The food is typical Starbucks food. The vibe is bad! I got a yogurt and was looked at like I was crazy when I asked for a spoon for it, weird. The girl who took my order barely said anything so therefore I had no idea what to do and was just standing there. Once she took my order she had me scan my own yogurt, again weird. She was super rude and abrupt. It has been incredibly rare that I have had this experience at a Starbucks and it's disappointing. The service at this Starbucks location in Jessup, MD in the mornings is amazing. The service at this same Starbucks on a Wednesday evening, not so amazing. I actually can make my own coffee but Starbucks offers a combination of good coffee, ambiance, background music and great service. If any of your employees think that customers come to the store just for the coffee then you have the wrong staffers. Maybe they were just having a bad day. I went there this morning an hour before work to pick up my morning coffee and the line was to the door and they only had one worker on the floor. I noticed that there was another worker sitting out in the lobby but he was just eating while there were so many customers in line waiting on drinks and food because there was only one poor girl working behind the counter. Everyone kept getting their food 10-15 minutes late. Seeing the lack of teamwork and care that was shown today was disappointing and disheartening. I feel for the girl who was working alone, this experience was 0/10 and I got my food and coffee super late which made me 20 minutes late for work despite planning ahead. I had a charge on my card for service at 9:35pm on a Saturday, from this Starbucks, which is 30 minutes after they close on Saturday. Also, I did not go to any Starbucks on Saturday. It appears that someone at this Starbucks may be doing bad stuff. My bank investigated and had the fraudulent charge credited back to my account. This is the only Starbucks where this has happened to me in the past 20 years of using Starbucks. Be careful here or just use cash. read more

Okay as Starbucks go. They moved the line with swiftness. For my coffee - a double espresso - I wanted it in a ceramic cup. It took them a bit to find it and I had to remind them to steam it clean. With my coffee, I stuck around for a while using up their wifi and people watching. They really need a drive through here. read more

Eww! This place is always dirty. The floor always looks likes it needs to be mopped and the trash can counter looks like it needs to be wiped down and cleaned. We just moved here and I've been to this location 4X now, it's the closest to my home, but I think I'll just go down a little further to the Columbia Target Starbucks or Wei's Starbucks instead, there employees seem nicer as well. I always feel disappointed when I leave, I order online on the app, and my order is never ready at the time the app says it will be ready. The drinks are as expected but one time I asked for only 1 pump of caramel in my grande caramel ribbon frap but it seemed like it was more the regular amount the caramel was thick on the bottom and in the sides. read more

I will say that I have never been to a Starbucks at mid day, or any time of day actually, and been the ONLY customer in there. The staff were friendly, if a bit quiet, which surprised me since baristas are usually a bit more social, like a coffee bartender. I had a long day and was ready to start my weekend but wanted to wait for traffic to die down before I got on the road. This Starbucks is in a great location not far from a lot of the main roads like 175, Route 1, 32 and even the 95. I can pick up groceries in this shopping, get some wine and also get my soy latte fix. The staff here is nice and personable. They got through the short line quickly and watched my drink and stuff while I took a bathroom break. The seating area isn't big at all but if you can score one of the comfy seats, part of the couch or even the bar area, it's a comfortable time. But on this particular day, maybe it's because I needed a quiet relaxing spot that the music seemed one notch too loud. The guy next to me kept letting his phone buzz every time he clicked on whatever game or app he was using (not Starbucks' fault but maybe people reading this will get the hint and be more considerate of those around them) and the oven or coffee timer was going off for at least one minute, I kid you not, and they kept letting it buzz. I don't know how they put up with it. Goodness. Probably the least friendliest starbucks I've been to. Workers here look dirty and irritated. The location itself is dirty. The heavy set one was complaining out loud about her job. The girl in the plaid shirt looked like a walking zombie and didnt acknowledge me before turning her back on me and ignoring me to go make drinks... when they had 4 workers back there and no one on register for over 5 mins... these 4 have zero customer service skills. Little Asian girl says zero words and shows no expression after I say thank you. The last girl looked like she rolled out of bed. I received a promotion from starbucks stating if I get a pineapple drink I can get some extra stars... they didn't even have it in stock. At least my 2nd option tasted fine. I love starbucks! That being said, this particular one is my Go-To starbucks because its right next to my gym and i can get my caffeine after workouts! Its small place with limited seating but the place is always well kept and staff is very friendly. So far, I always had my drink made to perfection. Service here is excellent as I've always felt welcomed by staff, and many of them are cheery personalities. I don't usually work or study here so I can't say how easy it would be to do that here. This is one of my fave Starbucks locations. I don't know what it is, but the people who work here are some of the most friendly I've ever encountered (I always leave with a smile on my face). This location is a bit out of the way for Columbians, and it's a bit tricky to get to, and away from... but it's worth it if you're in the area. Right at the intersection of Route 175 and Route 1, in the same complex as the Goodwill Store. Due to its location, it's much less busy than the Dobbin one, and I've always had great tea and coffee there. I've been to many Starbucks around Maryland, this one is a bit on the slow / disorganized side. Seating is a bit old, tables are dirty, as is the floor. In the few hours I've been sitting here, multiple drink orders were delayed or messed up. They did provide me a $4 off card for the 15 minutes it took to make my drink. So if you're expecting fast and precise drink ordering, you might try a different Starbucks. The employees are nice enough, seems like they might be understaffed though. read more
