    This is my cold brew!!

I just saw this place hidden right off of 8252 Langdale. & Hillside in New Hyde Park NY 11004 They have great ambience and service but they have a unique way of showing you their coffee.

A cute little café on hillside avenue in New Hyde Park. It's the perfect midpoint to stop by when I'm heading back to Queens from Long Island or vice versa. The place is quite small but you can find parking outside or nearby. There's two tables inside and two tables outside. Upon walking in, I was happily greeted by the barista who gave a few recommendations. They have a variety of baked goods and cakes on display and a drink menu on the wall. I ordered a medium white chocolate mocha latté and an almond croissant (as recommended by the barista). She toasted the almond croissant without asking me, which is nice for taking initiative! What surprised me was how long it took and if the reheating caused the croissant to taste burnt and hard. As for the latté, its comes in two sizes - small or medium and there's an extra charge for other types of milk than regular whole milk which is the same at other cafés. The latté comes with a heart on top which always makes my day better and it's strong tasting without being overly bitter. Cute place! Would love to come back to try the Ice-Cream and other desserts!

I really wanted to give, 5 stars because the cold brew was delicious. However, the customer service was not up to par. TBH, I walked in for the first time, first response was, "are you here to pick up" I replied, no this is my first time here. The lady apologized right away, no problem. I asked for a sample of cold brew, sample was given, tasted really good. So I ordered the coconut cream cold brew. I saw signs for no smoking or any kind, including vapes and weed. So, jokingly I said no smoking weed in here huh? Replied, NO! Ok I was just joking. I asked, hey how long you been open for? Response, "I don't know". Oh ok, you don't know how long you been here for, copy! Like I said, customer service not the best. Seemed almost rude. That's unfortunate because I dig the Cold brew. Inside is clean, well kept small sitting area as well as outside seating. Not the best experience for a small shop, most likely won't be back here! Good luck! Maybe work on your customer service!

The store is very small but cute! The person behind the counter was very helpful when I told her it was my first time there & I asked what cold caffeinated drinks they served. I got a vanilla iced latte which was delicious! The only thing is that it's hard to get a parking spot nearby & there is only one two seated table inside & one two seated table outside so it's more of a grab & go kind of place.

Hidden Gem on the borderline of Queens and Nassau County right on Hillside and Langdale. Definitely check it out if you in the area, recommend their Iced Butterscotch Latte and Cold Brew !

Omg the best coffee shop ever. I love their containers that are a hard plastic with a metal top that you open like a soda. The iced coffee and tea goes great in them. Great concept! I have ordered from here and their coffee with coconut milk is phenomenal. Their pastries are on point and it does really feel like you are in Paris while having a pastry or coffee. I ordered from here a few times off Uber but this morning my husband will be picking up my order since Uber is pricey. Do give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed!

Out of all the flavors I've tried here so far, nothing beats the rose milk tea. I also like the Thai milk tea but it doesn't beat the rose. The main problem I have with their milk teas is that every time I ask for less syrup (25,50%), I get no syrup. It's either full syrup or no syrup, which means too sweet or no sweetener. With the exception of the brown sugar milk tea, which had a clump of sugar syrup on the bottom, the rest of the times I asked for less syrup, I got none. I didn't realize the sugar syrup was clumped together at the bottom of the cup for the brown sugar milk tea. The 1st sip was extremely sweet since all the syrup came up. The rest of the drink was devoid of sweetener. I've tried the following milk teas recently: black sesame, jasmine, & brown sugar. I didn't like any of these because of the lack of sweetener. Anyway, learned my lesson not to ask for less sweet drinks here. I also noticed something weird when I went a few months ago. The employee had her phone stuck out from under the employee side pointed towards us. Seemed like she was recording. Weird. Anyway, the OD ( Thai tea) toast was sadly a bit too burnt for me that day. When I went again this week, the OD toast was on point. I always get Thai tea filling cream since I've learned from the 1st time that I got the mixed, the pandan has no flavor whatsoever.

We got the ginger milk pudding. Do think it's a bit pricey ($10) since it's an easy dessert to make but I guess it's all the theatrics. They pour the dessert in front of you and put a sand glass on top. Once sand glass is done, so is the dessert and you can even rest a spoon on top. The dessert is very smooth, barely a solid, and its ginger taste is very strong- which I like. Strong ginger but pairs well with the milk and good amount of sugar. It is a bit spicy but I like it this way. They do have a lot of other desserts as well as savory items on the menu. Intrigued by their savory menu and will definitely come back to try them next time.

The inside is absolutely beautiful and while they have tables, they also have more traditional floor seating. We got a couple bites of food to eat, some of their tea, and some cocktails. Their food was very mediocre, at best. While the persimmon cake SEEMED to be made in house, it was very clear that everything off their food menu required minimal preparation (ie. for the dumplings, it was just har cow). I also thought their cocktails were okay, and out of the three we got, none stood out to me. I did enjoy their tea, however. But, it was also fairly expensive for what it was (~$50). Overall, I thought this spot was okay for the price and I'm not sure I would return.

We came with a fairly large group and ordered several teas and snacks to share amongst us. There were several options for the flavors of tea and each one had different benefits as well. I loved all of them, particularly the fruitier ones. As for snacks, we had this fried taro snack that had a crispy biscuit outer layer that was delicious. It was a bit of a sweet & savory mix, but not strong in either sweet or salty flavors. There was also this persimmon snack that was filled with nuts and other things. It was slightly sweet, very unique, and both paired well as a tea time snack. They're also open until 11:30pm! So if you want to skip the bar, I'd recommend checking out this tea spot for a nice hang out.
