Needed to get quick egg bite order for allergy test across the street. No drive-thru is a con with an 11-month old, but not deal breaker. I brought baby in via carseat and waited 1st in line for nearly 5 minutes while the tall slim long-haired cashier took care of hot items and stock items (turning to look at me once saying "I'll be right with you"). OK, fine. Manager going back and forth taking stock to put an order in, meanwhile the line behind me was getting longer. Ordering was fine. There was no place to sit near the regular drop off area and the oven for hit food was by the mobile pick up counter, so I held/set carseat on a merch basket. Took forever to get the hot food, and all previous orders were being set at mobile counter. Then, she placed my order egg bites down, then grabbed it along with another order (previously set on that counter) all the way across the store to where you'd pick up your drink order. Called my name. As she was coming back, I asked her if she could bring my egg bite order to me so I didn't have to carry the baby all the way across the room and back. "NO problem!" Proceeded to wall over there, then grabbed an iced beverage and brought it to the mobile pick up counter and called someone else's name. Then back to doig hot food prep. Idk where this person's head was at this morning, but it wasn't fully focused at work and customer service. Stopped by this place in the afternoon to grab a quick bite (and a coffee) as I had my vehicle smog tested just around the corner. The place was pretty empty and there was a line of one (someone was in front of me). Decided to use the restroom. Came back a few minutes later and the cashier was still chatting with the same customer. Fortunately, a young lady stepped in and took my order from another terminal. She was very nice offering to make me a cup of the light brewed coffee even though it had passed the hours they served that coffee. I was also pleased to get one of their Chicken Quinoa Salad bowls. From my experience, SBs in this area frequently run out (or do not carry this product - one of my favorites). Anyway, it was a pleasant stop that made this a good afternoon. read more

Horrible customer service...I'm sorry but you aren't gods gift to the world. I ordered two cold brews with almond milk. There wasn't anyone in line in front of me, after 9 minutes my name was call, I walked up and saw a single beverage. I asked about the second, the gal looked past her 3 inch long eyelashes, rolled her eyes and then said 'yeah, it will be right out.' Now I'm at the counter waiting with a clear view of the prep area. I watch her pour the cold brew, then walk to the other counter and pour the cold foam topping...forgetting the almond milk. She slides the coffee my way which looks completely different from the other beverage. I casually ask 'would you mind putting a little almond milk in this one as well?' She responded with 'I did.' I then explained that I watched her make it and she didn't...she stood firm on her lie. Customer service at this location is as dead as her attitude and work ethic. read more

I go and go all day...today I skipped lunch because I didn't have time. Dropped by this location and ordered my favorite frappachino. As usual just what I needed! This particular shop has a friendly staff, it's clean, played music to my liking and it wasn't too crowded. Ironically my only complaint is the location; parking is not easy because the entire plaza is non standard in the way the other buildings are located. Ok usually I have a really great experience at this location. Today was absolutely horrible!!! The barista was rude and arrogant. I did a mobile order with two drinks, a venti iced caramel macchiato and a tall double chocolately chip frapp. Well I got my iced caramel macchiato quick then he slowly made the frap and left it in the blender while he put out 5 other drinks and I think he only grabbed it because he saw me getting irritated. Then he calls it out and doesn't give me a straw for it! Like really dude how do you expect this to be enjoyed. He gave a straw for the other drink. I won't be back to this location for a long time as long as this dude is working there! Totally horrible, my advice is if you can go to another coffee shop please do or if it has to be Starbucks then go to a different location! So I had to go back to this location and all I can say is that you need to double check a kids temperature hot chocolate. The baristas have now made my daughter's kids got chocolate too hot. This last time was made hotter than my latte! Very concerning since I personally know the manager and will be reaching out to him about this. read more

It's located in the center of the Orchard Supply Hardware shopping center & there's plenty of parking available. Employees are always friendly & courteous and you get your order pretty fast. I like that there is a sign posted telling people where to pick up their mobile orders. It always seems clean & organized when I go in. My only gripe is that no matter what time of day it is, what season it is or what the weather is like outside it's always hot inside. Today I went in with a light coat on & was instantly hot. I sat down waiting for my order (I had planned on being here for at least 25 to 30 minutes while my car was getting smogged in the same shopping center) & immediately had to take my coat off as it was hot. Not sure how they deal with it as I know had a light short sleeved shirt on & I was dying. But that's my only gripe otherwise it's all good. read more

Pit stop as we drove through town. Everything was just fine - as is Starbucks mojo - predictable. The store is laid out a little odd in that they have several big large tables but not many small ones for couples or small groups. The bathrooms were fine. It seemed like staff recognized the regulars which is always something I'd like if I were a regular. They should remodel this location and make it into a drive through. I give this Starbucks 5 Stars for being simply amazing. I'm there only once every 6 wks or so when visiting a friend in Penngrove. They are always friendly, always efficient and ALWAYS ON POINT with my Grande Latte, 3 shots, non-fat & no foam. Yesterday was markedly different, in a good way. It seemed like a whole new crew of cashiers & barista's, mostly young ladies, all SUPER EFFCIENT, all friendly, all BEAUTIFUL. Don't know any of their names on duty at about 11AM but my cashier had a HOLLYWOOD smile with beautiful eyes and so helpful as I wasn't quite sure about a friends drink request, but she was MOST intuitive and helpful. Who the heck says that a woman can't be President?? As a post script, when I'm in Boston on business trips, I also go to Cafe Nero, which I believe is a European coffee house chain with stores in select US cities. They are a close second to Starbucks. read more

I will keep it simple Service/Baristas: Incredibly welcoming, friendly, patient, accomodating, and helpful. Environment: Fairly spacious with a fair amount of plugins for your cell phone or computer. I like the setup of this place better most of the Starbucks in Petaluma. More tables to choose from. It's generally very clean too. The only thing that bothers me is the amount of flies that you can encounter here. That being said, I stopped in last week for a hot chocolate, and sat there for about fifteen minutes with no flies in sight, so maybe they fixed the problem. The bathroom is spacious and clean. Drinks: They do a fantastic job on the drinks. I have ordered peppermint mochas, frappacino's, zebra hot chocolate, peppermint hot chocolate, pumpkin spice latte, and probably more drinks. Every time I order I drink from here, they get it correct, and the drink is always good. Price: Your typical price for starbucks. Nothing crazy pricey, nothing crazy cheap. Is this a good place to study? Yes. I like studying here from time to time. Good place to meet up with friends too. read more

I get it, a Starbucks is just a Starbucks. Only I disagree. The difference is in the people. The manager that I always see there in the morning is amazing. I'm there pretty often as it is right down the street from my work, and the manager there always has a kind word to say to everyone. One time I was there and someone had sent their online order to a different Starbucks location on accident and they graciously made the order free of charge. This morning when I was there, the manager brought my heated up breakfast sandwich (I had run out of my breakfast sandwiches I normally bring from home) and asked if he could bring me a cup of ice water or anything to drink with it. I already had my water and coffee in the car so it wasn't necessary, but I found it very considerate and sweet that he thought about it. I find this Starbucks location to be a cut above because of the quality employees. read more

I enjoy a cup of HOT coffee in the early morning. Half of the time when I get my $2.60 cup of coffee its luke warm and taste old. By the time I add the cream it's room temperature. Then I have to go back to the counter and ask to see if they have a fresh pot. Ugg. It's so annoying. I order just a black coffee and waited about 20 minutes for it and there wasn't even that long of a line. However, most people insist on buying those blended drinks filled with sugar. I love Starbucks, I truly do. However, I do not love them when baristas can screw up on the EASIEST drink on the planet. Honestly, it is not that hard to grab an iced venti cup, put 8 pumps of vanilla, iced coffee to the bottom green line and milk to the top green line and top off with ice.* *THIS IS THE STANDARD WAY TO MAKE THIS DRINK. It is not, syrup, iced coffee, ice and then top off with milk (2% is standard unless otherwise stated.) My HUGEST pet peeve. You're probably thinking, "What a b*tch. WTF does she know?" Oh, I know. I was a Starbucks Veteran for 9 and a half years. So, I'm pretty sure I do know what I am talking about. Now, having this Starbucks close my work is super convenient and I should have faith when placing a mobile order, right? WRONG. For the past week, I have ordered the exact same drink, an iced venti, 8 pump vanilla iced coffee WITH MILK. Everytime I pick it up, the milk is missing. Seriously? Is it that hard to read a sticker? This morning, I placed a mobile order and happened to arrive before my drink was made. I stood at the hand-off plane and was closely watching a barista preparing my drink. I watched her pump the syrup, add the iced coffee and add ice. She placed a lid on my drink and said, "Amanda, I have your mobile order!" I looked at her, I looked at my drink. I picked it up, looked at the sticker and said, "this is supposed to have milk in it." She looked at me like I was stupid, and then looked my at drink and said, "Oh, I guess it does." with an attitude. She poured half my drink into the sink and topped it off with HALF AND HALF. She placed the drink in front of me and asked, "Is that okay?" I grabbed my drink and walked out. We called the manager to let her know what happened and she didn't seem to think that it's a big deal, no empathy what so ever didn't seem concerned about it...all she could say is "sorry about that, we have a fly problem because it's hot." For my job, I travel all over the bay area - from San Jose to the Oregon border to the coast---needless to say, I do visit a number of different Starbucks restaurants. However this one is by far, my favorite! The drinks are ALWAYS awesome!!!! Always nice and hot and always right! I have ordered drinks from other locations, and wonder what they did! But this one is perfect every time! The food is always fresh and the staff here is amazing! They are so friendly and nice! I love this Starbucks!!!!! I gave 2 stars and not 1 because there are some really good people who work there early morning however the night crew is terrible in my opinion. I work nights and I sometimes go to this location on my way to work. My main complaint is "what time do you actually close?". Online it says you are open until 8pm yet I have been there several times just after 7 pm and the door is locked. If it is actually open when I get there the workers are pretty much like whatever and just want to get the hell out of there so they hack everything out. They pretty much have the place all closed up almost 2 hours before it's listed closing time. But I never actually know because sometimes they are open after 7 and sometimes not. On Sunday even though on google maps it said they were open until 8 yet the guy told me they closed at 7. Then on a Thursday I got there at 7:15 and the door was locked yet the sign on the door said they were open until 730 pm. This has been an ongoing issue for me and I only go there for convenience but I think I'm going to have to switch locations. read more
