My experience at the Starbucks location in Knightdale definitely surpassed any Starbucks I've been to before. Service was quick and the drinks were amazing. The young lady that served me, Lana, was very attentive to my directions with the order I wanted. She was very quick on her feet whether it was with the drive thru, with making the tons of orders that were piling in and maintaining the space. This Starbucks location is located in a shopping plaza with other businesses. There is dedicated parking on the side of the business for customers. The business has indoor and outdoor seating available. Drive through service is also available. The business offers coffee, tea, hot drinks, fruit drinks, sandwiches and more. There wasn't a wait to order when I walked in. The barista I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering the Vanilla bean creme Frappuccino blended creme with 2% milk and no whip cream. The display case with bakery items has been removed at this location. I was able to pick my treats from a menu that was available at the checkout counter. I ended up ordering a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. There is an option of having your desserts warmed up if you desire. I also got a complimentary puppucino (whipped cream in a cup) for my dog. I enjoyed everything that I purchased. My Frappuccino had good flavor and tasted good. The brownie and cookie were moist and flavorful. I would reorder all of them again & return to this location. read more

This location has gone down in terms of quality. They are understaffed and the manager reminds everyone about it - as if you can't tell. We made a mobile order. Arrived at the store for drive-thru. The line was long like normal, so no biggie. The issues didn't arise until we got to the window, almost everything we ordered was wrong. Wrong drink given, we asked for a sugar free drink - we were given a sugar filled drink topped with caramel drizzle. The other drink tasted like just plain water. Wrong food given, we ordered chips were given something else. We ordered a sandwich, were given a croissant. All items were listed correctly on the order and the labels for the items. However, it was like they were making whatever and didn't care to look at what was actually ordered! Just be mindful and check your food before leaving. Love how organized they are, love how they can be quick but I don't like cold coffee when it's supposed to be hot. They employees are kind and relatable they work at making eye contact and trying to connect with the customer by saying there name multiple times (I.e. good bye Brittany) Tactics like this brings back social skills that have been hidden during COVID. read more

I'm giving this Starbucks 4 stars for these reasons: 1. My order has never been wrong. 2. I never have seen an idle employee. This place has not been given enough reviews and it really is more than two stars. This is the one closest to me and while sometimes the drive thru wait can be long, just look at the number of cars in line. Everyone wants coffee. Maybe they are short staff and that's why the wait can be long at times, but normally, when I go through, it's never too long and I get what I ordered. I always order online. The only problem I have had was a couple of times they seemed to forget part of my order and I had to ask where the rest of it was, not a big deal to me. They are great at making the drinks as requested and I'm one who will request it differently due to dietary needs. read more

This location ALWAYS makes my pink drink correctly. I order it without ice and the ratio of açaí base + milk is always perfect for me. The baristas are always kind and work hard. They have decent seating inside but got rid of their comfy chairs after remodeling. I think their outside seating is great for catching up with friends! read more

I swear this is the slowest Starbucks, aside from one in Fuquay where we waited 50 minutes for an order last week. Every time we stop at this one, the wait is ridiculously long. Yesterday, our drinks were at least an inch and a half down when given to us. There were only 3 cars ahead of us in the drive-thru, but it was still a over a 20 minute wait. We pulled away only to find they made one drink wrong. Well, the lobby was locked and the drive-thru line was now going around the building, so we were just screwed out of a drink. I spend at least three orders worth a week at this location. I normally use the drive thru and most times, it's clear. However, there are times I will be put on hold for a while before taking my order. This one time when no one was in front of me, I was put on hold for more than a minute, by far the longest. I am not sure what's going on inside, because it didn't look crazy busy. I almost wanted to just pull up to the window and place my order there. But I mean, my new year's resolution is an upgrade from my last two years', that is, more and more patience. So, I waited. Anyway, the service is always great once the staff are engage, but having your customer put on hold for no apparent reason is unacceptable. I've only been in the lobby once, unlike the common SB size, the inside is tiny. Tables are very limited, and I don't think it can accommodate multiple big groups. I think one big improvement is to make sure the drive thru is constantly moving fast, otherwise it defeats the purpose. read more

Update: this location on the inside is larger than most with plenty of room to work. Plenty of smiling faces. Alexis & Josh are the bomb.com. I think they've slowly improved. Misti was quick and spot on with our super particular order. Brennan is sweet. Drinks are to par. Drive thru a little slow but hey - it's all good. Small interior but enough wall outlets to go around. Super friendly group of people working here. We've been by several times and the customer service is on par. Give them a chance. read more

All the problems with this place are logistical, and it mostly stems from (in my absolutely uninformed opinion based on anecdotal observation) the basic corporate structure of the franchise. 1. The drive-thru can take very long. Literally 10-15 minutes from arrival to departure. This is less to do with inefficient workers and more to do with the menu. Those "milkshakes" people call "coffee" take a while to make. If people order more than 1, then the line gets backed-up. Same with the "food". The "ovens" are at the very furthest point from the drive-thru window, and everything has to be removed from the cellophane wrappers, heated up individually, and if people order more than 1, it backs-up the line. Occasionally there's the "perfect storm"--someone who orders several "milkshake"-coffee drinks, and several hot food items. If that happens, you're going to sit in the drive-thru for a very, very, very long time. 2. Getting your drink inside can take very long. Again... totally logistical. Because of the "app ordering" sometimes the place seems empty on the inside, but in fact they are getting crushed with online orders. I'm not sure if there's a process to fast-track those orders, or if the orders at the register just get buried in the avalanche. 3. There's not another Starbucks between 540 and... the entire eastern part of Wake Co. Therefore, this place gets SLAMMED. Technically there's one in the Target across the street, but it isn't drive-thru, it doesn't open until Target does, and people might not want to get out of their cars and walk 50 yards for their coffee. Combine that with the other logistical issues... and you can be waiting 10-15 minutes. 4. Sometimes, if you just order straight-up coffee, it's served mildly warm. I'm not sure if that is because it sits for 10-15 minutes while you wait in the drive-thru, or if they run out of coffee and just mix espresso shots and warm-water believing that it's an adequate substitute. The staff has always been, for the most part, very nice and hardworking. The store is very clean. The coffee is pretty much the standard quality from all the Starbucks. The main problem is that sometimes it can take a very long time to get in, and get out of this location. Again, that isn't the fault of anyone in particular, it's more-or-less because it's a high-volume location, customers are ordering drinks that are very time-consuming to make, they serve "food" but aren't set-up like a restaurant, the drive-thru is clausetrophic (seriously, it's like you're in a tunnel), and if you're in a hurry or not in the mood to wait, it can be a very hellish experience. read more

Was super stressed out this evening but with her recommendation and cheery personality, it really made my evening a lot better, plus now I have a favorite latte for the season. After waiting a while I went to let the barista (wearing shorts, hat, name starts with an A) know I was missing an item and she ignored me. This is personally my least favorite Starbucks location that I have visited. Order ahead has not been available for at least half the time I've considered coming to this location. I'm not sure why as I've been to several busier locations and this has never been an issue. I had to turn away bc the drive thru line had to be at least 15-20 cars long and I simply did not have 20 minutes to wait for 1 drink. I frequent the drive thru for mostly convenience however I have utilized the inside service as well. The drive through line is causing lots of traffic issues. At times I can't get a parking spot because the drive through line is blocking access. The line is supposed to flow on the back side of the parking lot tailing towards Best Buy. No one ever lines up that way though. Lastly the service is really slow. Nice staff. read more
