This Starbucks has consistently been one of the most disappointing coffee shops I visit. Despite being a daily customer, my orders are frequently incorrect, service is slow, and the lines are often extremely long due to heavy visitor traffic. The manager knows me by name, which shows how often I visit, yet the ongoing staffing and service issues never seem to improve. It's frustrating to see the same problems day after day. Thankfully, new coffee shops have opened in the harbor, giving customers much better alternatives. That is why I will not spend my money in that Starbucks again. read more

I've been receiving such amazing customer service at various Starbucks recently! A week ago, I was introduced to the concept of a half and half, which turned out to be quite excellent. Armed with this new order, I went to this particular Starbucks. After I described the half and half concept to the cashier, she took it to the next level, making this version with hazelnut! [head explodes] It was delicious, though a wee bit on the lukewarm side once it got to me. This Starbucks is prolly as charming as some of the originals in Seattle, being right on the water. Another rare trip to National Harbor (3 years later from my previous review/post lol) - if you're here for an event, meeting or attending a conference at the beautiful Gaylord Hotel up the street, you'll be happy to know there's a tried-and-true Starbucks within a short walk of anywhere you are at the Harbor. Andddddd it's on Waterfront St with gorgeous water views. I was there on a Monday around lunchtime and there were 2 customers in the place - nice. I decided to try the new Summer Skies Refresher, light ice - and it did not disappoint. It's a dairy-based drink - come on, don't wimp out and do get it with full-fat whole milk. It IS so refreshing as its name implies. And on a sweltering summer day like it was that day - it was an amazing sip. Don't be afraid to get it with "light ice" - I hate when Starbucks fills the cup up full of ice then gives you 8 drips of drink. The light ice option is plenty cold and you actually get a decent amount of the drink - the way it should be. See my pic - got a Tall (Small). Service was friendly and fast - like the last time I was there - have never had a problem with service though admittedly both times I was there with no lines, no crowds. Walk up 1 block towards the Gaylord Hotel and you'll find a nice spot to view the water (and ferris wheel) - Instagrammable views for sure. See my vid. Decent Starbucks where the staff are friendly and enjoy working here. The pistachio latte didn't quite have that pistachio flavor to it and offered to fix it for me. A little too much foam for me, maybe 15% of the top was foam. read more

Words cannot explain how much I wanted to give this place a higher rating but one bad apple can definitely spoil the bunch but 2 bad apples... you're done! My husband and I visited National Harbor for the weekend. I was so happy to see a Starbucks so close to where we were staying at the time. I walked in and was greeted by Dior who was very kind, friendly and efficient. I ordered a Medicine Ball with extra honey and he made it to perfection. While we waited for my beverage, a young boy in his mom proceeded to come in at the exact time of closing. The door was unlocked so they were able to get in and there was the guy there named Chris who works there who immediately told them that he could not help them. The little boy left out and then came back and said can I just buy a hot tea and the guy aggressively told him no. I understand the business may close at 8 but a tea is just hot water. I didn't like the way they were treated but it was what it was. The next morning after my run, I went back to Starbucks. They were crowded too! Heck, they were crowded the night before. Maggie took my order. She was nice and bubbly. I asked for a Medicine Ball with extra honey. I specified I wanted honey packets and I watched Maggie tell Anna the barista who would make it. Sadly I saw Anna make my drink w honey syrup from a pump. I know the look and taste of Honey Pumps vs Honey Packets. Instead of making a big deal out of it, I took my drink and left. I watched Maggie tell Anna that I wanted honey packets so there was really nothing to dispute. Nevertheless, this Starbucks is at a great location and with the help of better customer service and really giving customers what they order... they should succeed. read more

Thought I would come here to pick up a quick coffee, but no, the line was extremely long. I have learned my lesson and will definitely order ahead of time. I think I waited 20 minutes to order and another 15 minutes for my order. I think I ordered something simple such as the vanilla sweet cream cold brew just so it would be quicker. That did not work. I suspect a lot of peoople coming from the Gaylord National Convention Center and other hotels. I would rather go here than to the Tanger Outlets as you have to park further to walk to that location. Overall, I enjoyed my drink, but will defintely order via the app so that I could save time. I think this is the longest I've ever had to wait for some coffee. I parked at the meter in front before 8am, so didn't need to pay, but that was probably the best thing that could have happened. read more

My latest visit to Starbucks was just ok,nothing to brag on,we pretty much came in to grab a quick bite before dinner,my wife ordered a refresher drink and told them no ice and they put ice in it anyway because they were so busy talking to one another and clearly didn't read the order ( big deal to me? No, but my wife is a different person she wants what she wants especially if she's paying money for it and I completely understand! They tried to tell her they would take the ice cubes out ( now mind you this is after they shook it up with the ice in it already. Instant water downed beverage! So my wife told them she didn't want it and got a refund for it. I got a nitro cold brew with cream, we also both ordered egg bites which were hot and delicious ( that's where the three stars originated from )! Whomever the manager was on May 28, 2023 (morning shift, a woman), did not have good service. I ordered my coffee via mobile app and had my boyfriend pick it up. I ordered a grande caramel latte, with extra caramel and salted caramel foam, which is roughly an extra $2. When my boyfriend brought it back to me at work, I did not taste any caramel and they did not put the salted caramel cold foam in my drink. The drink tasted like hot water. However, all of the above was printed on the sticker attached to my drink. My boyfriend offered to take it back for me (because I could not leave work; luckily I work 2 blocks from the Starbucks). When he goes to get the order remade they state they don't have any cold foam (so that means they didn't turn off that option on their site; fail number 1), then asks if they can remake it. How can you remake my order with no cold foam. I told my boyfriend to ask them to either return my money to my card or to give me a gift card. They have messed up my order before and usually give me a gift card. I even sent a copy of my receipt to my boyfriend to show the woman. She made him come back and retrieve my phone to get my refund. So all and all my boyfriend ended up going down their 3 times and I still don't have a coffee, which I really needed today. It's sad because I usually have great service here, and I frequent here often since I work 2 blocks away and live 4 blocks away (usually 2 times a week). read more

This Starbucks location was horrible. The one day we visited this location the young lady that waited on us was extremely rude and addressed us with a lot of attitude. We were glutton for punishment and went back the following day. They had friendlier staff that day. However their brew machine was not working and they could not brew coffee. But they remained open. Everyone in the store inquired why would they stay open when they could not provide coffee. Most of the customers left. Now I know why this location and most Starbucks locations have poor ratings. This morning I never got my mobile order and they were just making mobile orders that had been placed AN HOUR before. I came back 20 minutes later after having already waited 40 minutes and it still wasn't made. This Starbucks is conveniently located near the Gaylord Hotel & Convention Center. It's always been pretty busy each time I've gone but the staff is efficient and friendly. Service time is quick and I haven't had any issues with my drink order. Now of course, I haven't requested my usual customizations so there's that. But I feel the staff members could handle it. Ive never ordered food and the selection seems like it may be limited. The Harbor has many other options though. In terms of space, its not the largest Starbucks so I wouldn't plan on an extended visit (i.e. meeting or working). There are some seats though while you await your order. Overall, a 3.5 but rounding up since they managed the lines well during the times I've been. read more

This location seems understaffed and does not adhere to their published hours. My experience with them is limited to a single week, and in that time, I experienced 1) a rush they weren't prepared to handle, leading to very long wait times 2) opening an hour later than their published time. 3) Very long wait for a basic drink (just coffee) that should have been poured and handed to me while I was paying. In town with my kids and scoping out the waterfront area, we happened upon Starbucks. A tall cotton candy frappuccino for each of my twins, a grande classic hot chocolate for my oldest daughter and a venti Blonde cappuccino for me. Total order $17.39, including tax. Came to this location before going to an appointment, there was absolutely no one in line. I place and pay for my order then another customer walks in and places her order as well. She gets her order before me. The young lady behind the counter never starts my coffee order. Hands the woman that ordered after me her drink and I'm still standing there trying to figure out how is it that she got hers before mine and we ordered the same drink to be made to same way? The gentleman that took my order looks and let's the girl know that my drink was supposed to be made before the other woman's. She smirked and then acts as if she had no idea. I asked for my $6.10 to be refunded back because I no longer have a desire to do business. The young lady sees what has happened and thinks her giving me the drink for free would help. Not at all. I paid for a product that I expected to receive once it was my turn. I tried not to pull the race card but I'll say this a lot of brown people will choose white over brown simply because it's a kiss a.s.s. The young man taking my order was not very friendly and spoke to 2 other people in the middle of it. I must say that I definitely like this Starbucks better than the one at the MGM. The staff here is super friendly. I was greeted soon as I walked in. When I go to Starbucks I always want to try something different. I was telling the lady at the register (I forgot to get her name) that I wanted a tea that was sweet but not to sweet. She asked me did I like lemonade, I said yes. Then she stated would I prefer strawberry or peach. I stated peach, because I get strawberry in just about everything. Since I was looking for something different. Long story short, she recommended the peach citrus white tea infusion lemonade. I ordered a small because I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. It was so good! I literally went back and brought a larger size. She stated when I come back she was going to remember me, and that there is another she has in mind that I may like. This is a much smaller Starbucks than what I'm used to. I have gone twice already on this vacation stay and have had a good experience both times. Since it is so small it is loud and crowded.
