Finally have a spot for all the Costco hauls. The kitchen feels so much more functional now that I'm not playing Tetris with frozen peas every time I open the door. Didn't expect to hear back that fast, honestly, though I did have to scramble a bit to figure out how to get rid of the old unit since they don't take it. The guy who came out was super careful, hardly made a sound and didn't leave a single scuff on my linoleum. It's just nice to have a freezer that actually stays at zero without that annoying humming sound my old one had. Didn't realize how much I was working around the old one until now. A delicious cappuccino on a cold rainy day before a baseball game. Overall, really liked the location to the stadium. Also staff were super friendly. They even handled a guest who was a bit...unorthodox with their shoe wearing ideals. They handled it in a super professional way and wasn't made into a big deal. Cappuccino was a solid 3.5/5. The Hennepin Avenue Bridge Starbucks.   Who says that Mermaids only reside by the sea. In Minneapolis there is a Green Mermaid that resides by the Mississippi River. It is the Hennipen at First Avenues Starbuck's Green Mermaid sign that overlooks the Hennepin Avenue Bridge. It was on our way to the Mississippi River where we spotted the Green Mermaid sign.   This is one of the phenomenally good Starbuck's that I have been to. To be a phenomenally good Starbuck's, it needs to provide a unique uplifting Starbuck's experience. Before stepping on the Hennepin Avenue Bridge, this very Starbuck's was the prelude to a Mississippi River adventure. We'd hang out here three different times. One day we visited before and after a Mississippi River loop hike then on our last day we visited before the second Mississippi River loop hike. Being that it is so close to the river, it made for a good meeting spot after my dad and I met up with my brother after the first Mississippi River loop hike.   The most significant aspect that makes this a phenomenally good Starbuck's is that the east-facing windows and outdoor seats overlook the fifty foot tall towers of the Hennepin Avenue Bridge. I find it to be enjoyable sipping quality coffee while looking at a suspension bridge. Especially on a Minnesota summer day when the temps are in the 80s. Exchanging some time was a nice way to take a breather between walking a handful of downtown blocks and the Mississippi River greenbelts and bridges.    Inside this Starbuck's has a large footprint. There are a sundry of seating arrangements including large tables, bar stool, and sofas. The abundance of seating is under a warehouse style ceiling. Under the warehouse seating are speakers playing the tunes of Starbuck's radio. Unless I get amnesia my mind will always acquaint the late 1970s 10cc song "I'm Not In Love" with this location. It is a sad song so I am happy that my mind overlyacquaints this Starbuck's with the Mississippi River.   A phenomenally good Starbuck's is an environment that is so relaxing that it can create conversations with strangers. Seated at a large round table overlooking the Federal Reserve Bank and Hennipen Avenue Bridge, a friendly man from the North Loop District working off his laptop started talking to us. He gave us helpful tips on Minneapolis. With our gadgets sharing the same outlet we shared a quality conversation over quality coffee. This leads to the point that this Starbuck's is suitable for working. This leads to another point. It is a third place in the North Loop District where people go to spend time. Now if this was a smaller and congested location like the one I reviewed in City Center, I doubt this conversation would of taken place.   Despite the fact that this is a phenomenally good Starbuck's, customers still need an access code to use the restroom. That restroom comes in very handy before the Mississippi River greenbelts and bridges.   The Hennipen Avenue Bridge Starbuck's to travel guide worthy. It is so close to the Mississippi that your warm beverage will still be hot by the time you reach the river. It is the only coffee shop that I am aware of in Minneapolis that overlooks a bridge and is across from the Mississippi River greenbelt. It is a phenomenally travel guide worthy Starbuck's that provides a uniquely uplifting experience near the shores of the Mississippi and streets of the North Loop. I think that the Green Mermaid would aggree. read more

Not my normal place to stop but due to an event nearby, I needed a spot to hang out to get some work done. The best part of my visit here is realizing that they have some free, dedicated off-street parking behind some large garage doors on the S 1st Street side of the building. I was able to grab a parking spot and it kind of went downhill from there. Starbucks is my favorite mass branded coffee in terms of taste profiles and availability so I am a loyalist. What I did not likes was the vibe of this shop. Perhaps I am part of the generation that is aging out but it seemed like it was full of a lot of entitled, rude hipsters that really spread out and kind of ruined the vibe for me. What is the vibe you ask? Here are some good examples: 1. There are 2, large format, round tables near the entry (each seat 5-6 people), obviously there for groups to get together at. Both were occupied by a single person that looked like they were having a yard sale out of their backpack with paper spread all over. Hogging space like that in a busy coffee house smells of impolite entitlement to me. 2. On the other side of the entrance, there are 2 built in L-shaped bench seating areas. If people sat like they are supposed to sit on a bench, the area could easily seat probably 8-10 people. Instead, there were 2 people in full supine recline on the bench, shoes all over the bench and all. I could have been at the beach. Really kind of gross when I realized that at some point, someone is going to come in and sit where these dirtbags were putting their shoes. Kind of equates to sitting down on a bathroom floor for me. 3. There were used napkins on the floor and on tables. Some tables had crumbs, cups and spills on them and clearly the tables were unoccupied. As I write this, I am watching the guy in front of me throw away someone's left over cup and having to go and get wet napkins to wipe off his seat and table. The staff were busy so really I understand that they may be delayed in cleaning up after people. I can forgive that. What I can't really forgive is the lack of common courtesy by the previous customers using that space. C'mon people, can you seriously not throw away your own trash and wipe up your own spills? I'm sort of wondering if I am at a zoo! All of the above suggests to me that this particular location is over-run by a crowd that must have not paid attention in kindergarten to lessons in common courtesy and has some extreme entitlement issues. I'm also not a fan that this type of behavior is tolerated by the staff. For me, I still love the coffee and the brand. But I will definitely be happier getting it at a different location. read more

I never leave reviews, ever. But I can't let this go anymore. I've come to this Starbucks so many times in the past two years. I usually try to avoid it if possible for the following reasons. First of all is the employee Pat. Pat is always rude and the way he interacts with/towards customers (and coworkers) is nasty. Today, the card of person in front of me didn't work. I had walked in after they paid, so I didn't know, so Pat put his finger in my face and snapped "WAIT." He called for the woman whose card declined, but when she didn't respond and come back, Pat loudly muttered under his breath "for the love of god" and rather than saying "ma'am" or "miss," or even "excuse me," he simply yells "HEY!" When it came time for me to order, Pat literally mocked how I ordered a banana? That really struck me as odd and rude. Then there's this young man with long dark hair; I don't know his name, but he always seems like he hates his job, his coworkers, and the customers. He's extremely careless, seems very annoyed and almost angry anytime anything is asked of him (I asked him for a straw today and he rolled his eyes and sighed, then slid the straw across the counter to me). The facility itself is nice. It's clean and looks nice, but the employees really bring the place down. I get not enjoying a job that pays you so poorly for all that you do; I've worked in retail for 8 years. But you shouldn't be taking that out on the members of the public that aren't doing anything wrong. I'm not leaving this review to get anyone in trouble; I'm simply leaving this review so people can make an informed decision on coming here or not, and to not get their hopes up too high. read more

I'm astonished by such disregard and disrespect from the manager here. I had been coming here for years and I assume they have gotten new staff within the last year or so. I have a signal service dog who was a regular at this store and have recently been harassed everytime I enter this store- being told there is staff with allergies or I need to use the mobile app and wait outside in the winter. Just completely disregarding my disability. I have left multiple times in tears. When I confronted the manger about it she said that to keep the service dog in the facility while there's an allergy goes against what Starbucks stands for with there employees and told me if I was nicer things would be different. She told me I might have a better experience at a different Starbucks... I'm in complete shock today that this is what we've come to in treatment of people with disabilities. Allergies and fear of dogs are not valid reasons for denying access or refusing service to people using service animals. People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be isolated from other patrons or treated less favorably than other patrons. It's simply the law and I'm saddened that unfortunately this location does not know or follow it. read more

This location is soooo dangerous for me- it's right on my walk to work! It's very clean and open, two walls are covered in windows so there is a lot of natural light. They also have unique seating areas- some comfy chairs, high tops, regular tables, stools, etc. I usually order through the app and pick it up, and I've never had any sort of issue or mistake. Sometimes it does take a little longer than the estimated time, but that's to be expected during prime times. The baristas are always friendly and knowledgable, ready to answer any question you have or make a suggestion. Of course, the prices and drink options are similar to any Minneapolis location. I love iced lattes with coconut milk and coffee Frappuccinos with coconut milk! Both amazing vegan options. read more

Not all starbucks are equal. The best ones I have been to has been in Aman, Jordan and the other was JHB South Africa. In USA New York was ok and at least I can say Minneapolis Starbucks is better than caribou. My fav starbucks is new shop on highway 169 Anderson. Not bad but I still think Vida ecafe and Seattle Coffee Company in South Africa is way better than Starbucks and any boutique coffee shop in my area is also better but starbucks bit their loyalty plan and drive through is second to none as far as coffee shops go. Also all the boutique coffee shops that I do like is pretty expensive and not close by. Starbucks loyalty program makes its attractive for me to use them anywhere I go which really is a benefit for me. I wish though starbucks would make their lattes more foamy and less milky. read more

The downtown Minneapolis coffee shop scene has changed dramatically since the Covid shut down. I am a Starbucks loyalist because of the consistency and the way the company treats their employees. The closest Starbucks to work closed so I was pushed to the 100 Hennepin location. In prior visits I had left with a sour feeling, especially as it pertained to employee attitude. Oh goodness how this place has changed. Even masked and distanced the place is so much warmer and welcoming. Although they only have eyes to go on the partners work hard to remember you and welcome you by name. The food and beverage comes up fast and served with a smile. It is a gorgeous setting with a spectacular view of the Hennepin Ave bridge. There's free off street parking which means when the in cafe seating reopens it will be a great place for a downtown person to meet anyone for a work or friendly coffee. I am told by one of the employees that their new manager, who moved from another downtown location, is largely responsible for the improvements.. Congrats to her and her great team. read more

Slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. While one girl makes the million beverages, three people stand around and wash walls and chat. We order 10-15 minutes in advance, always, and still end up waiting 10-15 minutes longer than expected. Try somewhere local if you're looking for a downtown or northloop vibe. read more

Consistently the slowest and rudest staff at a Starbucks. Ignore customers in lines and wander around the store talking to people seated. Only one person works the bar even in the morning and they move slow so drinks take 5-10 minutes each. Even when I order 10-15 minutes ahead of time on the app I'm still left waiting. And they don't even make drinks properly. I went a few times since it's a convenient location hoping it wasn't a consistent problem but it is. Done going here. Recommend avoiding. read more

It seems like new Starbucks have been popping up a lot in Minneapolis. I love the interior of this location! It's cozy and spacious for getting work done. Lots of natural light. The service was great, and baristas are friendly. There is a bathroom code to get into the bathrooms, which prob help keeps em clean. City metered parking, is a downside of this location. read more

The evening manager was extremely rude and needs to work on her customer skills! I ordered Christmas Blend pour-over, but they didn't happen to have an open bag at the time. There was a large stock of Christmas Blend on the floor for sale, but she would not open a bag and make me a pour-over. Nice location, but too open and flooded with light. The ceilings are 20 ft, and the ground-to-ceiling windows run two full sides of the space, with no tinting. When I'm in a coffee shop looking at my iPad, I want controlled and cozy lighting. There are screens for the windows but they are never drawn. The space is a little too "open". No real areas of semi-privacy or nooks. I guess Starbucks is not in the business of encouraging campers, but the space could use some cozying up. read more

Came here on my first trip to Mnpls and loved the area! Ended up moving a few blocks away and come back regularly! Everyone is so nice (love Gary!)...
