Going into work late after doctor's appointment, I was on a quest for a very good cup of coffee. A co-worker who told me that there was a chain coffee shop on 41, and I was just about to pull into it but I remembered her also mentioning a small business owned coffee shop in the same area. So I passed the crowded coffee shop parking lot and pulled into the lot with the Bean on 41. It looks so cute and quaint from the outside and even cute and quaint on the inside. When I walked in there were several people seated around, and three women looking at the menu. The owner, who was taking the order, almost immediately acknowledged me, letting me know he would be with me as soon as he could. When it was finally my turn to place my order, I glanced at the menu and ordered a vanilla latte. He took his time, explaining how he recently took over the business, had a new water filtration system put in and only used natural ingredients. Several times throughout him making my latte, he came over to let me smell the espresso as it was brewing. He took the time to ask me questions to try to get to know me better. These are all things that I never have happened to me at Starbucks, even though one of their survey questionnaires for customer satisfaction state that they're supposed to do this. Now, here's this man, who just took over the business doing exactly what you're supposed to do to try to learn about your clientele. The Latte wasn't made an express lane, it was made with love. The man took the time to make it properly to make conversation and to make sure that I was happy with what I was paying for. If I'm ever in the Punta Gorda area again, I will definitely try to make it a point to stop by the Bean on 41 because I believe in supporting small businesses that actually care about their customers. Lotte was amazing, the service was amazing, and the price was about what you would pay at Starbucks. I would definitely pass on going to Starbucks to give this business my money. And I highly recommend anyone in the Punta Gorda area looking for a cute little coffee shop stop by The Bean on 41.

What a great atmosphere and one where we feel comfortable supporting our great President! Not only that, the coffee is superb and the food is delicious. I'm not sure how they can make an egg, cheese, sausage bagel taste so good, but they do. We also met a couple raving about the scrumptious brioche egg and bacon sandwich. The place was packed on our Saturday morning visit, but this community diner made us feel right at home. We had wonderful conversation with our fellow diners and truly enjoyed the entire experience. We'll be back.

Moldy Turkey Club ("yeast dust" isn't green)

Ordered lunch via DoorDash. Took a bite of one half of my sandwich before noticing this. Called the restaurant right away and no one answered. Ended up leaving a message to make them aware of the moldy bread... and to make sure no other patrons received a similar order. No response from the restaurant as of the time I'm writing this (5+ hours later).

In town for the week visiting family. Stumbled upon this place while looking for just coffee and a bite to eat for my family. Got the Uncle bobs egg mcwatson a fruit muffin for my son, ice coffee for my wife and coffee for myself. Didn't think anything of it until I bit into the egg McMuffin (mcwatson). Best I've ever had! Toasted, buttery, eggs slightly runny and with Canadian ham. The muffin was moist and fluffy with a slab of butter. Coffee was better than chain brand and service was super friendly and inviting. Would definitely be a regular if I lived in this area. Glad we found this gem.

Was looking for a bagel and coffee and google/yelp brought me here. If you are a Trump fan, this is your place. Mugs, posters, flags, tee shirts and other tchotchke for sale. Communal tables where you can discuss the latest in Trump news. But I didn't come here for politics, I just wanted a bagel and coffee. Coffee was good. Since I had it to stay, they gave me a nice mug to use, and I was able to get refills at my leisure. My everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese was good. The bacon was nice and thick, but it could have used an additional egg to give it more umph. As I was paying, the cashier asked about my tee shirt. I explained what it was about, and she graciously gave me a discount on my bill. And no, it wasn't a Trump tee shirt. read more

My daughter an I sopped in softer reading the reviews. Thought we'd I've it a try. Who doesn't like coffee. lol well, as soon as we walked inside all the conversation of chatter seemed to of stopped. All eyes were on us. I mean I never felt so outta place an unwelcomed. We both were dressed extremely well , clean and spoke to the group of people sitting as soon as you walk in this establishment. Still no welcome hello sit down we will be rite with you. It was none of this. I mean the air was stiff a the atmosphere was appalling. Support local, I don't care what you think or say. This place is real America. Real people getting together talking about faith family and God. Yes they talk politics but it's what's real. Yes it's a fan of a man, but what people don't see is that man stands up for you not like these other pansy wind hurts their feelings people. Take responsibility for your actions. Anyways they won best coffee in a liberal magazine and then when they found out it's a conservative coffee joint they rigged election and removed them. It's what they do rig stuff. read more

Great place to go if you own a red MAGA hat and don't want to wear a mask because it "takes away your freedom". Stopped in last week on a long drive down 41. Just had iced coffee, which was good enough....hard to make a bad iced coffee. But the vibe was very bad. A few "old" men congregated around a table, I felt they were shooting daggers at me for my BLM shirt. It was very obvious to be this is not an inclusive zone. I won't go back. I've heard Punta Gorda was a nice, historic place. These guys in their Trump hats can have their little space....please keep your hate and ugliness and unpatriotic thoughts to yourselves, though. Would not recommend to any of my friends who believe America is for everyone. Edited: owner replied with a completely libelous .... I sure was there, last Thursday. I stand by my review. I should add, a great place to hold a meeting (especially a Klan rally) and you won't catch Covid there (because it's a hoax). Smh. I will add that, because of my less than stellar review, the owner, Tom, has been harassing me with nasty messages. One more reason I won't recommend this place to anyone. I should have given it a no star rating. What a nasty man!! Edit: lol, Darnell from NY, who also left a 5star review for this place, just sent me a threatening kind of message regarding my one star rating. I find that "her" two photos are a bit, um, suspicious....Trump props and signs and a photo of the coffee shop. Cmon, Uncle Tom, can't you do better than that?? read more

We were hesitant since it was in a shopping mall but so happy we went inside. Super nice atmosphere, the owner was great as well as their customers. We had a great hour talking to everyone. The coffee locally roasted was amazing! I had 2 cups since it was soooo delicious and my hubby had a latte which he loved. Definitely add to your next coffee stop! read more

Wow! Is there even enough space for me to type every single positive that this place provides! The coffee is unbeatable! Regardless of where I am at in the country, I always crave the beans delicious coffee. The owner connects with his customers and makes every single customer feel at home. The best coffee you'll find in Punta Gorda. The Bean is my Saturday treat for a great latte and my daughter loves their pastries. Tom and his wife always give great customer service, if you're in the area I highly recommend stopping in. read more

Just a random stop for a coffee when I was visiting in FT Myers. Odd place seems more like a campaign headquarters for our former president trying to hang on. Former as in the last one the one who lost not only the election but over and over and over and over in court trying to change the outcome and will of Americans. Coffee was ok, nothing to right home to mom about but the atmosphere made me look elsewhere and I found much better in the area later in the week. Service a bit slow but understandable, after all they were in the middle of a stolen election conspiracy debate..lol I was waiting for Alex Jones to pop out of the bathroom. Crazy how gullible people can be and that some believe those BS. Got that coffee to go real quick. read more

This is a great coffee shop. The owners are wonderful people who serve a wonderful product. Don't pay the bad reviews any attention. They are mostly from people who aren't thrilled with the Pro-Trump signs and political views of this coffee house and are just trying to bring the business reviews down. If I could leave less than one star I would. Coffee was DISGUSTING and owners have an AWFUL attitude. Telling customers to go die in their sleep and calling them c**ts. Please don't shop here. Order an iced spiced chai latte and a cappuccino both with almond milk. The spiced chai was delicious but the cappuccino tasted burnt. The service was very friendly but slow (it wasnt that busy and it took 20 minutes to make two drinks) Also, the price for both our drinks was $11 (it was extra for almond milk) They were also preparing for a "birthday bash" so that may be why the service was slow. I might be back to this place one day. It's in a great location and it's very quaint. They even have outdoor seating which is a plus! read more

-atmosphere was nothing special, just a small little cafe with a few tables -only one person working there -5 to 10 minutes for coffee to be served and another 10 for food -$35 for coffee and food for 4 people -peppermint latte tasted medicinal -i got a double espresso but never had an espresso shot to compare to -food and coffee was fine but nothing all that great read more

My husband and are coffee snobs from Chicago and we squeezed in 2 visits during our short stay in FL. We split a french press on our first visit and it made for a great cup of coffee. On our second visit I ordered a latte. I'm super picky about my foam quality and this was a legit latte. Great little coffee shop! read more

I like that they have a regular menu as well as a specials menu, including the usual cocktails and some special cocktails. I ordered the conquest, which seemed like a twist on an old fashioned. They offered bread or focaccia bread, I declined. And heads up- bread service is not included. It's an up charge. Normally I don't care but I was having dessert, not bread. I had the halibut special. It was phenomenal. One of the guys from the kitchen dropped it off and asked if I needed anything'- I replied salt. I find that I need salt often at restaurants. They brought the salt out real fast! I had a bite and determined it didn't need any more salt- it was perfectly salted! Woohoo! Fantastic. I ate my whole dish and then I savored my cocktail. The bartender wasn't much for conversation , as she was very busy, alone, covering the entire bar and drinks for the whole restaurant. She did invite me to try dessert, and mentioned a coconut cream cake that was not on the menu. I agreed to it and it was heavenly. Seemed like cheesecake icing with fluffy layers of cake and subtle coconut flakes throughout. The chocolate ice cream was weird at first but then I realized it's like almond joy/ mounds - coconut and chocolate are often paired. The espresso crumble gave it a nice crunch and there was caramel all over the plate. Wow! I took the majority of the cake home. It was a large portion and indulgent. I paid my tab and finished my drink. I was not rushed. I would go back again. It's a bit pricey. The fish special was $58. The cocktail was $17 and the dessert was $16. So one person, who did not add on the bread service, was $91. It's expensive. I would emphasize you can probably get a seat at the bar if you can't get a reservation. Also- the entrance is hard to find. It's in the parking lot and not facing the main road. I got a little lost walking there. The signage is poor. I can't imagine going there the first time in the dark. So give yourself a couple extra minutes if it's your first time going there.

Decent coffee, a bit slow and a bit pricey. Definitely an older clientele, reminded me of a hospital coffee / gift shop. Update, Ol Tom likes to troll folks who don't give stellar reviews. I have neither the time nor interest to deal with a horrible POS owner who refuses to accept criticism. FU Tom Ol Tom STILL has tons of free time on his hands (apparently between magat and klan rallies). He certainly enjoys replying to every negative comment and rating left with his special brand of vitriol and stupidity. I was passing through town on a business trip for a place to stop. I usually like to go to local businesses over the chains like Starbucks and Dunkin'. This place was terrible. There was trump stuff all over the walls, fake displays of patriotism to make a quick buck. Not to mention the owner saying he was proud to be a deplorable person. Love Trump or not, This place is TRASHY. claims to be coffee shop but I didn't even see an espresso machine. Paid for 5 dollars for a small hot tea and didn't see the employee wash her hands after handling merch to make my drink. Shouldn't be advertised as a coffee shop if this unsanitary and is really just a white trash trump cave. read more

Saw this place a few months ago. Was honestly surprised to see they're still in business with everything we've heard. There's a much better coffee shop up 41 a bit closer to the water. read more

They have great breakfast sandwiches. The Dunkin Donuts across the street was so busy so I came here. I will skip the waste of even checking DD next time. Excellent food! read more
