This location is not friendly and extremely dirty and messy each time I visit. Condiment station is dirty, garbage full to the top, no half and half. Have to go back to the unfriendly stagg at the main counter to ask for half and half. Garbage on floors, all tables dirty. We wanted to sit and enjoy our coffee however based upon the surroundings we decided to leave. Sad that this location is not welcoming. read more

I am always iffy about chain locations. Usually you can not mess up a Starbucks too much. This location was missing something. The staff was busy having conversations behind the counter so service was slow. The customers were not being attended to. I had an event near this place so I went two mornings in a row. Each morning something catastrophic occurred. Day one, while handing a venti coffee to a patron, the barrista was handing the coffee while securing the lid, which resulted in the coffee tipping over and hitting four people. While cleaning up, I mentioned that coffee was still under the counter and you would have thought that I told the barrista he was completely inadequate. I would just hate for someone to lean on the counter and get residual hanging coffee. Day two - They ran out of something. Not sure what. But something. I know this because they were all milling around talking crap about someone who was not doing their job. The funny part is that no one was attending to the people in front of the counter. Just saying. The caramel mocha was completely average. Nothing special. Definitely glad my event was over but I am sad to see no other competitors in the area but McDonald's. read more

The place became crowded after me (6:45am on Friday) and I couldn't believe all the people waiting for their order. And waiting and waiting. They must have been short staffed. read more

I am totally on board with a coffee place that has a drive thru. (Because who hasn't had that Sunday morning where you just want to throw on a coat on over your pajamas and get a latte without anyone seeing you?) So I was delighted to learn (months ago) that the Greenway Station Starbucks was moving to a new, drive thru enhanced location. Do I need to review the coffee? It's Starbucks - everybody knows what it tastes like. Not my absolute favorite coffee, but when you throw in a phone app that lets you order ahead of time and skip the line - Starbucks goes to the top of the list. Oh - and a nice story about this location. On Thanksgiving, I did the aforementioned "drive thru in my pjs" thing. I pulled up to the speaker, was greeted, and said, "Happy Thanksgiving! I'd like to order..." When I pulled around to the window, the barista said, "That's on the house." I said, "What - why?" And she said, "You were the first person to say 'Happy Thanksgiving' to me today." Score! I will be back - because Starbucks. Drive thru, pre-order app, nice people - no brainer. read more

I've been going to this Starbuck's for 12 years. Before they moved even. Sadly this past year has been in decline. There seems to be high turn over now with staff. Most of the staff though are friendly. There's been a few times, recently I've been ignored at the register. Folks off making pastries or everyone running the drive thru window. Waited in line for a very long time just to get ready to order our drinks through drive thru and the lady asked us to wait longer. Total of 14 minutes in drive thru is too long for a place that offers drive thru services. This locations lacks customer service and is clearly way understaffed. I will stop at local gas station next time for coffee. read more

I have been to numerous locations, I love Starbucks... and it never fails, this location has the slowest service. I will say that the service is always friendly, and they always apologize for the wait. The product is always great, just need some time management courses I think. read more

Standard Starbucks, I do like this location a lot. After they moved across the street and added a drive thru it is so much faster and easier to get your drink here. The service is ok, it can get a little slow depending on the time you go. The drive thru wraps around almost the whole store so it helps with the traffic flow. The parking lot is hard to get out of considering there are a few other restaurants and stores connected to this Starbucks. If you play your cards right you can usually get out of here fast but be wise on the time you plan on going. I would also recommend ordering ahead on their Starbucks app if you plan on getting any food. If you order the rough the drive thru with food the wait can get pretty long. The app saves you time and usually does the trick on this side of town. read more

I am a fan of Starbucks - MAINLY for the fact that they are making it convenient (ie. drive-thru) for me to grab a coffee. This particular location has friendly staff and can make a decent cappuccino, however, I'm a somewhat self-proclaimed coffee snob and do not go to Starbucks for the quality of coffee... If you want quality, tasty coffee, visit Ancora or Colectivo. With that being said, the drive-thru is again convenient, but the parking lot is absolute hell. During peak-hours (aka when everyone wants coffee before work), you're going to be waiting in that drive-thru for a good 20 to 30 minutes. If you're willing to park and go in, I highly suggest placing a mobile order through the Starbucks app about 10 minutes before you arrive, because if you don't, you'll wait in line inside the store for at least 15 minutes too. Lastly, don't be shocked if you can't find a seat on their "patio" (maybe has 5 or 6 small tables, with a BEAUTIFUL view of... the parking lot.) I will return to this location, mostly due to the fact that I am in the Greenway neighborhood relatively often. read more

The employees were busy talking so they did not great me when I came in and then I asked for them to clean some tables.....I got a sigh and the guy went and cleaned the tables. I want to send a HUGE shout out to Eric, the manager at Starbuck's. I work at the American Family Children's Hospital and had a very sick patient whose "wish" was to have Starbuck's coffee with her mother one more time. Eric immediately responded, made the drinks and delivered them himself along with a gift from the store. He even offered to bring a table and chairs to set up in her hospital room. Long line in the drive-thru, followed by rude customer "service" and then an ice cold scone... I decided to stop at Starbucks, instead of McDonald's across the street for quality purposes, but unfortunately I had a low quality experience. I waited 5 minutes to get to where I could order. I wanted a sausage and cheddar on a biscuit, but they don't personalize orders and I was told that I could only order chicken sausage on a biscuit. I asked for cheddar cheese and they explained that the only sandwich on a biscuit does not come with cheese, it comes with gravy. So then I tried to order a breakfast sandwich that was pictured directly in front of me like a special and I was told that that sandwich is discontinued. I said "okay because the picture is right here". The person was not happy and said "yes but we cannot make it, because it has been discontinued!" So I looked around and finally choose a smoked Bacon Sandwich with smoked bacon and I don't know what else to choose from the menu, since they have limited items left and they aren't all listed on the menu board. Then I asked for a mocha frappacino...I don't know if that is what it is called, since it was not an option on the menu board, but she seemed to know what I want and called it a mocha. And finally, thought I would also try a pumpkin scone. I waited another 4 minutes to pay and then another 5 minutes for them to cook my sandwich. As I drove away, I took a bite to see if the scone was amazing, but it was not that great and it must have been taken straight out of the cooler and thrown in the bag. I don't know if they are automatically supposed to heat the scones or if it should be requested? Either way, it was not offered as an option. Any of these issues would not have been enough to complain about, but stacked on each other made the "experience" annoying at the least. I have to mention that when I got to the window, it looked like the lady who so rudely took my order switched with another employee when I pulled up and the girl that ran my credit card was extremely pleasant and helpful. She said that the order would be a bit for the food to be prepared and that I can go ahead and close my window while I waited, since it was pouring rain. Too bad I couldn't have done my review based on her part of the process. She deserves more recognition for her efforts. read more

The Deming Way Starbucks recently moved across the street from its old location. The new place looks great, with lots of seating and power outlets available. The food selection has been hit or miss, though, with very few sandwich / box options available from Starbucks' menu. My biggest problem with the place is the flies! Seriously, why are there dozens and dozens of flies inside a brand new coffee shop? I've gone there to get work done on 4 occasions in the last couple of weeks and have wound up just leaving after a little while because of the flies landing on me constantly. There is a drive thru, so if you don't plan on sticking around this place is fine. read more

I love Starbucks, probably go there 3 or 4 times a week. This location though is always a bit slow even if you go inside, I think because of the drive through. Not a huge deal, but the last time I visited I was extremely disappointed as not only did I wait for a decent amount of time, my drink was wrong. Label was correct though. May seem petty also, but considering drinks are above 120 degrees doesn't it make sense to make sleeves more available if the baristas can't be troubled to put one on? read more

You can tell they love their job and their job is to make coffee (or in my case, a venti, non-fat, carmel macchiato) and make me happy in the morning! This starbucks has bad customer service compared to any other location. They were rude to me after I asked if they could check how much money I had left on a giftcard (The lady even said "i hate this thing" about the machine, which is fine, but the tone made it sound like she was complaining rather than having small talk with me). The gift card had no money left , no issue. Then when I paid, she said I still owed a penny. I was confused since I gave her $5 for my normal drink which is always $4.60ish. I was confused but I didn't want to make a scene or stall the other customers (very busy location). She then handed me my drink without saying a word, no cash back, no have a nice day. IT WAS THE WRONG DRINK!!! It had Cinnamon flavoring when I asked for Vanilla Iced Latte. I do not what went wrong. She confirmed a vanilla iced latte before asking if I wanted anything else(i didn't order anything else). Maybe I got someone else's order but that has never happened to me before. read more

Not up to Starbucks standards I've ordered grande americano w/ 1/3 room for over 10 years in Starbucks all over the world without an issue. This only Starbucks that just argues with me about it. It's simple. I want a strong cup of coffee, not so much water. Not possible here apparently. Two different employees argued with me. Last time a got a watery half-filled cup. Yuck. Weak coffee. I have been a loyal Starbucks member for several years and I will not return to this Starbucks. I have been there 4 times. The customer service was poor each time. 2 of the 4 times they got my order wrong; 1 was at the drive up, I ordered a Venti Vanilla Latte, drove away and got to work only to find I received some type of hot tea. This morning I went in and ordered a Venti Vanila Latte and I received a Grande Latte with no Vanilla. The woman who took my order was abrupt, no smile and made me feel hurried. I appreciate Starbucks offering more choices in ordering etc., but not at the expense of errors and poor customer service. read more

I have been going to the Greenway Starbucks for years. Yes, it recently changed locations and apparently staff also unfortunately. The majority of the new staff seems like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you; they're over it. Too cool for school. It's not a welcoming environment, unlike many other Starbucks locations throughout the Madison area. Also, I have never seen the manager smile once in at least five or more years that I've frequented this location. He always seems like he is in a bad mood--both to employees and customers. The addition of the drive-through is a huge bonus; however, the parking situation is inadequate and cramped. Overall, whenever I walk in, I feel unwelcome. Some of the staff are awesome, of course. But my general perception is that you have to be this cool to ride. If not, take your coffee and keep it moving. read more
