When I came for a cup of cold foam for my pups last meal, I was nervous to make such a strange request and a bit overwhelmed in general. I could barely get the request out without crying but the cashier was so kind. She made me a big batch in an oatmeal bowl which was the perfect for for my girls snout. She was not eating well in the end but loved cold foam and it made her so happy. I was too sad to thank the barista as much as I should have but I will never forget that bit of kindness on such a difficult day. read more

On 7/26/2025 At 8:15 am in the morning I was there with a client. In the middle of an appointment the store Manager "Jazzy" stopped my meeting and asked "how much longer will me and my client be there tables are for paying customers". I replied " I already made a purchase" and she walked away. At this time we were at the table for 10 minutes the store was empty with plenty available tables. As the manager Jazzy, this was rude, unnecessary and unprofessional. I frequently have meetings at Starbucks and this was the very first time I have had experienced this. I go by this Starbucks often and the sidewalk in front of the store always looks like people come out of the store and throw their drinks on the ground. There's always messy, sticky stuff and often cups, straws, and napkins on the sidewalk. Manager...could you have your closing staff include sweeping and washing down the sidewalk as part of their closing tasks? Your store would be so much more appealing. read more

New management. New employees. Rude women working behind the counter. Dirty restaurant, dirty floors, dirty counters, dirty bathroom, dirty tables and chairs. Teenagers are allowed to sit in large groups for hours on end. Other people would like to sit down, too. Very loud talking, loud music. Can't hear yourself think. Been going to Starbucks for ever. Always order my husbands coffee a grande mocha Frappuccino with a banana blended in, inside a venti cup. We do this bc we are being charged 2 for a banana and it adds volume. In the past we'd order a venti but they through away the remainder. So for the past 7 years we order it like this. NEVER had a problem at any Starbucks. I requested the extra and was told it was against Starbucks policy. The assistant manager pictured below, was extremely confrontational when questioned. Insisting that they can not for any reason give us a venti when we purchased a grande. I called 4 other Starbucks, ironically these other stores never heard of this said policy. Called the location, spoke to the manager she did apologize and comp us for the order. On another visit (mind you we've only been a handful maybe 4 of times bc this location is so bad). This morning 7 am line of 6 people very nice and efficient young lady behind the counter. Same assistant manager just standing back there on her cell phone, distracting another young women in glasses. Chatting like there are no patrons to be served. RIDICULOUS! How some people are employed?! It's just beyond me. Yes, yes in fact you are at work and are in no hurry, but the rest of the people in line need to still get to work. Show a little more regard. One individual should not be responsible to ring up, create beverages, and serve customers while there are 3 or more staff members on the clock. AND THIS FOLKS IS A MANAGER!?!? Don't worry honey the one attentive hardworking lady in the hijab will take care of us. I vote her to be your successor. Showed no frustration that she was doing the work of 3 people. I'm not a big coffee drinker but stop in here about once a month, usually to buy whole boxes of coffee for meetings. Eddie took my call this morning for a last minute coffee box order and set me up well with coffee, cream, sugar, cups etc all for $18 and ready on time. Two other baristas were friendly and speedy at pick-up so I made my meeting on time. Parking situation is bonkers -and there is typically a hearty line of customers and no empty seats- but that's nothing new for this crowded part of town. Like the outdoor seating. read more

Standard Starbucks experience, although a bit difficult to find seating. It was freezing outside at 6am, so patrons were quarantined to the tiny interior. Service was polite and impersonal, I got my coffee and muffin then sat down quietly. Delightfully uneventful service experience. read more

STAFF: I want to shout out the gentleman barista who was working this past Friday, 2/1, around noon. The gentleman customer in front of me in line wasn't making very nice or necessary comments about the fact that the exact type of coffee he wanted wasn't available, and was being pretty abrasive overall, but the barista was very calm, collected, and kind, for the most part -- I heard him say "so sorry for the inconvenience!" earnestly several times (though the barista also said, "if you'd like, you can come behind the counter and I'll give you my apron" definitely loud enough for the customer to hear... but I understand customer service can be very frustrating. So I'm not really sure how much I can fault the barista for that one). AMBIENCE: Obviously, Starbucks is reliable when it comes to WiFi and a comforting cup of coffee that you can take to-go once you're done. This is your average, no-frills, suburban downtown area Starbucks. There are about 5-8 tables, just like any regular 'Bucks. PARKING: I found this location because it was closest to where I was coming from, and parking was fairly easy to find on Lake Street, though most spots in the area have a 2-hour limit. This stinks if you're looking to stay in one spot for awhile, and is especially not fun when it's 10 degrees outside. Not Starbucks' fault, though! Just a note. :) Basically, if you need to go to Starbucks, this location will do what you need for it to do. Just, I beg, be nice to the staff here (and everywhere else, folks)! read more

I ordered an iced carmel macchiato with coconut milk and I was throughly disappointed. There was a very small amount of coffee in the drink and tasted purely of coconut milk. Horrible drink. Never had a "coffee" so little flavor. UPDATE: I came the next day and ordered a iced vanilla latte with almond milk and the drink I received was made mostly of almond milk! Upset and disappointed. When I come here there is always a 50/50 chance that I will be talked to with rudeness and grouchiness. There are some baristas here that will be very nice and friendly and some who will act like they hate there job and want to be rude. The information I like to get out of a Starbucks is: is there enough room in the cafe. It's a very large comfortable lounging area; in fact, people from Whole Foods next door came in to eat their sushi here without making a purchase which I do not agree with. There are comfortable lounging chairs, high top table and smaller tables as well as a counter top to sit and do your work while enjoying a cup of java. read more

I come to this Starbucks a lot because it's right by my school. The prices might not always be the best but the drinks usually are. Today I went here because I was waiting to get a manicure at the nail salon right by it. I asked for a hot chocolate, but the man making the drinks told me that if I got a peppermint hot chocolate instead, I could get another holiday drink for free. So I got a gingerbread latte as well as the peppermint hot chocolate. The guy made both drinks in under 30 seconds. The latte was probably the greatest drink I've ever had in my life. read more

Slowest service at a Starbuck ever. 6:20 in the AM, hardly a body in the store, so slow. 2:00 in the afternoon, so slow. Staff doesn't seem to care if people are waiting, customers are ignored. For sure don't go during a peak time, mobile order line is just as long as the register line. read more

I came here to get a drink and the cashier didn't ask for my name or anything like that so there was no name on the drink. It wasn't particularly busy so I assumed they would just yell out the drink or maybe get my name from the app. Instead, the employee handing out drinks just puts it on the counter and doesn't say a single word. Doesn't yell drink ready. Doesn't yell "I have a iced coffee with whatever!" She just leaves it there. Now I'm standing here with three other people and we're all just staring at the drink. We're not sure if she's going to come back and say a name, etc. everyone wants to be respectful of the drink because of the pandemic and everything like that, so no one knows what to do. I finally walk up to the drink and realized it's mine. I waited to ask her why she didn't say anything but she saw me looking at her and just rolled her eyes and walked away I refuse to walk back over until I left. Usually the service is decent at this location, but this girl ruined it all. Not only do I not understand how you can have a job with an attitude like that, I don't see how your managers and coworkers are also OK with it as well. read more

Drink quality is ok, service is AWFUL. Me and my coworkers have been going here for years, but as of lately, you have to plan for about 20-25 minutes to get a coffee. I don't know if it's new management, but there are usually 4 people behind the counter and the line DOES NOT MOVE. The employees seem to chat and waste time while everyone is watching and waiting in the line. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I always do a mobile order. I usually give it like 10 to 15 minutes notice, but I have yet to arrive there with it waiting for me to just walk in and pick up. First I must start out by saying that I generally enjoy Starbucks. Customers can enjoy a decent cup of coffee along with nice service almost anywhere in America and the world. Howard Schultz's vision helped turn Americans into coffee connoisseurs. Unfortunately this particular location is an example of poor management and unsupervised employees. is the worst Starbucks I've ever seen. Certainly a poor representation of the Starbucks chain. Due to it's convenience I've been going to this Starbucks for 10 years. Within the past 2 especially it has gone from reasonable to terrible. I will now need to consider other options. This location is poorly managed and confused. For example, this past Saturday morning there was a line out the door of customers waiting to get their coffee. Appallingly only one person was working the register. There was also one barista. 4 other employees were just standing around chatting or working at a snails pace performing seemingly non productive work completely while being oblivious to the long line waiting for coffee. None offered to help the obviously stressed cashier. I witnessed 3 customers walk out exasperated by the slowness. To make a long story short, it took me 20 minutes to get a simple Grande Pike and another 10 to get a multigrain bagel toasted. At one point the confused cashier spent nearly 5 minutes trying to find a bag for a customer while others were waiting. One customer told me she waited 45 minutes to get a Iced Americano! I suggest to anyone who has a bad experience with this Starbucks location to please call the corporate offices and complain. I'm certain that this is not the vision that Starbucks corporate or Howard Schultz envisioned. Howard would be appalled and likely close this location down. read more

When I say I will never, I absolutely mean I will never go to this Starbucks again. The customer service at this location is always horrible which is one of the reasons I hate coming to this Starbucks even though it's closest to my place of employment. I placed and Mobil order long before I arrived, and still had wait a long time inside of the store before I finally asked for a refund. Need to say it was others inside waiting for orders who was there when I walked into the location, needless to say others cancelled their orders and walked out in rage! This needs to be addressed. On weekends I walk my dog into Oak Park and stop here for coffee. I don't know, seems like a good place to pick up a cup of coffee. This is my favorite time of Starbuck's year because it's the only time they have pumpkin scones. I love all things pumpkin, except for pumpkin pie. Unless it 's warm and just out of the oven without whipped cream. Then it's ok. Or if it's pumpkin cheesecake pie. I like that. Have you ever had pumpkin soup? Delicious. Anywho...this is a fabulous location for walking your dog to, especially in warmer months when you can sit in their adorable nook/courtyard and call your mom while sipping coffee and feeding your dog some banana and scone crumbs. There is often a line in the morning. Weird, I thought I was the only person who enjoyed coffee in the morning. The employees here are not as diligent about putting out a water bowl for the pups as their sister-store employees up the street. They also never tell me how cute my dog is. I think it's because they have this giant wall in front of the counter where they work that prevents a proper view of the courtyard where I tie her, because no one who sees my dog can resist telling me how cute she is. Perhaps this is also why they neglect the water bowl. They should get rid of that wall. The bathroom here is larger than the area where you have to stand and wait for your coffee. read more
