a great Teams background. All that said, the coffee is decent. I ordered off menu. A flat white, no sugar, no syrup. And it was solid. Which, in sum, leaves me at three stars. Two or below if you're drinking in, but maybe four if you're grabbing to go.
