Avoid this Starbucks if you can. They are nasty and slam the drive thru window in your face. Being understaffed doesn't equal to being rude. They also had the lobby closed and since I already paid for my mobile order was forced to wait in the long drive thru line which made me late. I love Starbucks. I have been going to Starbucks for years and I spend a lot of money there as well. For the last 3 visits to Starbucks I have placed mobile orders through the app. And each time I order my coffee and a Ham and Cheese Croissant the app doesn't state that they are sold out. So I assume they have it. Every time I get to the window to my surprise they do boy and they offer me a refund or something else. If I wanted something else I would have ordered it but since I don't I choose the refund. I think this store locations should have more supply of this breakfast sandwich since it seems to be very popular and they should work on having the app updated so People will not believe that this item is available. Walked in for coffee and was not greeted when ordering. I said hello first then paused to see if I would get a hello back and didn't. The gentleman, Damien (to be exact) stared at me and so I gave my order. I said "Grande coffee frappacino with whip cream." Then received my drink from the person who took my order and there was no whip cream. I asked if he could put whip cream and so he took my drink back then talked back saying, "When I asked if you wanted whip cream you said no." There is garbage all around the outside, they throw the garbage bags from inside just outside the door for you to gaze at in the drive up line, and the coffee here is always so so. I feel I wasted my money here. It's too bad. I'll just keep walking into target around the corner and get my coffee there or getting McDonald's drive thru coffee. read more

I usually go to this Starbucks location but when I went this morning they were out of everything. I've had this problem with this location as it is very obviously not restocked often enough. My issue though is not with the fact that they were out of everything. My issue is with the way I was treated by the girl, Hannah, when they were out of the things I wanted. She was extremely nasty and rude. While she may have been having a bad day, customers who have been nothing but nice should be treated better than that. read more

Civility and efficiency goes out the window when this location gets busy. My wife and I placed an order at the counter yesterday. Her drink was ready in minutes. Mine took over 20 minutes. They lose track of the sequence orders are placed and it is difficult to get anyone's attention to alert them to an issue. When I did I first get a blank stare by one barista and was later told by another barista that "we are busy". Orders placed after mine were being completed. Another customer was was in the same boat as me and was also expressing frustration with an incomplete order. No exaggeration 20 minutes later and after speaking to a barista who claimed to be a manager I was finally wordlessly handed my drink by the so called manager. came into the establishment, not expecting anything spectacular and received just this. This starbucks is relatively small compared to other SB, probably around ~ 600 square ft. I ordered a iced tall caramel machiato, while my gf ordered a lemon pound cake and small coffee. while our coffee were mediocre (as expected), the service was atrocious, the staff were not attentive at all, chatting away about their personal lives, totally disinterested in the customers, my gf had to ask for her pound cake twice! when we were the only two customers in the whole place! read more

This is quite possibly one of the worst Starbucks in the area. The workers are always messing up my orders. Today I asked for a large coffee with cream and sugar. Got home to find out that they gave me a black coffee. Another incident that really made me wonder why I ever even come to this Starbucks, was when I asked them for a medium green tea... and they put THREE green tea bags in the medium cup and OVERFLOWED the cup so that when I went to take a sip the lid fell off and half of the boiling water fell all over my thighs. Starbucks in Newburgh has been disappointing for the past five months I have been going. I returned to see if something changes unfortunately it gets worse. In the beginning it was only going and not finding what is advertised. Then the staff has gone down in service quality. Today I walk in with my husband and Carlos was at the register looks at us and starts talking to the blond that is mopping the floor (sorry she had no name tag) then continue on the register and walked away. There was no acknowledgment that we were there. No welcome nor how may I help you. When we decide to leave the blond asks what will you have/like? This is not what I expect when i am paying more than five dollars for each coffee. Some changes need to happen for this place to be what it was. The workers need people skills. Maybe some extra trainings on how to work with people and make a store better. read more

Two things I have yet to see at this Starbucks: a genuine smile or a welcoming hello. Often times I can stand at the register without being acknowledged or given any kind of any eye contact. Went in for a quick latia, order and then hen grabbed lunch found the servers to be not rude but not friendly. Which is surprising because the Fishkill, Poughkeepsie, locations are all very nice and helpful. Great location, clean, stocked &, from what I've seen, a fantastic group of people behind the counter. The staff has been helpful and kind to me and my 3 children on each visit. During the Holidays, I was impressed to see the guy manning the drive through window doing a funny Holiday trivia game with the customers. He and the rest of the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their job serving customers, making it an enjoyable stop on my busy day. Then there was today, when I noticed that I had left behind my, paid for, ground pound of Pike Place 3 days ago, I called expecting a "sorry! no sign of it" but instead got "we've got it! it was put aside and is waiting for you." My husband ordered a large iced coffee and a brownie after using their restroom. The majority if the coffee ended up in a trash can at Quick Chek in Middletown because he said it was sour and nasty. The staffs are usually nice, did get into a problem with refilling my tea before, but it seems to me many starbucks' staffs don't know their policy of refills; it says on their website "regardless of previous purchase".
