I'm reaching out because I am extremely frustrated and honestly pretty angry about how the holiday bear release was handled here in Knoxville, Tennessee. I waited two months for this drop. I planned for it, woke up early, and made a special trip before work on Thursday expecting the product to actually be available. Instead, here's what I walked into: a parking lot overflowing, a line wrapped around the building, and customers being told the store received two bears total and both were sold directly to employees. Not a single customer had a fair shot. That alone is unacceptable. I then went to the Starbucks inside my local grocery store. They never received any bears at all. On Friday, I tried another Starbucks on my way home, and once again, that store also never received a single bear. At that point, it truly felt like a joke. Knoxville is a major city. The idea that multiple stores didn't receive the item, while others received so few that employees took them before customers even had the chance, is ridiculous and unfair. Whether this was a botched rollout or some kind of "social experiment," it left a lot of customers feeling misled and disrespected. People spent time, gas, and energy chasing a product that wasn't even stocked. There was zero communication, zero transparency, and no accountability for stores where employees bought the items out from under customers. I expect a real explanation for how this happened and what Starbucks plans to do to make this right and prevent it from happening again. read more

I was on my way to pickup my favorite Starbucks coffee order, when I saw the Starbucks employee, help a car that was broken down in the drive thru. Stopped into this location today to pick up a couple of bags of piles place whole bean. Staff was friendly. In and out very quickly. Parking lot is a little tricky to navigate and exit to main road is only accessible via two means that only become familiar once you frequent this location a few times. It's extremely busy always given its location. I'd recommend stopping here. read more

I've never had an issue with this Starbucks, though I don't visit it often. Today at 11:30am, the drive-through was just about 4 cars long; it moved quickly. However, the cup of coffee she handed me through the window was dripping out from under the lid on all sides and down the sides of the cup. I had to ask her for napkins and a new cup and lid only to have it spilling all over again. Finally, I just asked her to pour some of it out to prevent any more leakage as to avoid coffee all over me and the car. It seems that some proper training could possibly help the young lady at the window. read more

I left this location a bit ago with my matcha and two birthday cake pops. I didn't notice it at first, but I just looked at my drink and saw the barista doodled a cute little cat on my cup. I hope this review somehow reaches that barista because I just want to say thank you. I have had one of the worst weeks of my life and this gesture brought me to tears. I like that they filled my cup to the top versus the one on Cumberland that gives me a cup 7/8th full. There was a time when it was only 6/8 full! okay so, to clarify this starbucks gets SUPER busy around the holidays. line wrapped around the building busy and the inside packed full as well. i have had a fair share of good experiences here with friendly baristas and consistent drinks but at my past few visits the staff have been unpleasant and rude. after placing an order on the app and still waiting in the drive thru for about 20 minutes, i pull up to the ordering speaker and tell them i ordered on the app. they told me that was fine and they were working on it. after pulling up to the window, the girl tells me that i have to come inside and wait on my order as they are backed up on online orders. now i can understand if she explained that this isn't their fault and their system is flawed, as i would have no way of knowing i was wasting my time in the line, but she just looked at me and said "that's all we can do. sorry." in the most unfriendly way possible. so i go inside and wait yet another 20 minutes for my singular drink and food. I got a "Hi..." after I replied, I was promptly told to give them "5-10 min for a mobile order, but since no one is in line come up to the window". I have already posted a review on 3/5/2023 but wanted to add some thoughts. I was there very recently on a late Saturday morning and they were busier than I have ever seen them. All employees were fully engaged and working very hard. I noticed a lot of customers complaining and making rude comments due to their wait. The thing that impressed me was the consistent, professional and gracious, polite behavior of the employees in response. I was irritated with the customers because I believe we are so fortunate to have someplace to get wonderful treats to help us through our days--and especially with the grim realities we have lived through in recent years. I hope that someone notices the dedication of these employees and gives them credit that they deserve. read more

Obviously the most "happenin' " Starbucks in Knoxville. Goodness. Not a lot of available seating because the flow of traffic was constant into this location. Most seating is in tall stools at thin work counters. This location is great for the independent worker with laptop but the "hangout and talk for hours" crowd is better off at another location. Apparently a freezer malfunction caused this location to be without any sandwiches this morning. A number of disappointed patrons. I ordered the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher - Grande. It was definitely refreshing and included four blackberries which was a nice addition. Staff seemed rather friendly. Chatty with some customers. Cordial with others. Bathrooms could use attention, which perplexes me in a location that has 7 people on the floor working. Coffee isn't my thing but it's clearly a thing for many Knoxvillians. I am not usually one to complain. However my experience here could have been much better. My husband always orders a hot mocha. Never had an issue. But this time around he began having an allergic reaction. He is allergic to tree nuts/ almonds. Starbucks, you need to be making sure you let people know what you wear putting in their drinks. I frequent this location as you can tell by my checking. I like this location as it is not overly crowded with tourist. The store is busy at times and you can have a little wait but they have always gotten it right. The store has a plenty of tables for those that study. The only thing I can complain about is that at times it is freezing in there. Cold outside bring your electric blanket to keep ware here. The staff are friendly and will answer your question or make suggestions. This location probably has the best staff in this area. I get my usual and it has not been bad yet. read more

Had the worst customer service I've ever had at a Starbucks! The guy taking our order was great; it went downhill from there... Gave them a common recipe for a "secret" frapp that I've ordered other places without them batting an eye. The lady came to the window to complain. Then had ordered two coffees with whole cream, as I am off carbs. Came with milk and no sweetener that was requested and on label. Asked for cream, the lady slammed my drink down, loudly exclaimed her disgust, made me wait (again) for several other drinks to be made, then shoved them back to me. Won't be back. I'll go to another Starbucks that fulfills their mission of serving their customers. read more

I think this location and the Turkey Creek location both have the worst customer service out of all the Starbucks in the area. Last 2 venti skinny vanilla lattes I've ordered had NO vanilla in them! And I even told the guy taking my 2nd order what happened and stressed PLEASE make sure they put the vanilla in it this time. He assured me it would be added, and didn't change me for it. Nada! Both these orders were thru the drive-thru. I called and complained to the MOD...will try them one more time as the drink will be free. I'll update if the order is correct...and increase from 1 star. Extremely frustrating since a hot drink is too hot to try before leaving the window. I'm not sure I'll tip again...ever. read more

Used to be my favorite Starbucks intown, used to have the BEST customer service, but after my last two visits I'd have to say i'm in extreme disappointment. The young lady, whose lipstick was blood red with dark brown/black hair and mismatched eyeliner with no name tag , I had make my drinks today was a royal B***ch. She was very rude about the fact I asked her for a Cafe Expresso Frap, she then proceeded to tell me they didn't make that drink, when in fact I had ordered one just the day before from the same Starbucks and they had told me the Expresso Frap was becoming a classic drink, she then made me some concoction of expresso, milk and ice, which was as liquidy as iced coffee with no whip or anything. I proceeded to tell her this was not what I was looking for, she argued with me for about 10 minutes about the difference between a "Cafe expresso Frap" and an "Expresso Frap" I honestly was appalled by her customer service for I am a Panera Bread cashier and would never argue with a customer whether I thought I was right or not. In the end she through the drink back in the blender and added more ice then put whip on it, which in my personal opinion was not the right way to fix it, she should of just re-made a new drink especially since she had just got done telling me how different the Frappuccino's were.
