My wife and I came through for a drink while traveling. There was no line and we ordered one beverage. We did not receive our drink until 10 minutes later and only three other beverages came out during that time. All of the employees were focusing on getting the drive through drinks out the window and neglecting the interior guests. The gal who helped us was nice and and said "sorry" when she handed us our drink. There was another gal working passing out drinks who did not have an enjoyable time with her co-workers when a drink by another guests was returned as it wasn't made correctly. It could've just been a bad day, but 10 minutes is crazy for an iced tea to come out with no line. Btw there were 8 employees working. If it were a smaller crew it wouldn't have been as frustrating of a wait time. read more

So went to this store to treat my Mom to a Starbucks coffee on Mother's Day, much to my surprise, I was met by the manager as she handed my mom a rose. I asked why? She told me,"Because it's Mother's Day and we want to celebrate it with you." Then I saw 2 young men handing out flowers too. Wow,I have never been met with such great service. not to mention the store was clean and the staff was friendly and fast. I'd go here in again and definitely tell others about the service here. Woman working the drive thru Sunday 3:40 was rude. She would not give customer in front of me an extra cup she told him they were running low of cups. Then after I received my drinks I asked if she could take my empty Starbucks cup from that morning .she told me no that she don't take garbage and that there was a waste can in parking lot. read more

The worst Starbucks I've experience, I order a "pink drink with no ice" and they gave me the drink with ice all the way to the top of the cup..... I went up and told the employee I order it with "no ice" .....She replied "that's what it was" .....she threw the pink drink I gave it back to them away but she completely ignore making me a new one for me (I always order this drink and it take no more then 2 min) while I was sitting and looking at her making multiple next orders (hoping one of them would of make it.....there was three people who I see at the moment who make drinks at the time and 3 people take orders).....the employee who toss the drink seem to ignore making me a new drink so went up and told another employee (lady) that "I am still waiting for my pink drink with no ice"....she replied "no ice" then she just grab a drink from somewhere near the drive thru table and handed to me and i hold the drink and turn going to leave and "I was like this is not a pink drink (darker pink/red, which pink drink is a light pink) I've always order pink drink and this is not it?" (I said this out loud")...I turn back and saw the employee(lady) who gave me this drink was having a bad attitude....I have every reason to be pissed right now... I told the employee I saw her attitude she was doing....and she replied "what....what???" I said this is not a pink drink and she say she just give me what I told her and she wasn't sure what I said....first of all she's a liar I clearly said to her "pink drink with no ice" and she just grab me a random drink on table....so I told her if she wasn't sure she should of confirm....(why did she just hand me any drink...this is not the right way to treat a customer).....so I was really mad I'm on the road and was in a hurry too.....I asked for a refund and will never step into this Starbucks.....Horrific employees and I should of ask for their names so I can at least posted on here too....when I went to get my refund it take them less then 2 mins to make my drink???? I'm not one to really write reviews unless I feel like it entails one but today I just had to give recognition to one of the baristas who works there! Today I was on the road and I went into this Starbucks and it was filled with so many students, I almost didn't want to go in. But knowing me and my love for coffee, I went in anyways to get my dose of caffeine. Like I said, it was super busy, but when there, I experienced a barista who definitely made my day! She was very positive and attentive. She made sure myself as well as the other customers waiting were informed that their drinks were being made to perfection and always reassured us. She was great and had such a welcoming attitude! I definitely didn't mind the wait because she just made sure we were all doing okay until the drinks were made. I thought she was even greater because she had a very distinct name on her name tag. It wasn't one to forget! I think it was Terrizle. What a sweet and fun girl! This Starbucks is definitely out of the way for me, but I think I'm going to start coming to this one more often just because of Terrizle. This sweet girl really made my day! Worst in Merced. I come here hoping I'll get a different experience and no it's the same every time. The drinks aren't usually good they're watered down from too much ice like they've been sitting on the counter. They don't care about the quality of the drink whatever's fast to get out the window is good enough for them. Also I am a barista so I do know it can be difficult when there's a line but there are hardly people when I go. read more

I stopped here for coffee and a quick breakfast on my way out of town. The girl taking my order was kind and patient and very knowledgable about the menu. She didn't mind taking a minute to help me make a selection. I saw nothing but smiles that were sincere and a willingness to help. People seemed to be glad to serve their customers. How refreshing. I'm a regular here at this Starbucks just because of its convenience to my home and work. The drinks are almost always made amazing but the customer service needs some help! Go somewhere else. This place is not too crowed and there are usually tables to sit at but its a very uncomfortable atmosphere. The music is turned up way too loud, very few plugs, and if you could concentrate on what ever you were doing you would have to listen to the night crew yell at one another. The staff seems more concerned about flirting with the new girl then getting your order right. The frap tasted burnt and bitter. How do you screw up a frap? The bathroom was extremely messy, and I was tired about hearing how much the morning manager screws everything up when she comes in. Overall there are much better Starbucks in Merced. Its too bad because the others are a 10 min drive. In my opinion go to the olive st Starbucks. read more

I live in Merced have all my life. I go to Starbucks one to two times a day daily. I work in Atwater so go to the one on bellevue in Atwater often. I also go to the one in Merced daily on olive, for the record they are both awesome and they know how to make your drinks. I go to the one on child's somethings because, it's convenient since it's the only one in Merced that has a drive-thru. I am sad to say that I'm very disappointed in the Starbucks on child's. I always get a caramel iced coffee. Every time I asked for this they never get it right they want to give me an iced coffee without the caramel just milk they asked me 1 million questions every time I go to this one the other ones they never asked anything and they always get it right not child's. This time I got really irritated because they asked me five times didn't get it right had to correct them then it was written right on the screen when I went up there they put so much milk in it they ruined my coffee. I told the guy that it was wrong and he looks at me like I was crazy when I explained to him this was the only Starbucks that always question a caramel iced coffee and get it wrong he says well geez I'm sorry that we are your least favorite one. So yeah not only do I pay five dollars for a cup of coffee that's not right I get attitude from an 18-year-old boy that doesn't know the difference between Carmel and milk for sweetener. I Will not be going to this Starbucks ever again even if they do have a drive-thru. I'm very disappointed had to call the customer service and make a complaint never had to do this before at any Starbucks sad face goes out to Starbucks on Childs Avenue in Merced California. read more
