Jays Cafe did not disappoint. We tried two versions of the avocado toast and both were so good. Rob got the avocado toast on sourdough with bacon on top and it was full of flavor. The bread was toasted just right and held everything well without getting soggy. The avocado was fresh and generous, the tomato added a nice bright touch, and the seasoning on top gave it even more flavor. The bacon on top really pulled it all together and made each bite even better. I got the avocado toast on wheat with the bacon on the side and I loved it. The wheat bread gave it a hearty feel and the avocado was creamy and well seasoned. The tomatoes were fresh and the whole dish tasted light but still filling. The bacon on the side was cooked just right and paired perfectly with the toast. Everything looked fresh, tasted fresh, and felt like a breakfast worth talking about. My one recommendation would be to slice the toast to make it easier to eat, especially with all of those toppings. Jays Cafe gave us a simple meal done really well, and that is exactly what makes a place stand out. read more

This was a great spot for a coffee. The latter was delicious, I just did a hot latte with whole milk. I also got a bagel sandwich on a cinnamon bun bagel which was delicious, perfect mix of sweet and savory. Cafe was very clean, beautiful art, lots of tables. Would go back again! read more

Stopped by Jay's on a recent trip to OC. I'm reviewing based upon the breakfast sandwich I had but when I went to pick up my order, I saw that Jay's had so much more to offer that I can't wait to try next time. Great selection of gourmet coffee, pastries, dessert items, and just really clean, quaint interior if you're dining in. We ordered online but the staff were extremely friendly and courteous when we arrived. I ordered an everything bagel with cheddar, sausage and egg along with hash browns. Everything hit, toasted, cooked perfectly and the hash browns were great as well. Really elevated for a breakfast sandwich. I don't live in the area, but I know this will be a stop every time we're in town. I highly encourage you to give them a try next time you're in OC. read more

Stopped by here to grab a quick breakfast. I got the sausage egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel and also got a large coffee! Everything was very delicious. Quick and easy online order for a carry out breakfast. My egg and cheese on an everything bagel was yummy, with lots of gooey cheese. The hash brown side was seasoned well, would have been perfect if a bit more crispy, but traveling with food may have been the problem there. Went here in the off season to try it. Didn't realize it shared space with Blu. Very large space and nice to do some work or just relax with your coffee. Very basic menu. No frills. When I ordered, the normal milk was whole milk, no skim milk offered. Just 2%, oat milk, or almond milk. The service was slow when we were the only ones in the shop. When I got my Americano, I waited about 15 minutes before taking a sip and it was still so hot a blistered the roof of my mouth. All that said, the coffee was high quality and smooth. My husband loved his cappuccino. My Americano was good once it cooled after about 45 minutes. I'd go back, but not out of my way for it. read more

Stopped in for coffee (wanted something other than the big chains). I got a cold brew and the fried chicken sandwich. I wasn't sure how good fried chicken would be in a coffee shop but I was very surprised with how tasty it was. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the coffee was excellent as well. The cafe was cozy with plenty of seating with good relaxing music playing in the background. If you're in OC and looking for coffee or a quick bite, give Jay's a try. read more

We stayed in OCMD for the weekend and visited this coffee shop daily after seeing high reviews. The coffee shop was clean and aesthetically pleasing with optimal seating and books/puzzles for kids. The coffee and food did not disappoint. Coffee was fresh, La colombe brew, with many options for syrups! I loved that they offer breakfast sandwiches with all types of bread options and lunch as well! (I got a crab cake right before leaving which was from a restaurant close by and it was so fresh!) The staff was friendly every morning even on the busy weekend days. It will be our go-to coffee spot upon returning next year! read more

Hello Fellow Yelpers! During our family vacation in Ocean City, I stopped frequently into Jay's Cafe for an iced latte, caramel sauce, oat milk, and a shot of espresso AND the cheese danish. Every visit was a success! The cafe has a chill ambiance for work, conversations, reading, a date, family time etc. it's a real nice vibe. The cafe is clean, spacious, and has more than just coffee options. FYI there are several pastry options too. The service was amazing-every time. An avid cafe hopper, I found Jay's to be worthy of 5/5 stars. Added bonus, they have a free-drink promotion coming up, so watch out for those! The location is 2 blocks from the beach, which is perfect for before or after a swim (I recommend before AND after). Although it's so close to the shore, Jay's isn't congested like most of the boardwalk coffee spots, and even if it were busy the interior is spacious and equipped to handle a high tide Food-wise, I tried a mocha, a latte, and the double chocolate scone. All amazing, fast, and reasonably priced, especially given the tourist prices in nearby stores. Not too strong or burnt, a reliable cup leaving little to gripe about. The staff was friendly and helpful, the drink and food selection was plentiful, and there's even parking in the rear with a back entrance for convenience. Best of all, they carry Liquid Death canned water (the best water brand) which is the easiest disposable water company to recycle and has upstanding values and crisp water. read more

I wish the bagel itself had a little more flavor, and I should've asked for sauce to dress it up further, but other than that, it was fine! To drink, I ordered a hot salted caramel latte. It wasn't bad, but it didn't have very much flavor. I couldn't even taste the salted caramel in it. Overall, the place has an open and clean vibe, and the food and drinks were fine, they both just could've used a little more flavor. Service is so friendly and quick. Everything made in house & sandwiches made by hand. Coffee was so tasty. I got a large vanilla iced latte with oat milk & cold foam on top and girl I'm so thankful we ventured out from our usual Starbucks or Dunkin on our end of summer OC trip. Great new and fresh coffee place to grab some breakfast before your day at the beach. We walked down a few blocks from our hotel to support a new oval business as opposed to spending money at the hotel Starbucks. Jays is located on the bayside and is in a brand new building shared by several other businesses. Walking in the place is very clean and bright and not a long line for a wait...yet, I'm sure when people learn about Jay's it'll get more of a breakfast crowd. They have several coffee and breakfast options to order at the counter my husband and I each got a cold brew coffee and we brought out own Yeti mugs which the employees happily poured our drinks into (a medium fit perfect with a bit of room for cream). We also got bagel breakfast sandwiches egg and your choice of cheese and meat, I was excited that pepper Jack cheese was an option, not a typical cheese you'll find for your egg and cheese. Coffee was a bit bitter for my taste but after some sugar I was able to really enjoy it. Our food also came out quickly and we ate it at a table inside. There is also an entire wall of refrigerators housing many different drinks both nonalcoholic and alcohol as well as some wine, snack and some Maryland themed souvenirs. I would 100% recommend coming to Jays for a quick breakfast, coffee and to stock up on snacks and drinks for the rest of the day! read more
