One of the biggest issue with this location is location. It is really hard to get intimate and out of, especially if the drive through line is long and the parking lot is small. It also always seems to have issues. one time I visited, they couldn't make any hot drinks. another time, they could only take cash. Although even with seemingly regular issues, the staff rolled with the punches , did their best and are always friendly and courteous to customers. Usually a quick order through the Starbucks app which is highly recommended to receive 2x the rewards as opposed to using cash or card in the store. Gift cards are easy to load to your account to still receive reward perks. In addition a free beverage for you on your birthday. Yaay! Love the sessional drinks, especially the PSL and Caramel Praline. The food is convenient and consistent. I usually order the Bacon Gouda & Egg Sandwich. The Double Smoked Bacon Cheddar & Egg Sandwich is also another tasty breakfast option. I went to this store this past week and placed a mobile order in the drive thru. I ordered a tea and pumpkin bread and when I pulled out of the drive thru I noticed they gave me the wrong tea. I was going to let it go till I opened my pumpkin bread and saw there was a long black hair in the bag with my bread. Went inside to get it fixed and there was no sense of urgency for my stuff to get remade as I stood there for another 15 minutes. In and out for a triple venti latte while my son was at soccer practice nearby. A long drive thru line convinced me to walk in and order. Clean and covid aware. Friendly staff and my drink was done right. Even got a big bag of free grounds for my next door neighbor that's always asking me to save my coffee grounds at home for her garden (kale and tomatoes with a hint of Sumatra coming up!). I can't imagine why anyone goes to this location with its gawd-awful parking and drive thru situation. The way the drive thru wraps around the building and blocks traffic, if you do happen to make the mistake of parking and trying to run in for coffee, you'll be lucky if you can back out of your spot since the line of cars in the drive thru will block you in. So first off, the lady was nice, a little too nice. We got three drinks and two shots of espresso. I asked for a surprise me drink. Yunno I wanted to spice up life a little bit. ONLY COME HERE IF YOU HAVE 30+ MINUTES TO SPARE. I frequent enough Starbucks to know when one is running efficiently and when one needs to have a training day. This location needs a training day. 5 people behind the counter and it still takes 20-25 mins to get a drink. The one barista, Claire I believe, she seems lost as if she's been thrown to the wolves on her 1day. They should have more than one person doing mobile orders because there's seems to be more of those then cafe orders. The lady with the headset seems to just being watching the ship sink as she can clearly see we are standing here waiting for our drinks. Instead of helping out she chooses to walk back and forth and converse with employees that appear to not even be on the clock yet. If she's supervision or a team lead of sorts, she is failing. A leader steps up and helps smooth the links. They also don't call the names loud enough to hear over the music. Put some bass in your voice ladies. As someone coming from California, this team would not last over there. There is a lack of hustle that is astounding. The only effective worker I see is Sam. Give her a raise please. Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I walked in, there was NO ONE in line. Stood at the counter for 30 seconds before any staff even looked at me (which is fine I figured they were busy). Finally someone came up to me and said it was going to be a 25 min wait for anything. I was honestly confused because I was looking at 6 employees basically standing around doing nothing behind the counter and there was not one person in line waiting to order ahead of me. There was a few people waiting inside for their drinks but the wait time they told me made no sense for the amount of staff and lack of customers. I don't always drink Starbucks Coffee, but when I do -- I drink Starbucks Reserve. I generally don't care for a Pike Roast or Sumatra from Starbucks out of a regular coffee machine. However, I've recently found that there are a few tricks to really getting a great cup of joe. One is that Reserve coffee is the bomb.com. It's single-sourced super smooth. It's got a totally different taste to it and will probably change how you think about coffee forever. The other is that a fancy Clover machine makes the coffee even better. Monroeville Starbucks moved, and what a disaster it is. The understood reason for the move was to get a location that could have a drive-thru, so it has been said by the workers there. Well they did that and now it is, smaller, slower and a traffic nightmare. Inside the store is chaos, long lines, long waits. Outside the drive thru is out on to the road, there is practically no where to park, traffic flow is dangerous trying to get into and out of the extremely small lot which is also shared by another business in the same building who is reserving many of the few parking slots for their own customers. People have to park across the street in other business spots, or in the next door NTB. Just a complete disaster in planning and design. Monroeville planning commission how could you allow this disaster to be built. Starbucks how could you done any research that this would be a business and customer friendly location and design. From what was a great location in the Miracle Mile Center which was a larger center of natural people gathering with a larger interior and with great ease of parking and access, to this dysfunctional architectural design improvement. What a shame it is has come to this. I know many people who avoid this, and all the neighboring business are complaining. read more

The staff in here have been unusually friendly compared to other Starbucks in the immediate area. The parking sucks over here because the mattress place takes up prime spots. Also, sometimes the drive thru is so backed up that it is difficult to get out. The patrons here are less self-aware and sometimes rude compared to other Starbucks in the area. This is a very entertaining visit to my local Starbucks after a busy day of travel. There is this boxer guy with 2 black eyes and various face lacerations talking on the cell phone VERY LOUDLY while in line and after he got his coffee. Dropping f-bombs. Talking to his boxer buddy QUITE LOUDLY about the various problems of life, not getting paid by promoter, waiting too long for doctor, lack of sleep, getting drug tested and various other boxing related issues. He is now pacing back and forth while talking AT A HIGH VOLUME while various workers and coffee drinkers roll their eyes and smirk. I was contemplating taking a quick picture or video to document this experience but then decided against the idea - perhaps I would end up being the other guy at SBUX with 2 black eyes. YO ADRIAN! I understand the specialty drinks on occasion, but for someone who likes a good cup of black coffee on the go, Starbucks isn't your place. I've yet to have a cup of coffee that didn't taste burnt. This starbucks was recently renovated and now holds the coveted Clover brewing machine. I HIGHLY recommend trying a clover brewed coffee, mind blowing. The inside is very modern/industrial now and there is plenty of single seating or even a community style bar/table. Pretty cool. read more
