Definitely not as aesthetic of a spot as other Twin Cities coffeeshops and bakeries, but you probably aren't headed there for the decor. What the space lacks in visual appeal, it more than makes up on in taste! Isles Bun is one of my go-to spots, especially if I am walking around one of the lakes. I've been coming here for years. The puppy dog tails are the best. They're the perfect size if you want something smaller than a full cinnamon roll but still just as good. Get here early because you want the fresh ones, I had one that was pretty dry and it wasn't great. The biggest downside is the line. Then you'll see pans of humongous cinnamon rolls behind the glass. You can definitely split one between multiple people. Visited 7/14/25. Dang this place is good. My sister and I biked there and these hit the spot after a long-ish ride. Lighter and fluffier than I would have normally expected. I got a caramel iced latte as the barista shared that they make their caramel in house, so how could I refuse! I don't know if I agree that this place is worth the line, at least for coffee - especially with uncommon grounds right around the corner - but it's certainly a cute spot and the staff are absolutely lovely.
