This is a full-service, sit-down coffee shop. It's not just a drive-through like so many places these days. A comfortable spot to relax indoors with air conditioning, or you can choose outdoor seating at tables with umbrellas if you'd rather enjoy your coffee alfresco. Since it was a warm day, I ordered an iced coffee. The barista was friendly and prepared my medium roast with care. The star was definitely the quiche though which we got heated up, the crust was flaky and buttery while the egg was well seasoned with tomatoes and mozzarella sprinkled throughout. The baristas were really kind and were patient as we perused the menu. I found the drinks to be a bit on the pricier side, especially for modifications. I don't think this would be my everyday coffee shop but definitely plan to stop by as a treat for some more of their baked goods when I am in town.

The raspberry jam filled glazed donut was definitely my favorite! The glaze was perfectly crackly and sweet, and the donut itself was so fluffy and soft. I've had to wait for my beverage so people can finish their conversation about head injuries before finishing my drink. I hardly get greeted when she's not there. And they just seem to be a lot slower when she is not over there bringing life into the location. I've seen lines for the drive through literally wrap around the parking lot, with five or six people waiting inside for their mobile orders to be ready. When Amy is there, none of this happens. Tucked in the heart of Port Charlotte, discovering this place was a breath of fresh air as boba have been a staple back home. With a smaller, more intimate menu, it was easier to choose a drink as I always find myself overwhelmed from too many available options. I opted for one of my top 3 favorites which is taro smoothie with honey boba. The drink was tasty and creamy and the boba had a nice consistency. One of the girls from my class took a leap of faith towards the Vietnamese coffee as a first timer and loved her drink. The right amount of punch smoothed out by a blanket of condensed milk to ease the edge. Our drinks barely made it out the shop and I was close to ordering a second one. The place was an absolute vibe with a nice greenery backdrop and a decorative neon light for IG photos. The workers were really sweet and we had even met the owner of BobaBae who had been so genuine and kind. It was beautiful and inspiring to hear her passion and love for both boba and Florida. They have many pastries that just look divine, and not to mention some of the best macarons I've yet tried. It was such a sweet atmosphere and added on to that with how friendly the barista was. The coffee is delicious, well made and strong with the perfect bit of flavoring. I also tried one of their seasonal refresher drinks which had coconut milk, and either raspberry or strawberry and it was amazing. Really fruit in it and you could just tell it was fresh and had good ingredients in it. Starbucks refresher ain't got nothinggg on this. So dang good.
