I used to work at a vendor store (versus corporate) and know the different level of training, care, and pressure you get. I order one of those drinks that makes average Starbucks customers roll their eyes and, unfortunately, every corporate store I've ever gone to so royally screws it up it isn't even remotely the same flavor. I just stopped by this Starbucks though, an exhausted traveller just coming through the airport, and just had my beverage made for me the same way I used to make it for myself, along with a delightful conversation & smiling faces. This is what you would expect from an airport Starbucks. If you have time and are waiting for boarding I'd say it might be worth waiting in line. They definitely were understaffed for the crazy morning crowed. We probably waited almost half an hour and at the end I didn't get what I had actually asked for. I definitely have experienced better, and hence the 2 stars. read more

Wish I never had to deal with these guys. 20 mins wait time to get my coffee that they forgot about after a 10 mins queue. And they don't apologize that they missed it. They seem to not care. This is a very unique Starbucks. I love the atmosphere for an airport or a regular location. The Wall to the left is decorated with burlap coffee bags and the back with a mural painting. Various tables, chairs and couches round out the experience. It is nicely decorated, comfy to relax in and has a good vibe. It is a quieter place to come in away from the hustle and bustle of the airport just steps outside. The drinks are standard and consistent. The service is meh. Not welcoming but not offensive either. In front of where you order is a standing table, at that table workers congregate so move farther in, put your feet up and take a load off. This in preparation for your cramped flight ahead. All in all a great location and I would seek it out if I were you. read more

Forced to look for food at Sky Harbor airport on connection home but 9:00 pm departure is now 12:10pm. I finally settle on Starbucks because their breakfast sandwich is steps above the other choices here. Got the bacon sandwich. Sat down to eat it with no problem in first bite. But the second bite was horrid. The whole egg portion was still COLD. It was quite gross. Took it up and they promptly said they'd do another right up. Well I got the replacement but now this one was over done. The bread was burnt making even the bacon inside hard as rock, the bread was like overdone toast not soft and flaky. And trying to enjoy this sandwich I once liked after that horrid cold bite and now the overdone bad overcompensation by the gal who tried to correct the problem. I don't think I am going to get dinner tonight and I don't think I can ever enjoy this Starbucks sandwich ever again. Sad. read more

Average Starbucks. They offer all the normal drinks (hot & cold), pastries & sandwiches, souvenir mugs/glasses. They accept cash, credit cards, and discount/coupons. There always seems to be a line, maybe because of the time of day I travel, but I can get through within 10 mins. My only gripe is the male/kid that seems to be preparing the drinks. Regardless of the tip I leave, the salutation I use, or the sincere Thank You I always leave, he never acknowledges customers. I thought maybe the first time he was having a bad day, but now after 20-something times, I just realize he should really work on his customer service. Yikes. I was at the Phoenix airport yesterday and stopped by this Starbucks in Terminal 4. They were moving really, really slow. I never know if a place is shorthanded so I like to give a benefit of the doubt. It was a typically decorated place with a lot of flyers sitting around drinking their coffee. The environment was pleasant and actually seemed like a much better place to hang out than the actual airport seating. I was mainly hungry so I bought a water and and a Chipotle Chicken sandwich. It was cold in the front refrigerated area. When I opened the sandwich and had a couple of bites something just did not taste right. I actually pulled the sandwich apart and was really grossed out. The piece of chicken on this sandwich was like a small chicken breast. But it had a weird red color through and through. I don't know what was going on but I spit out the bite in my mouth in to a napkin and threw it away. The date on the package was the day I was eating it so it should not have been "bad'. I have had a lot of meals at Starbucks and never experienced such a funky sandwich. Grossed me out that I had swallowed a bite. These things happen so I will move on but it was rough. read more

I travel out of this airport a lot, on occasion I'm early want to relax and have coffee. Today coffee was delist as always, but this location is usually hard to find a clean table or seating area, today NO CLEAN place available and it is as not busy. I would recommend Lola Coffee in terminal 4 if you want to sit and enjoy your coffee in a clean environment. read more

Went to the store in terminal A, service was not very good. Manager was talking loudly on cell phone while not doing anything. They wouldn't fill my travel mug and had to waste an additional paper cup to keep my hand from getting hot while pouring the coffee into my cup. Not impressed, not what I expect from Starbucks. read more

Not impressed. Stopped by to get some "pick me up" Café Americano about 7pm, before driving 2 hours to home. The coffee was WAY too strong, even a cup of water would not have diluted it to a decent flavor. More surprising however, was the uncleanliness of the entire place. I was shocked this was a Starbucks, not the norm. Behind counter noticed spills and trash on the floor, trash on quite a few of the bar/tables and underneath on floor. The countertop where one picks up their order was FILTHY - greasy stains and marks. It doesn't take much effort to wipe a surface clean. Get with the program! read more

Coffee was good, like any Starbucks location; clutter, garbage scattered across the tables, crumbs on tables. I sat for three hours and not one worker came by the empty tables to wipe them down. Busy location for sure but cleanliness is very important. read more

I was in Terminal 4 waiting for my nephew to arrive from Denver. The Starbucks was conveniently located right outside the security checkpoint so my nephew would be walking right past me. I decided to pickup a latte while I waited. The guy who took my order was friendly. It wasn't until I got my drink that I realized it was wrong. I went back to the barista and asked him to remake it. His response to me was "There is no reason to be rude. Whatever, I will remake it." Shocked by this accusation I lost interest in the coffee and immediately asked for a refund. Waiting 15 minutes for the manager to show up to process the refund only made matters worse. Apparently he was at another store in the airport and the cashier had to go get him. After getting my money back, declining a free gift card, and the managers offer to make my drink I left. I won't be stopping by when I drop my nephew off next weekend. read more
