Refreshing beverage in Kent, Washington... I had some time before my flight home, so I checked my Yelp app for the nearest Starbucks. This was a great one! The free parking lot was a joy to see! Inside, the store is very spacious and bright! The workers greeted each customer as they entered! I looked at the merchandise and was tempted... but my luggage is full. Maybe I should get another tote bag? Hmmm... I have enough Stars for $20 worth of merchandise! How about the clearance bin... ooh... cute cups, but no space in the suitcase... LOL! Such a struggle! Anyway, I'm here to start another challenge. I brought my Personal Cup and got my discount and Bonus Stars! Yay! My cup was filled to the top even though I just asked for the "Tall" size! Not in my town, and I stopped for breakfast at the closest Starbucks I could find. The girl at the register was so upbeat and exceedingly helpful and friendly - I really wish I caught her name. She was tall, probably in her twenties, tight curls piled sooo her head with a pink head wrap, and smiley. Coffee and sandwich came out quickly and nice and hot. Store was spotless. I needed to find a place to park myself and wait around a bit for a lunchtime date. What better place than one with coffee, coffee, and more coffee plus some great lil snackas. While all Starbucks have similar choices of caffeine fix and food options, not all offer equivalent customer service and super comfy lounge areas like this location. The barista taking my order was talkative and friendly and chatting with her was a great way to start my day. My day continued to get better as my toasty warm sugar infused beverage with a touch of coffee materialized on the counter in almost no time. And well, if one has nothing to do but sit around and wait to eat lunch, one might as well get warmed up on their cheese and fruit packs. These packs are gf for those of you in the glutenisgross club like me. I just left the little packet of crackers that came in it on the table as a surprise treat for the next customer, who doesn't like free surprise snacks? My drink was well prepared and gave me the appropriate sugar rush I've come to depend on. O V E R A L L This SB has plenty of tables and chairs. They have some against the wall and some for casual lounging. I like this SB because of the variety of seats and wall chargers. This is a good place to study and chill since it's a bigger location. All starbucks are not created equal, at least not when it comes to staff and management, this one has great staff, one of the few starbucks I can get my drinks exactly as I ordered. The added convenience of drive-thru and fast free wifi makes this sbux an excellent choice. And Now use your IPhone or android Sbux app to order and pay for your drinks, they will be waiting for you by the time you arrive. (aprox. time shown at time of order) On business days traffic backs up at peak hours on 180th going eastbound, might be hard to get out of parking lot, same if you try to turn into if you are going west bound, there are only couple of dozen parking spaces, though there are more spaces in the back near Staples. read more

From reading the other reviews this Starbucks seems like it is either hit or mess so I had to add my two cents. My experience here was excellent. It has to be one of the larger Starbucks I've ever been in so there's plenty of room for everybody with no crowding. It is a great place to work study and catch up on email. The place is very clean very orderly. The employees worked as a team and the service was excellent and so was the attitude. I certainly will book mark it to come back here. read more

I just tried going through this Starbucks drive thru at 6:50 pm, which is an hour and half before they close, and no one was there! I bypassed the drive their window since no one took my order and saw the inside looked completely empty. The cars I saw enter before I did left immediately because of the lack of service. This is my favorite Starbucks location in the area. The staff is always courteous; the atmosphere is great for studying, talking, or just relaxing; and the store seems to be run very smoothly. This Starbucks is awesome! Came here two times and both times using the drive-thru. The service is always superb and friendly. They really know how to take care of their customers. We came by trying to get the BOGO free deal for the holiday season drinks. We were not sure which drinks were on the holiday list so we asked the barista. She listed a bunch, including Pumpkin Spice latte, which is one of my favorite during the fall season. However, after punching in the order, the barista noticed that the Pumpkin Spice was actually not on the BOGO list, but she said she would take care of us anyway because she already told us the information. Probably one of my favorite Starbucks' just because it's spacious and it has different seating options. There's plenty of space for studying (in a group or alone) or of you want to just sit and read. The Baristas here are Grrrrrreat! They are chipper, friendly, warm and they get to know their regular customers orders very quickly; which always makes you feel special even though secretly you know you're not the only one I use the Drive-Thru at this location mostly and I've never sat in a line thats not moving consistently; they are friendly and will chit chat but not enough to hold up the line :) Everyone is dressed nicely, inside of location is clean. It's very true that one review for a Starbucks is pretty much a review for them all... But, this being my first time at this new store, I thought a review was in order. I frequented the one that used to be down in the business complex, as my boyfriend works in this area and I usually stop by to visit him. Seeing that this one was open, I decided that it would have to work! I'll start with the positives: the decor and the first barista that I came into interaction with. Mike, who was ringing, was incredibly nice. So personable and so fun and just so adorable. I only talked to him for like 2 minutes and he made the beginning of my first time here so great! The decor is really modern and updated (as to be expected, seeing how it's new) and I loved all the wooden panels throughout the store. There's one wall that's covered in the "full roasting spectrum" of coffee beans which I thought was a really cool, rustic touch. On top of all of that, this location has LOTS of seating which is awesome because it's usually such a hassle to find a nice spot when going to a Starbucks to do homework or catch up with somebody. Now..... The negatives. Let me start off by saying that I'm a Starbucks barista so I'm pretty observant when I go to other stores. The barista that was on bar, making everybody's drinks, was burnt out. Extremely. Because of this, he was snappy with customers. A girl misheard him call out a drink and she goes, "Was that the caramel macchiato?" His reply was, "Uhh no. I'm working on it," super short like. The only customer that he was KIND of nice to was a guy that he already knew. Thennn, I noticed that there was a guy there that was interviewing for a job with Starbucks - instead of putting his drink in line as it was received, as it's supposed to happen, the barista dropped what he was doing to make that guy's drink first, ahead of other customers. I got my iced coffee and was still waiting like five minutes for my berry hibiscus. That specific drink is supposed to be shaken in a tea shaker. I watched it being made - the barista didn't shake it at all. Just poured it into the shaker, but then poured it right into the cup. What? I probably waited 10 minutes altogether... And there was no long line or anything. If you go to this Starbucks, do yourself a favor and go through the drive-thru and pray that you get Mike, because he's the only good part about this store! read more
