The Misha's Coffee down by the water has some great balcony space to sip your coffee on a warm day. The downside is this place can become very crowded and chaotic in a small space. The coffees were fine. Staff were pleasant and the coffee arrived quickly.

Happy little place. Coffee was not as fresh if I hoped for. I come back and give it another try. Happy vibe. Patio on roof top.

This place popped out at me because it shares the name with my sweet tabby cat I lost last year. The cafe has a beautiful location near the water, and the rooftop seating gave a nice view of the park. It's a wonderful place to enjoy a hot or iced beverage. I had a London Fog Latte with oatmilk and really enjoyed it. They also had a delicious apple strudel, which was a nice vegan treat. The staff was nice and asked questions to make sure they got your order right. It was clean inside and out, I really enjoyed spending a little bit of my morning here.

I went to this coffee shop while I was down south visiting friends. They said that it was a popular shop loved by many. I got a tea latte while here and it didn't disappoint. My friend got a lemonade and said it was great too. It was a cute shop and the girl who helped me was so nice and helpful. The shop itself was very cute too. It was def worth checking out!

Stopped by Misha's and tried what I believe was the pecan sticky bun (we're calling it that ). It was really good, soft and flavorful. I do wish they had offered to warm it up because I think that would've taken it to the next level. I didn't think to ask until I sat down, but I feel like that small touch would've made a great treat even better. I also had the lavender fog latte and wow... 10/10. Smooth, floral, just the right amount of sweet. I was so inspired I'm now on a mission to recreate it at home! I sat upstairs by the window next to the rooftop, and the vibe was perfect! It was quiet, chill, and great for working. I got some business planning done and enjoyed the cozy setup. Only downside? The AC was directly on my back where I was sitting, though it may be a plus for some haha. There's only one bathroom stall, so a bit of a line forms when it gets busy. Overall, I'd give it a 4/5. Great drinks, good food, solid atmosphere. Definitely planning to return! I want to try the strong espresso that everyone raves about!

It's always a bumber when coffee shops don't have mugs and unfortunately the coffee itself was just okay. I don't know if it's just in my mind but I think the plastic doesn't help the taste either. That being said, there is some great patio seating on the second floor and the staff seems pretty friendly. The wood design with big windows makes it feel warm and cozy as well.

Cute coffee spot for whatever your vibe is. If seeking a place to work, might be best to go upstairs where there the space is smaller and a bit quieter. As I was here in the winter, I didn't get to enjoy the rooftop space, but I hear it's a great area in the warmer weather and provides a nice water view.

Misha's Coffee was a great experience! I had a coffee and an apple pastry. The staff was kind and the roof top seating over looked some amazing scenery. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend.

Despite the lack of reviews, this coffee shop is packed. I guess people know about the awesome 2nd floor patio with waterfront views. Great way to relax with a cup of coffee. I got their Staff Recommendation of the Week: Cinnamon Hazelnut Latte, which I got a 20oz ($6.15) w Half & Half (+$0.80). It is on the pricey side for sure, maybe even more than Starbucks, but it sure is tasty.

I tell you BEST LATTE EVER! Special blend used in the espresso adds unique body & quality flavor TOO GOOD!
    Marcy M.

Kaleb is the best barista artist ever! Ask him to make your vanilla latte (hot or cold or sugar free) and prepared to be wowed with a caffeinated (or decaffeinated) blast of heaven! He's good! The espresso used at Misha's is also top notch and the coffee cake, strawberry cake, and PECAN STICKY BUNS toooo good! One complaint: why are so few sticky buns available on the days they're on the shelf. The store only receives 1-2 pecan sticky buns a few times a week despite the fact that the sticky buns are their BEST baked good offering (after that - the strawberry cake and the coffee cake tie for second best). Anyhoo, great staff, charming setting for dates, couples, or for singles, and a quaint indoor atmosphere that is sweetly classic! I hope this place - and the Misha's on King Street as well - continue to be so consistently superb bc Misha's is my FAVORITE Coffeehouse eatery ever!!! GOAT thus far!!! Facts! May Jesus Christ, thru His Virgin Mother Mary, bless the Misha's staff, patrons, admins, ALL families and us ALL! Amen

Not to mention, it felt so fairly-priced compared to most places in Old Town! We spent about $50 between the two of us, which included a 20% tip on our bill. Hard to beat in this area honestly, especially given the quality of the food and service. I look forward to coming back and am so glad to finally have an answer to "where do you recommend going for brunch in Old Town?" -- a question that I've historically struggled with when people asked!

We stopped into HomeGrown on King Street for breakfast while visiting Alexandria. First impressions…read morewere very positive--the restaurant is clean, modern, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and the menu had several items that sounded interesting. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the setting. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which came with eggs and breakfast potatoes. The meal itself was good, and I liked that the eggs were included since that's not always the case with biscuits and gravy. I also ordered a Bloody Mary that was advertised on the menu as being garnished with bacon, celery and a pickle spear. When it arrived, there was no bacon, celery or pickle spear, and I was told they were out. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to know before ordering. The biggest issue was service timing. There were four of us dining together, and three meals arrived while the fourth entrée didn't show up for about ten more minutes. Since nobody wanted to eat while one person sat without food, our meals cooled off while we waited. Ironically, the delayed meal was a BLT--which did have bacon on it and even a pickle spear.... I finished my first Bloody Mary and ordered a second. After waiting 15-20 minutes with no drink arriving, our check was brought to the table and I ended up canceling it. My wife's meal was the biggest disappointment. It was served with corn chips that were extremely stale, which really hurt the overall dish. HomeGrown has a lot of potential. The atmosphere is great, the staff was pleasant, and parts of the meal were enjoyable. However, between the service delays, missing menu items, stale chips, and drink issues, there is definitely room for improvement.

Either way I just found Lily's Chocolate & Coffee while venturing up and down King Street, and well with the help of Yelp because this was a plan to visit later in October. But, I decided my kiddos needed a treat. Located on a corner you walk into hues of pink, florals and the smell of chocolate and coffee. I became immediately distracted by the toppings and melted chocolate. But, when I snapped out of it, I was able to place my order. I opted for the Dubai chocolate inspiration over strawberries. If I remember correctly it was around $20 five or take. The cafe is so cute. It is small and if crowded be prepared to navigate that. There is bathrooms inside but, I do not know if it is for customers or not, as they were locked when we were there. The staff were just starting for the day. But they were helpful, kind and ready to roll. Once we received our order we sat down and dug right in. The strawberries were fresh, large and draped over in chocolate, pistachio cream and katifia. This is not my first time having Dubai chocolate or Dubai inspired chocolate. I thoroughly enjoy it over strawberries. There is just something about chocolate ad strawberries. Overall a wonderful place. I highly recommend visiting

The Coldstone reference is that employees "greet" people when they arrive and announce tips. They do it in a half-hearted manner like they are bothered. I'd be bothered too working hard and being forced to do inauthentic customer service. I had to wait 15 minutes for the coffee. I heard one of the employees apologizing to another customer. I would have appreciated him saying something like this to me, "we are shorthanded, can you wait 15 minutes for your coffee?" The barista was calling out customer names when she finished a drink. In my case, she left it in front of a guy who had a large order. It wasn't until he left that I waded over to find my unannounced coffee.
