I used to go to this Starbucks when we weren't allowed inside. Recently, I've been going inside and having my Latte and lemon loaf. It's a nice place. Inside wasn't very busy with just a few people sitting at the tables. The staff was friendly and efficient and both the dining area and bathroom were clean. It's definitely a good place to have coffee for a little break. Not too much in the way of Starbucks bling, though. A few different types of mugs and a few bags of coffee but other than that it was pretty bare. It's not the easiest Starbucks to get to mostly because of the way it's set back among the stores and RT 50. I don't think that deters anyone from going to it if they know it's there. The service was terrible, and the employee was rude at the drive-thru. She acted like my dad could not speak English and kept making him repeat what he said then proceeded to speak to him like he was a preschooler. We waited 30 minutes and never got our order and did not get a refund. Instead they directed us to call the customer service number when they could've easily given us a gift card for the refund. The people in the drive-thru got their orders within 5 minutes and she made us wait 30 only to walk out empty-handed due to a time-constraint. Terrible. read more

I ordered through the app for pick up. Three basic drinks. I arrived 10-15 minutes after placing the order. Two of my drinks were already made and waiting when I got there. I waited another 5-10 minutes for my third drink before I asked where It was. I was informed that the hot bar was backed up about 18 minutes. I waited 45 minutes for my third drink which had 1 expresso shot! Meanwhile the rest of my drinks had melted and were watered down. They were iced coffee and a frappechino.. if I wouldn't have asked at the 45 minutes I don't think my drink would have ever been made. So many people were waiting for the hot bar 45 minutes and more. One of the best starbies I've been to during my time. Ordered the matcha iced latte with sweet cream cold foam on top, wow. Let me tell you, exquisitely pleasant. Already recommending to my peers and not even half way done. Also I ordered a Gouda bacon egg and cheese, delectable! My friend mia Diana ordered the chai iced latte with cold foam and is busting out of the seams. Says "it is so good I love this place." Would 100% recommend to anyone. Avoid this one! My husband placed a mobile order for an acai refresher with light ice and extra strawberries and we sat to wait. After 15 minutes I went to check the rack but the order wasnt there. I politely asked the barista if she knew when our order would be out and she just rolled her eyes saying "yeah I'll get right on it". We waited another 15 minutes and I went up again to ask about the order to which she responded her "sticker machine wasnt working earlier"? Another ten minutes goes by and she throws the drink down, completely filled with ice, maybe 2 strawberries, a splash of juice. I understand making mistakes but it took nearly 40 minutes for a refresher and all of the baristas were so incredibly rude and didnt even get the order right in the end. read more

I'm a huge fan of Starbucks and go more than once a week. I was thrilled that their was a place near our hotel in Ocean City. The coffee was fine, didn't try the expresso drinks this time, but the service is RUDE! I ordered the group-sized coffee and a kid's apple juice for my son while we waited. I have ordered my son a kid's apple juice in probably dozens of Starbucks without a problem, but was charged for a tall juice (twice the price). I mentioned it nicely as I figured it was a mistake and was told they don't have kid's juice. When I pointed out the kid's juice on the menu above her, the barista got super annoyed and told me she would refund me THIS TIME but if I order it again I will be charged for a tall. It's not even the fact that she refused to give me something on their menu and would next time force me to order something more expensive, it annoyed me more that she was so rude about it. Interestingly, when the original guy came over to me with the group coffee container, he kind of hesitated like I was going to bite his head off, or wanted to apologize since the crazy lady was right behind the counter. What can you do? Unless you want to battle outlet shopping traffic and drive to Rehoboth, this is your only option for any Starbucks cravings while in OC. That being said, as a weekender I have been here numerous times. I've NEVER thought any of the staff was rude (if you want to know what "rude" is I can direct you to a few Starbucks locations in Baltimore). Whoever takes my order always inquires how my day is going and seems like he or she is genuinely interested. They've also made some nice recommendations on some of the coffee bean roasts that I probably wouldn't have tried on my own. I've also seen some very nasty customers come through here, and the staff always handles them with kindness and grace. We all know that these people can simply not be pleased and I probably would not be as patient toward them! My only gripe is the size of this Starbucks. I wish it was a tad larger with more seating so I could more easily bring my laptop or a book and find a seat to settle into for the morning or afternoon. But overall this is a decent Starbucks and really I am just happy that I can get my fix while I'm in town! read more

Yes, the parking lot was very full and there was a line to order, but that definitely comes with the territory. The baristas were friendly. I was in Ocean City for a few days working. My first day visiting this location was awesome and met my expectations for a typical Starbucks. The baristas here have a wealth of knowledge. When I have questions they go well beyond the average to explain the different types of coffee. Particularly the reserve roasts. Service is normally good. Sometimes they get backed up because there is no drive through at this location. Summer time is crazy here but during the off season there are on top of it. read more

My mother and I stopped into this Starbucks on a Sunday Night after shopping nearby. The store was clean and, overall pretty quiet. The staff were not overly friendly but quite approachable and polite. The reason for my 3 star review is more based on quality of service. They made both of our drinks incorrectly, my mother received a completely different drink than she ordered and I received the incorrect size of my drink. I am gold star member and this rarely happens but I did want to call it out. I don't believe it had anything to do with the barista, just the employee taking the order. We decided to keep our drinks instead of having them corrected because I prefer not to waste them. On busy days this particular Starbucks is VERY slow when going through drive thru. I have gone here multiple times through the week because I work in West OC and have waited for over 30 mins on busy days. I have noticed when they are packed the drinks aren't as good. When busy, the drinks are very inconsistent, I have gotten a frappe that is too strong on the coffee aspect, or too weak, or my tea will be too sweet or not too sweet. Sometimes they will forget the caramel drizzle or mocha drizzle to my frappes when they are busy. My gut feeling is that when they are busy they just tend to forget and are trying to rush orders out to pick up the pace and honestly I can see why, I would do the same. This is not my regular Starbucks that I go to everyday since I work in OC now, but I like to go to this one because I like how friendly they are even when they are packed with customers. My friend and I are driving home from ocean city and stopped to get some coffee for our 3 hour drive at 7:45pm. We are both Starbucks connoisseurs and frequent them all over.
