I've been to plenty of Starbucks, and this barista here with the cap (see photo) was very rude. The drink my aunt ordered at first wasn't like what she got at other Starbucks it was overly sweet and didn't have much matcha flavor. When she asked the person behind the bar why it was too sweet, he spoke to her in a very condescending manner. So she asked if she could get it made again, and they did, only for the second drink to have metal/foil pieces in it. When she brought this to their attention, he was very much like, "Oh well, I don't know what to tell you it's not us the blender is in one piece." I watched my aunt pull three pieces of foil out of her mouth. It was like he just wanted to double down that it couldn't be foil or their fault until another barista said it looked like the foil you pull off milk cartons. Once they all collectively agreed, he offered to make it again. At that point, she didn't want that drink because of the issues beforehand. So she ordered the mango dragonfruit, and he was still condescending because she didn't want it too sweet. The other baristas giggled because they knew his attitude, and you could tell he was annoyed and acting that way purposely. I was a barista for many years, so I get it. You can't make everyone happy, but as I sat and watched this barista's behavior, I felt it was very uncalled for, especially when there were foil pieces in our drink due to a mistake on his part. read more

Let me start off with saying the customer service was TERRIBLE. The workers were rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I went up to ask the team member who rang my order up to make a simple modification but I was met with attitude and smart mouthing for asking a simple question while she proceeded to laugh loudly in my face while other workers talked. Before heading out on a road trip, my friends and I stopped to grab some coffee and breakfast from the Tanger Outlet Starbucks. Like many other locations, the store was clean and welcoming. Our cashier, Rosa, was pleasant and engaging during placing our orders. There seemed to only be 3 people working behind the counter and they were able to accommodate my party of 7 along with the other guest that were coming in. Rosa was helpful and clear in her suggestions as we ordered. Her positive approach can be seen as a model of serving from the heart. I thoroughly enjoyed our interaction. There's a rule in PG County for supplies such as napkins and straws where you have to ask the employees for them. It seemed to add an extra strain to the already busy flow and they were not enthusiastic about having to stop to provide these things, so that's something to keep in mind while waiting for your order. It's a hit or miss with this Starbucks. When it's busy the service isn't that great but that's expected because the store gets so full. I've never had a wrong order from this Starbucks but I've had a few drinks here before where it did taste just like milk. But again sometimes there's nothing wrong and everythings normal so take that into consideration. read more

There are lots of negative reviews for this location but my experience has been quite the opposite and notably positive. My mobile order was accurate and came out promptly. And the man in the pic wearing the Santa hat deserves a raise! He was one of the most friendly, professional, and kind people I have ever met. He was taking customer service to another level. He was asking customers about their day, asking if everything was going well with order and even peoples families. He even congratulated a woman who was clearly pregnant when she walked in and you can tell it made her day! He clearly enjoys working her as do the other staff I've interacted with. Maybe they got the message from all the prior negative reviews or maybe this is a one off. But the feel is got coming here is that this is one of the better run Starbucks I've been too. read more

Unfortunately this is the closest Starbucks to me so I keep trying. Today I ordered ahead like I normally do. When I got there, it was busy as usual so I stood around waiting to be acknowledged to pick up my mobile order. In my mind, if a customer walks in and waits by the pickup counter, that means they are looking for their already placed order. When I realized I wasn't going to be acknowledged, I tried to get the barista's attention and got ignored. I ended up following her down the counter repeatedly saying excuse me before she deigned to pause, roll her eyes and acknowledge me. When I asked for my mobile order she proceeded to only give me half of it and I had to ask for the rest. I'm really not interested in giving my $$ to someone who doesn't want to be bothered. If I wanted to stand around a Starbucks, then I wouldn't bother to order ahead. I'm not sure why the barista was annoyed about me asking for my order, but lesson learned. From now on, I'll just drive more out of my way or just skip the Starbucks altogether. At least my drink was good though. read more

I came in here this morning for a quick cafe, because I arrived at the outlets too early, and most of the stores were still closed. I went for a holiday spice for the first time this year, and ordered the salted caramel mocha frappuccino. They serve this style of frappuccino only during the Autumn season. I walked in and there were a lot five other groups of people who were already waiting for their drink order. I was able to place my order quickly, and it didn't take them long to prepare my drink. They made this perfectly. I ended up spending the next half hour walking around with my cafe while waiting for a few of the stores to finally open. read more

What's there not to love at Starbucks? I'm a huge fan of this establishment and yet I still feel the need to review each store individually. My reviews aren't necessarily based on the drinks or food but rather the service. This Starbucks is located at the Tanger Mall outlet and it's pretty central to all the stores. I love strolling in on a nice day, grabbing my coffee and swiftly breezing by every store. The shop isn't as large as some of the stand alone Starbucks locations but it still have seating available, if you choose to take a break. The line does get long since it's in a good spot of the mall and sometimes it could get a bit annoying having someone standing right in front of you while you're sitting and trying to enjoy your drink/snack. The service isn't always the best. I always sense an unusual amount of attitude when trying to place my order and most of the employees here act like they just hate their job and don't want to be here. The line builds up pretty fast which causes a delay in getting your drink. The staff spend a lot of time giggling among themselves and that can get irritating when you've already been waiting for 5+ minutes for your drink order. I won't say don't go in here, because you should always grab your starbucks :) but I will say, that it's very important that you prepare yourself for attitude and long waits. read more

It's pretty rare that a starbucks deserves a 2-star review. First, the place is a bit dirty. The staff, in particular, the guy with the beard on register, has zero customer service skills. It's not a one-off -- every time I've seen this guy he's barely communicative, and doesn't listen to your order. I specifically and clearly stated my order, it still came out wrong. His overall demeanor is of someone being forced to work there. Finally, when I told them they made my drink wrong, the girl on bar just shrugged. I had low expectations and didn't expect much after the reviews I saw but they sure delivered. I ordered a tall caramel frap and it tasted delicious! I liked how they were quick and wasn't no time despite not having many hands working they got the job done quickly. The service was fast and friendly. This is one of the very limited food options @ Tanger and it shows :( The Starbucks is generally always packed and the baristas have a never ending list of drinks that need to be made ASAP. This leads to longer wait times. Also, folks generally leave trash on the tables and getting that cleaned up is a bigger challenge! I have often done the cleaning myself in order to avoid the delays in requesting an employee to clear out the table. Drinks, specially blended ones, are a hit or a miss - sometimes have too much ice leaving teh drink hard to sip, or have too little ice, thereby making it more like a latte than a frappuccino. I wish, Tanger has more food options to alleviate some of the load from this store. read more

I ordered a strawberry green tea infusion at 6:09pm knowing that they close at 7pm like the rest of the mall. I arrived at 6:15pm only to finally be acknowledged at 6:30pm, to then find out that they "don't have anymore of that tea." When I asked for something comparable, the response was "we're closing, we don't have any tea." I ordered and paid for this tea 30 minutes ago and you mean to tell me that his is your response?! I have let so much go when it comes to this Starbucks, from dumbing down my orders to switching to bottled beverages because I never know which barista I'll get and whether or not they'll follow the recipe guide or just give me hot brown water. It makes absolutely no sense why the Starbucks at MGM can get my drink right 100% of the time and this one across the street I take a gamble with EVERY SINGLE DAY! Customer service here is the worst. We are Hard of Hearing/Deaf and the cashier on duty today was horrible. Got mad because we were using ASL, gave us a terrible attitude, and kept making mean faces towards us. Very unaccommodating. We placed a mobile order and our drinks came out no problem but we waited for 20 minutes for our food order and never got anything. I ended up asking about it and they said they were out of the individual item. When I asked for a refund they refused to assist me when I didn't have the card on me that was used to purchase the order.
