I worked all week at the hospital 12 hour shifts towards my residency, and that weekend I went to get my drink on Saturday (the day after my actual birthday) since I had worked on my birthday and the manager had told me no, that it was against policy. I was just curious and confused, considering that Starbucks and Dutch bros give you 30 days to redeem. I wasn't angry, just disappointed. But the worst part was the manager's delivery. She was rude, short, condescending and dismissive when I was genuinely curious as to what their policy was. She gave me her name and told me to contact her manager "if I had a problem" and I really didn't. I think she was used to customers fighting against her. I was taken aback because I was being respectful and I was listening, but she was aggressive. I spend many of my days taking care of patients who are ill and don't feel well. So I understand when someone is projecting their emotions. But in understanding this, I know that I always provide true customer service and patients. You never know what someone is going through, and just a simple drink. I will never bring my service to 7 brew again, and will have to let others know.

In addition to coffee, there was an incredible array of teas available as well both for drinking and purchase. The interior space was incredible, large and expansive while maintaining cozy and inviting vibes. Seating options were plentiful, great for studying, hanging out with friends, or even just quickly sitting down to enjoy a cup and snack. The shop area was also quite nice with so many coffee and tea options from all over available fresh as well as various trinkets and jsut fun goodies available for purchase, all at quite honestly some fair prices. Was great for perusing through while sipping on a fantastic cup. The staff were all incredibly friendly, but one area that needed some improvement was just how slow everything was. Not sure where the choke was but the line just refused to move despite not even being that long, and it kept doing this. This was not only at the coffee counter too, even at the store counter at first there was just nobody behind it for quite some time as a line formed and we all just looked around for a worker. And then finally one meandered on up, and while e they were kind and friendly, the service was just oh so slow which was quite frustrating. Besides the slow service though I will say it is a fantastic little spot. Unassuming on the outside but once you walk through the doors such an incredible space full of coffee, tea, and so much fun. Would def recommend (just not if in a rush) and will likely return!

We shared a slice of Martine's Pastry double chocolate cake and wow, it was divine, so rich, fudgy, and absolutely worth the indulgence. The variety of coffee choices was seriously next level! We shared a cup of their decaf espresso and it was smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. Definitely a spot we'll be revisiting. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and explained how their process worked. Very neat spot.

Not only do they have an amazing selection of coffee, espresso, and tea, but their food menu is fantastic too. The seating areas are adorable, and they have the cutest gifts and items for purchase. It's the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or even a drink at the bar, but it's also great if you just want to grab a latte to go and do a little shopping. If you visit when the butterflies are in season, make sure to take a stroll to the butterfly house on the side of the building - it's a small, peaceful getaway. Sometimes they even have moths in a cage inside the store, which is always interesting to see. I've been to hundreds of coffee shops across the country, and this is truly my favorite of all - and it just happens to be right next to my neighborhood.

It feels like a hidden gem, the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything we ordered came out promptly. We'll definitely be back in the near future. Gotta try other items from their menu and maybe check out more butterflies

I haven't been to the market itself but I can vouch for the take out -- it is authentic, fresh, and 100% tasty. My friend speaks Japanese, so she called a few hours ahead to place the order for pick up later. I had the Katsudon and Gyudon. Katsudon is fried porkcut and eggs over rice. The pork hit the spot. The eggs were soft. I did wish the eggs were a little runny and there was a little had more sauce to add more flavor to my rice. But by all means it was still delicious. Gyudon is the beef bento box, with beef over rice and some sides of pickled veggies and broccoli. The beef was tender and extremely flavorful. The onions and seaweed contributed to the complex flavor of the otherwise plain rice. One complaint I have is the meat-to-rice ratio. In every bowl, there's simply too much rice. Nevertheless, for the unbeatable price ($6.25 for each of the items above; some cost a little more) and authenticity, I would willingly come back again and again. My Japanese friend sees Kaede as a hidden gem that reminded her of home -- a little piece of Japan right here in Lexington!
