I was only way to work I blame County and have often wondered if there were some small coffee joints in downtown Wauconda. Well, they are here! Honey Hill has a chill atmosphere and welcoming presence at the onset with staff who are knowledgeable and can help guide you through choosing a drink that fits you. I ordered a hot Honey Nut Latte with Oat milk and the barista was correct; it tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios in a latte! I will be coming back more frequently when I have time to make a stop. I recently visited for the first time to have their iced caramel latte, and it did not disappoint. The coffee had so much flavor and was extremely smooth! Sadly, Honey Hill is far enough away from where I live that I wouldn't drive all the way their just to get coffee, but when I'm inevitably in Wauconda again soon, I will definitely stop by. The place itself is cute inside, and they even have local artists' paintings for sale on their wall. I love when local businesses support local entrepreneurs and artists. When we came, we sat on the little patio outside because it was a gorgeous day. They have a few tables set up right beside the building. When it comes to the menu, there are TONS to choose from! They also don't only have coffee, which is a plus because my husband isn't a coffee fan. They offer lemonade, frozen lemonade, non-coffee milkshake type drinks, steamed apple cider, hot chocolate, and teas. They also have food choices, such as multiple flavors of scones and cake slices. Admittedly, the day we came, the service could have been better. The young girl made the drinks really well, but she wasn't too friendly. She might have been having a bad day or something, which is understandable, but I wish she was a bit more personable. Overall, I highly recommend Honey Hill, and the location is perfect because it's in the downtown area of town, so there are plenty of stores around to pop in and out of! read more

Cute local coffee shop located downtown. Ample street parking. They have a great selection of coffee, espresso and tea drinks as well as food - including gluten free! The staff is super friendly and helpful in picking out the perfect drink if you want to try something new. I gave the pistachio latte a try (recommended) and it was surprisingly good! I didn't stay long, but it looked like there was lots of intimate seating in the back. read more

Quite a bohemian, eclectic place, in Wauconda, Illinois. Staff are friendly & up. Wanted a spot to have a mini business meeting, do recommend this spot. Interesting patrons included one gent who parked his chair directly in a pass through between rooms ignoring everyone trying to get by. We recently found ourselves in Wauconda and in need of a cup cause, well, we always need more coffee. As usual, we turned to Yelp and saw HHCC. We entered the place (possibly a former house) through the back door (parking lot back there, street parking up front). The back door leads right into the large ish seating area; 1 long table, 3 4 top tables, a sofa with 3 comfy chairs, a few counter seats), a good place to gather to visit or work. Art work lines the wall. As you enter into the room to place one's order the artwork continues, lots of signage with pithy sayings. We were greeted by a super zealous barista, very friendly. Saw on the wall a very extensive menu. I chose a special latte- the banana bread latte- sounded sweet and yummy. And it was. My husband only ever orders espressos and he said this one wasn't very good. The baked goods looked very good though we didn't try any. read more

They usually only have one person making drinks but they are very fast. The owner is very friendly and their coffee is good. I usually get the oat milk latte with honey. It's not my favorite brand of oat milk, but still good. My favorite thing is the location and outdoor seating. It's right downtown with a lot of places to walk to. Very cute environment. read more

Honey Hill is one of my favorite local coffee shops. I work remote, so I'm always looking for a good cafe with outlets and free wifi. Being new to the area, I looked up coffee shops near me, and happened to stumble across Honey Hill. Great coffee, helpful and efficient staff, and a cozy atmosphere. It can get a little noisy with other people being there (since it is on the smaller side), and it would be nice to have a few more food options, but overall it's a great place! read more

My friend and I stopped in to get a cool drink while shopping in the downtown area. I am not a coffee drinker and was surprised at all the iced tea options available. Somehow I got enticed to get a few cookies and other desserts to take to go with my very fruity-tasting iced tea (oh yum! it was good). My friend got an iced coffee with chocolate and caramel which she said was "much better than Stxxks". She too added a few cookies and scones to her order. The atmosphere, staff, and ambiance were top marks. I was even happy to see that they are pet-friendly, so next time my pup will join us at the outside table. read more

Visited this coffee shop right after having a massage from Main St Wellness and Skin Care which was right across the street. Such a cute liitle shop and the service was wonderful. Ordered a breve mocha and it was smooth, sweet ( but not overly sweet) and super delicious. There was a wonderful young woman name Ria or Rhea ( so sorry ... I adore this coffee house. While I'm not a coffee drinker, I do enjoy a nice nook to work from for a couple hours, with something warm to drink ( usually tea or cocoa) and a nice snack (try a scone!). The friendly environment is small town living personified. Friendly chatter, warmth, and an obvious care for their products. The seating area is cute and comfortable. Also a great place to pass the time if your car is in the shop down the street. Highly recommend. read more

My first time trying Honey Hill Coffee Company. I have heard great things about this place prior to my visit. The atmosphere of this coffee house is cute, cozy and quaint. The barista was very friendly and efficient. She had a long line of customers which she managed very well while still being conversational and friendly with everyone. The place was packed which is an excellent sign of a good coffee place. I also really enjoyed that they are dog lovers and work with local rescues. We got the Fiji iced tea, iced cafe mocha and some blueberry madelines. Everything was fresh and delicious. They even have a punch card program which is a nice touch. I will definitely be back and be recommending this place to friends and family. If you're in Wauconda you should definitely check it out. read more
