This was by far the worst Starbucks I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. My girlfriend and I stopped in just after opening at 6 a.m. while on a weekend trip to Manchester for breakfast and some large, caffeinated beverages. The only other customer in the restaurant was seated at a table, already served and reading the newspaper. With two employees behind the counter we imagined that we would be back on the road in no time. That was to be a pipe dream. Each of us ordered a food item and a hot drink. My girlfriend went first, ordering her favorite pumpkin spice latte in the largest available size. Not long into our day she ended up dumping out her expensive drink, telling me that it didn't taste anything remotely like something fit for human consumption, let alone like a PSL. I ordered just after she did--a latte and a croissant. The employees seemed far more interested in their conversation than with preparing our order, and after handing me my food, the barista smiled and wished us a good day. "Excuse me," I asked, "but do you have my latte?" Her response: "What latte?" And so, after explaining to her that I had, just minutes ago, paid for a latte, I waited another ten minutes for her to complete my order. Next time, we're going to the Dunkin Donuts down the street. read more

This location was an extreme disappointment. The costumer service was terrible. My friends and I waited 20 minutes for their drinks and after 5 more minutes of waiting for mine, I asked about it and the drink ticket never printed. I was waiting for a drink that wasn't coming. A simple "We're sorry about that." "We'll get right on that." Would have been nice, but we received none of this. They took their time, made my drink, handed it over as if I'd just ordered it, and gave no concern as to how long we had been there. No compensation, no apology, no cares. I can't tell if the coffee here tasted better than other Starbucks' locations because (a) they actually had dark roast brewing, and I love it when I hit a dark roast day, (b) I was drinking it in Manchester, and was surprised to have coffee I didn't need to dilute with milk and sugar, (c) I hadn't had coffee in the morning and was like a coke head in need of a fix, or (d) everyone being so nice in NH is just putting me into a contented delusional haze. This place is awesome I've been coming here for years now and I'm grateful we even have a Starbucks in Manchester because otherwise it's loaded with weak, watered down Dunkin's. I see a lot of reviews complaining of shortages and long wait times and it's completely annoying. Being a former barista knowing how long it takes to craft these customers' "special drinks" I wish people would realize it takes time to make Frappuccino's, steam milks, pull shots( especially when they're asking for a lot), etc especially when you have large orders and can't be bothered to come inside = naturally a wait time per car. It's CLEAR that shortages are due to Covid AND TikTok so people really need to begin to understand that.. I mean it's been this way everywhere for awhile now. I laugh as I drive around back past the drive thru and as I'm going around the building to park and physically go inside and only have no more than a 10 minute wait on a busy day I can count 15 cars average. I am traveling around the country and have been visiting a lot of Starbucks. I am not sure if its a regional thing but the customer service was awful. I think a vending machine would have offered better service. There was no eye contact or acknowledgment that the order was heard and as a result the order was incorrect. In addition a customer dropped their xlarge fruit beverage and it covered a significant portion of the floor and customers. No acknowledgment or offers to help clean up the mess were made. read more

The perfect retail experience happens when you hardly need to wait to sip your favorite drink and you hardly notice anything but smiles from those around you. Everything else will just dissolve into memory. The day after hurricane Irene I stopped in to grab some coffee. Where people had been cooped up inside the day before, the staff at this location handled the busy atmosphere so smoothly you hardly noticed the crowd. One star goes to the barista who took my money. She was friendly and attentive and we talked about eyeglasses for three minutes straight. She talked to everyone in much the same way except not about eyewear. Second star goes to the woman who made my frappucino. She knew exactly what affogato style meant (a shot of espresso on top). Since she kept moving, nobody had to wait around. Stars go to the rest of the customers, who were all just happy to be there. read more

Absolutely terrible! I went in to order a drink. I looked at the menu and made my choice. I waited about 5 minutes to be helped. Not too bad in my opinion. I ordered and paid for my drink. After about 10 minutes, I'm then notified they no longer offer what I ordered. That's odd. I just paid for it!! This same situation happened to me at the North Conway store. This tells me Starbucks has NO inventory controls, or perhaps it's something else. I reached out to corporate and never got an answer back or even an acknowledgement of the issue. Consistent product quality over the five years I have been going here. Drive thru service has declined markedly in speed over past year, not sure why. Awkward drive- thru entrance includes on occasion dodging tractor trailers parked to service Papa Ginos next door along back of building. Love the soymilk lattes and spinach wraps. read more

Waiting for the day another Starbucks opens up in the area because this one is just awful. Their drive thru experience is a disaster; if you're trying to get coffee from 6-8am just avoid it completely or you'll be stuck in line for 20-25 minutes. On top of that- they're always out of things! One time they had no water bottle water. Okay. Another time, the croissants. This morning, I tried to order the breakfast wrap that I get almost everyday... they told me they were out. I asked for a different bfast sandwich but they were out of that too. So no public restroom since March. When I pointed out that other Starbucks have public restrooms open, the woman who was making orders pulled down her mask by pinching the front of it with the fingers of her right hand to reply that, "There's a lot of inconsistency but we're trying to follow policy." She then put her mask back up and continued to use those same hands to prepare someone's order, including putting whipped cream on the order. I'm pretty sure that's not policy. I would rather the employees honor policy while making beverages. There is actually no good reason to not allow patrons to use your restroom. read more

As a former Starbucks partner I was disappointed to see the lack of customer engagement at this particular store (which is something Starbucks prides themselves on and strives for). I am lactose-intolerant so I get soy and one time they made my drink with 2% instead. No big deal. I had originally gone through their drive-thru but parked my car and went inside to see if they would remake it for me. They did but they girl who remade my drink was more annoyed than happy to remake my simple iced soy chai (a drink that literally takes 10 seconds to make)...I didn't appreciate the attitude and the lack of an apology for getting it wrong the first time. The service is moderate, I've been stuck at the drive-thru window for long waits before. It's disappointing because this store being the only one in Manchester has great potential, they just need to put some passion into their work. Yes I know its Starbucks and it's "just coffee" but the employees need to be models for what their company is striving for. Terrible, terrible experience! In the drive through, as the tray was being handed it broke spilling on me and my car! Not even an apology. Called their customer service line and more than a week later, I have not heard back. Unbelievable how poorly this was handled. Bedford is the better location people wise however I find this locations coffee hotter and tastier. This location though, I find, other than 2-3 people max who work at this location are downright impolite. Today, was no different on that front. Don't be upset with us because the half and half is out by the self serve area. That's on the Starbucks. I don't normally write reviews unless the establishment is abysmal. Today I stopped to get a black iced coffee. I asked for it black, no sweetener or creamer. The drive through worker even confirmed it. After waiting longer than we should have to get through the drive through line. They give me the coffee, my girlfriend who's driving pulls away. I take a sip and it's sweetened. This wouldn't normally drive me to write a review, but this is the THIRD time this has happened at this particular location. This maybe happens 1/50 times at other Starbucks locations. So the question I'm stuck asking myself is 'what breeds such incompetence at this particular location?' It could be poor education in the Manchester area, it could be poor training among management, it could be all the chemicals Obama put in the water to dumb people down so they don't realize he's colluding with the cloud people for total world domination. This is a fantastic Starbucks! People are friendly and energetic and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. Usually has good jazz playing in the mornings. The parking situation can be abysmal at times but it's worth searching for a spot or parking by Aldi's. It's fun to people watch here too. I love Starbucks however this location needs some work. There are always 6 or more employees working when I stop in on my way to work at least 2-3 times a week and there is always a wait. I'm not sure why but you need to allow yourself extra time or you will be late to work . The drive through line always has at least 10 cars waiting and there is a line inside as well. None of the employees seem to have any urgency to move quickly. It's very frustrating! read more

This is a very average Starbucks location. The drive thru entrance is inaccessible when you enter the main parking lot. Having a drive thru at all is a bonus, but the service was on the slow side. I have gone inside once for my coffee. The employee was friendly and took a reasonable amount of time to make my order. Both times my iced coffee with caramel was delicious. read more

I had a craving for a specialty drink I like from Starbucks & had to stop by while I was in the area. Was as good as I remember them being (haven't had Starbucks coffee of any kind since moving from Ca.). Just left here and it took 25 minutes to get my drink and I was only the 3rd person in line. Speed is not their strong suit and the sense of urgency didn't pick up once the line got longer and wrapped around the island divider. I ordered my drink specifically saying what I wanted and I still ended up with it being wrong. After 25 minutes! This one needs to do better especially with it having a drive thru and being on a main road. Won't be back to this location. read more

I love Starbucks dark roast coffee. It's actually strong. A small coffee costs $2 and trust me they are a good size; much bigger and better than Dunks. I love this Starbucks for it's drive-thru. It's fast and everyone is always super nice. read more

So I go to Starbucks often, and normally its great but today, it was deplorable. We ordered two Frappuccino's, and both were incredibly watered down, and the Smores Frappe was with just a small layer of whipped cream. This is my favorite Starbucks. It's currently their only store in Manchester. I wish they had more locations in this city. If they ever opened other stores in Manchester I would still patronize this store, because I like their staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The service is fast. I appreciate how they take the time to know my name and get to know me and other regular customers. It's little things like that that make me feel more welcome there than at other coffee shops around town. The coffee and food are both great. The free Wi-Fi service is excellent. It's fast and doesn't drop your connection. The store is larger than most Starbucks I've visited. There are enough tables and seating to accommodate individuals or small groups. Sometimes I work from there for several hours at a time, and the staff has always made me feel welcome. read more
