I went here because it was listed in my cafe passport and I had seen it on instagram. I was highly disappointed. The place was super cute. Plenty of comfy seating, friendly workers, and lots of options. I ordered donuts for my kids and they were refrigerated. The lady warmed it up so it was melted glaze and cold middle. The eggs seemed like they were microwaved. The daybreak skillet had slingshot bacon. Stretchier than my elastic. The saving grace was that the latte was decent. This is such a cute coffee shop. There's a decent amount of seating, but most people seemed to order their food to go. I ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches, which was egg, cheese, and turkey sausage on a French toast bagel. I also ordered their chai latte with oat milk. There's a nice section of the coffeehouse that is set up like a living room, so it's really cozy. I was surprised with the location when I came across this coffee shop! It was nice that it was located next to a restaurant and brewery. I wanted to try the food but opted for the coffee this time. Wanted a sweet treat, so I got the affogato which didn't disappoint me. My friend got the Americano and loved how nice the espresso flavors came through. They got our orders done promptly. We tried this coffee house this morning for a quick cappuccino and some breakfast. The good: the staff are kind, there is ample seating, coffee served in ceramic mugs and the breakfast sandwiches on bagels are tasty. The not so great: the cappuccinos are essentially lattes. Decided to branch out and try a new place! This was on the list :) My husband and I ordered two coffees, two sandwiches, and a chocolate croissant. The sandwiches were delicious! We couldn't even finish them! The iced honey lavender latte was divine :) Not gonna lie, the croissant was just okay. It had the texture of a cinnamon roll on its side, and I think I that's what it was, just with a very light coating of chocolate. Kind of disappointed. They waited until I arrived to make the drinks, since "they were hot drinks so I didn't want to make them until you were here." I appreciate the sentiment of keeping my drinks hot but the point of ordering ahead was so I could grab them and stay on schedule. But ok, no biggie. Then my matcha tastes like steamed milk with some sweetener. It is a light brown color. I can maybe convince myself there is the slightest hint of green. Barista insists this is their matcha, as they use "a syrup and not a powder" so it isn't very green. But I assure you, they are charging prices consistent with using actual matcha powder. Since the building I work in does not have a cafeteria, and I don't typically have time to make my own breakfast, The Coffeehouse in AJ has been my Go-To breakfast spot on In Office days! Especially because online ordering via Toast is super fast, easy, & convenient. I've tried multiple food items, the Daybreak Skillet, sandwiches, oatmeal, soups, (My fav, Roasted Red Pepper & Smoked Gouda YUM!), and more! Can't go wrong with any of those items I just named. The menu has a vast selection of items and is surprisingly not overpriced for a Coffeehouse. The location is quaint, with cozy seating options. All encounters with the staff have been pleasant. Free street parking is available but has a time limit. I don't drink coffee often but most of the specialty drinks I've tasted from here, Gourmet Hot Chocolate and a Chai Latte, were yummy. Ok guys, I found my new favorite local coffee shop. Fall is mine & my Wife's favorite season for all the obvious reasons - we're hikers, fall is beautiful, it's less hot out. But also because we love all the traditional family time stuff - Pumpkin patch, Christmas lights, etc. This year we found a new fall/winter hobby that I think will stick around forever - local coffee shops. No not the trendy, mass production, coffee shop on every corner. Actual places, owned by locals with locally sourced products. We've found several places that we like but none like Coffeehouse. From the warm, inviting decorum, to the wide selection of drinks, to their specialty drinks that you can only get here ... this place is special. Very cute solid shop! I am not overly impressed with the customer service or lack there of. I am also not the biggest fan of the coffee as I have tried the Americano and the latte both seem to be a tad lackluster. However, this place definitely has a large assortment of what looks to be tasty pastries. One of my favorite sandwiches that I've had twice from here is the asiago egg white with turkey. This sandwich alone gives the place for stars. However, I have to think I'm a star for two times now lack luster customer service. I don't want to say I'm gonna give up on this place totally as it is super cute. However, I would just recommend they get it together with the customer service. read more

This spot is perfect for breakfast or lunch. They have very cute chairs and small tables if you'd like to eat inside the shop. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Super cute spot! I only came here to grab a coffee for my guy and chai latte for me so not food this time. The girl who made my drink had a great personality and was helpful. You order your drink at the kiosk at the front counter. Very efficient. My guy said he really liked the regular coffee a lot. My chai with oat milk was a bit sweet but it definitely hit the spot. I visited this coffee house twice before but this time I was looking for a good breakfast followed by some work time. Upon entering the staff was friendly and greeted me. The atmosphere is your typical coffee house vibe with a little modern rustic kind of look to it. There is a space with a couch and an electric fireplace which is nice. I ordered off of the ordering touch screens they have which was pretty intuitive. I ordered a coffee, a veggie omelette and a cinnamon scone. (I said I was going to work from there so two breakfasts are okay right? lol) I got the drip coffee which is help yourself. It isn't as intuitive on how to prepare because the coffee is in one section and the items to add to your coffee are around the corner out of sight. The coffee was pretty good though. The omelette was good, fluffy and the veggies were fresh. It was big though so I couldn't finish it. A great value. The scone was, well, not really a scone. Like many places it was a muffin. It was decent for a muffin but I love a good, buttery, crumbly scone. This wasn't that so I would stick to the eggs or go for their donuts which are good! The two women behind the counter were a joy to be around while I worked and really enjoyed life, they made it an even better experience! Check this place out for sure!! read more

This place is relatively new. It is connected to a Pepperjacks sub shop and a brewery. It has a good selection of coffees, baked goods, and light food. If you want something heavier walk a few steps to Pepperjacks. I ordered a latte with double shot and an apple danish. Both were good. There was no crowd as the picture shows. I will have to come later in the day the next time to see if they get crowded. Also will have to check out the vibe at the brewery but that will come with another review. read more

I found this place randomly while out doing to some running around for work, thinking it would just be a place I stopped in once to grab a latte and get some work done. Now I find myself making sure im in the area so I can stop in! Its cozy in the back so if you're not working and just want to enjoy your coffee its perfect for that too. So far I have been impressed with the food options. Ive had a breakfast sandwich as well as a grilled cheese and the salad it comes with was a delightful surprise. Coffee wise they make a pretty solid latte but i'll have to come back to try a black coffee before I can really give an opinion on that. I had the western omelette and the clipper latte, girlfriend had the avocado toast BLT with an egg on top and a cold latte (I forget which one). All food was just perfectly made and absolutely delicious! The coffee drinks were on the sweet side but that seems to be the trend lately and honestly I was not upset by it. Everything was very reasonably priced and came out quickly, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The inside felt relaxing with lots of seating and even a couch. This coffeehouse feels really out of place in the middle of this corporate office park area, like it should be in a downtown of a decent city instead. Finally gave Coffeehouse a visit and I don't regret it! I got a salted caramel iced coffee with an add shot and it was really good the menu looked delicious too! I love this place and it has great service! However, I would recommend anyone going here to avoid the matcha latte. It is just milk with a matcha syrup. When I first got my order, I thought they had forgotten to put the matcha! The barista attempted to correct the order, but without actual matcha powder, it was just more sugary milk. So disappointed in the Coffeehouse, formerly a frequent stop and a coffeehouse that I have recommended. Thank goodness I decided to share my chocolate croissant because when we cut it in half it was FULL OF MOLD. I tried to call to let the staff know at 10150 Junction Drive, but nobody answers the listed online Phone (301) 960-3333. I did love the avocado toast, baked goods and Pepperjack sandwiches, boardwalk fries and milkshake options. However, after calling the number listed I wonder how connected these storefronts are and I find it hard to trust that I may be receiving safe foods. :-( read more

This place would normally get 5 stars but the degrading customer service is the reason why I've come down in stars. My wife and I are frequent visitors and often come by when we both are working remotely. The quality of food from this place seems to be high, definitely not fast food. I fancy myself a home cook so I understand good food takes time. This is where poor customer service comes in. I quickly received my clipper latte and my wife's salted caramel latte. The service is usually slow, but it doesn't help that my order was put in the wrong Franklin's bag and left to sit on the counter for God knows how long. Franklin D. had a mobile order and my food was placed inside of his bag. So I'm halfway through my latte when I see people come and go with their food. I approach the counter to ask for Franklin C's order. The 2 young ladies working the counter searched for my bag and finally discovered the mistake that was made. A simple "sorry" was all that was offered. I arrived at 729 and didn't leave until 800. Today was my wife's birthday so she requested this place. To whomever is reading this, you should know that people have busy lives, so we come to your establishment for the convenience and quality of the product. The last facet on delivering a good customer experience is great customer service. That part is lacking at The Coffeehouse unfortunately. And to add insult to injury, I paid $1.00 extra for egg whites and still received the whole egg on my wife's sandwich. I'm 50/50 on returning. read more

I work in the area and frequently stop in the morning. 80 percent of the time it's a pleasant experience. The fact that one ordering kiosk is down and the woman at the other one ON THE PHONE sorting out 50 people's orders was a bit much. Say something to her. Thanks, won't be back. Really wanted to like this place. We stopped by while driving from DC to upstate NY. Appears to be a coffee shop / breakfast spot in the AM, and subs during the day. Nice selection of the more common pastries (scones, muffins, croissants). Includes some heartier breakfast options such as sandwiches and waffles. Decent proportions as well. Servers were pleasant. The big issue was when we were getting ready to leave. I went to ask for a to go box, and scone for the road. Both servers were pulling trash from the bins, and pulling them to the back. Then one stopped to take my order. After ordering she got my to go box, and scone. All without washing hands. Kinda gross. Then we both went to the restroom and neither the men's room or women's room had paper towels. So gross #2. At the end of the day, the place was very carelessly maintained by the general staff and lacking in cleaning habits. read more

One of the best espresso shops out there! The beans are lightly roasted and milk drinks aren't overly sweet. If you thought every shop was like Starbucks then I challenge you to try this place. Customer service was horrible. The employee refused to bring my food to my table. I'm on crutches and was unable to carry my order to the outside sitting area provided by the restaurant. A fellow customer helped me while the employee offered no assistance while being quite rude. So much for customer service!
