Starbucks reviews... copy & paste... Not this time. I'm glad this one is good, because it's the closest to my house. The consistency and quality of the drinks here is high. But no worries, if it wasn't, they would make you a new one anyway. There's a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches at this location, so you're sure to find something to your taste. The service can be inconsistent, both inside and at the drive-thru. I've found better luck with the late night crew than the morning/afternoon shifts. That's another thing... love that this location is open until 11pm. Only other drawback is that seating is limited inside the building, though there's outdoor seating when it's warm enough. Bottom line, I love this Starbucks. Though not perfect, it's an above average location that you need to make your regular spot. read more

Not only do they always get my order right. The staff is so friendly and kind! I came here with my friends today near closing time...we each got our drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. I wanted to take another order for my husband before I left. Unfortunately, their card machine wasn't working and I had just got done giving the second order. I didn't have cash on me, just my card. Instead of turning me away, Sonia gave me a free drink! She kept saying, "don't worry about" and "I don't want to see you walk out of here empty handed" SO SWEET OF HER! THEN!....as I was walking out, I dropped MY drink!! I tried my best to clean up my mess. And before I could even turn around to grab my husbands drink....Becky, who was working the coffee machines hands me a brand new iced vanilla cold brew. She remembered my order and also said, "don't worry about, I made you a new one!" I felt so grateful! And they did it all with the sweetest smile on their faces! What is up with the poor customer service at 7:00 am weekdays? The staff at 10:00 am weekdays has been wonderful in the recent past. However, for work reasons, my husband and I have been making our Starbucks run earlier this week. Yesterday we each placed our mobile order and went inside to pick up since the drive thru was busy. Employee looked annoyed that we came inside instead of going through the drive thru. So I mentioned to her that the drive thru was busy so we decided to come inside. Today we picked up our mobile orders via drive thru and a different employee looked annoyed because we had two separate orders in one vehicle. Ugh, we can't win! Why are their employees annoyed that we are using the mobile order? Isn't the purpose for the mobile order to decrease long lines and wait time? Maybe this Starbucks is under new management? Not at this starbucks! i come to this starbucks alittle more than i would like to admit but its just so close to my home and well EVERYTHING! this location always gets my drinks correct and the staff is great. every morning you walk in you are greeted with a "GOOD MORNING!!!" (note this isnt just me getting a good morning greeting because i spend my life savings here they treat everyone the exact same) Cons: the seating area is a bit out dated there are not enough options for charging devices unless you are sitting at the counter top. they do however offer a community table that allows you to use powermat charging however idk what that is nor do i have it. Updated review: I always wondered why the bad reviews, then I met the manager Steve. Steve is possibly the most arrogant and rude person I have met in a service role. The issue with bad reviews is not product but service and this location has a mixture of people. IMO, they can drop Steve and improve service. Original review: Why the bad reviews? The people are nice, if a mistake is made then they fix it fast. I find that the location is great for getting in and out. If you look at the stars you would think this place is deserted but they are often packed, the drive-thru is busy, and there isn't anyone avoiding this location. I've gone here for years but am moving on to the local competition, Daily Projects (great friendly service, better food, and an internet that works!). I was in this Starbucks today and tried repeatedly to get the internet, no luck. Finally, I went up to the counter to ask about and oh gee, they replied, sorry it's not working. How about a little communication up front, posted notice, etc. By the way, you work the drinks in the drive up continuously and let the dine in group wait. When I dog walked closer to this side of Algonquin/Lake in the Hills, I'd always stop here whenever I needed a quick pick me up between my walks. Now, I only stop by when I'm in the area, or am having a one-on-one meeting with my managers ((when we can safely sit outside, that is)). I was even hired by my new managers at this location as well! Lol at that sassy 40ish year old drive through worker who works the window most mornings... My order is always off (which usually isn't a big deal) but when I ask about it or ask try to confirm my order it's straight attitude & her being defensive... Like I just want the correct amount of espresso.. I don't even care about the extra stuff... & I certainly don't care that you "put it in correctly" Same lady I've heard laughing as I've pulled up to the window saying "omg... Who's drink did I just give him?!" As another customer was pulling away... Gotta love having an adult employee who has the same teenage mentality of knowing it all that seems to be circulating the service industry with the gen X kiddos getting their first jobs.. During my 2 year "vacation" this was easily my favorite Starbucks to visit. The lobby closes at 11:00pm but the drive through is 24 hours. This meant coffee any time I wanted. The staff was also very nice. They'd gladly provide a free drink or a free drink coupon when things weren't going right. That would range from their computers being down to running out of soy milk. So... if you're ever craving a good latte at 2:00am and Dunkin Donuts doesn't cut it for you then head up to this Starbucks. read more

I have been to this Starbucks location several times, and unfortunately I am always disappointed. The amount of ice in each drink I purchase is absurd. I want to ask for "easy ice" but I feel as if that shouldn't even have to be an issue. It is very frustrating when I take 4 sips of my Trenta refresher, and it's all gone leaving me a ton of unnecessary ice in my cup. I've given this location many benefits of the doubt hoping to have a better experience since it is 2 minutes away from my house, but I will have to drive a little further to get a quality drink. read more

Holy s%£@t I was informed that sleeves are not offered with cool drinks. Excuse me, I know I'm not at Burger King so I can't have it my way but seriously I want a .05 cent sleeve as my coffee does sweat as science would have it. I have become more and more disappointed with Starbucks and their baristas. They are extremely rude at this location. I wonder if they have new managers? Not sure but I frequent Starbucks daily in the morning and occasional evenings and whatever time of day, the baristas at this location are so rude & disrespectful! Very disappointed. I now make an effort to avoid this location & drive a little further down Randall road. This location is not ideal to work on homework either. I have been searching for a great starbucks for years. The coffee is the same anywhere, but the service seems to be the key factor of a great coffee spot where you continue to go to. The coffee plus the great service makes this Starbucks, in my opinion, the best one around here. Not only is the drive-thur open 24 hours, the location is great. In the middle of town you can not help but stop there after a trip to Costco or a visit to Funky Monkey. This Starbucks has a great area for outdoor seating along with a very cozy lounge inside. Going with the great decor, the service is awesome. I have never once visited this Starbucks and had a negative server. They are not like other Starbucks employees that are too hyper and very annoying, laid back and very chill these Starbucks employees tend to act. Not only are they cool and relaxed to talk to, the coffee at this Starbucks always tastes better in my opinion. Maybe it's because the servers make my day a little better, or they take the time to make the coffee correctly, whatever it is I'm glad it happens. read more

Employees crank up the music volume way too loud to their suiting at this location (while weaning order head-sets) blasting personal in your face and explicit music collections (Pantera, Russian Circles, Never Dead came up on my phone). What's happening to the Starbucks's brand these days where one could relax to a comforting atmosphere and not feel like their attending a heavy metal concert. So my daughter gets an e-mail from Starbucks about their free travel cup with a purchase of a grande holiday flavor coffee. You have to be there after 2:00, order certain flavors, has to be a grande and it's only at participating Starbucks. So she clicks on the "See Complete Details" and it says "oops, sorry we're down for maintenance. Be back later." So we go over there and order three grande holiday flavored coffees. $16.00. I put $5.00 in the tip jar and move down the counter to wait for the coffee. While we're waiting I see other people with the "free" to-go cups. So I figure you get the coffee in the paper cups and they give you the "free" to-go cups empty. I get our coffee and she says hey ladies your all set have a good weekend. So I ask her about the cups and she says "oh, we decided it was gonna be just to crazy busy so we're not gonna do it. But if you want, we're selling the cups for $2.50 each if you wanna buy one." Ok, now I really don't want to come off as a jerk, but really? Come on Starbucks, you can do better than this. read more
