Was looking for a bagel and coffee and google/yelp brought me here. If you are a Trump fan, this is your place. Mugs, posters, flags, tee shirts and other tchotchke for sale. Communal tables where you can discuss the latest in Trump news. But I didn't come here for politics, I just wanted a bagel and coffee. Coffee was good. Since I had it to stay, they gave me a nice mug to use, and I was able to get refills at my leisure. My everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese was good. The bacon was nice and thick, but it could have used an additional egg to give it more umph. As I was paying, the cashier asked about my tee shirt. I explained what it was about, and she graciously gave me a discount on my bill. And no, it wasn't a Trump tee shirt. read more

My daughter an I sopped in softer reading the reviews. Thought we'd I've it a try. Who doesn't like coffee. lol well, as soon as we walked inside all the conversation of chatter seemed to of stopped. All eyes were on us. I mean I never felt so outta place an unwelcomed. We both were dressed extremely well , clean and spoke to the group of people sitting as soon as you walk in this establishment. Going into work late after doctor's appointment, I was on a quest for a very good cup of coffee. A co-worker who told me that there was a chain coffee shop on 41, and I was just about to pull into it but I remembered her also mentioning a small business owned coffee shop in the same area. So I passed the crowded coffee shop parking lot and pulled into the lot with the Bean on 41. It looks so cute and quaint from the outside and even cute and quaint on the inside. When I walked in there were several people seated around, and three women looking at the menu. The owner, who was taking the order, almost immediately acknowledged me, letting me know he would be with me as soon as he could. When it was finally my turn to place my order, I glanced at the menu and ordered a vanilla latte. He took his time, explaining how he recently took over the business, had a new water filtration system put in and only used natural ingredients. Several times throughout him making my latte, he came over to let me smell the espresso as it was brewing. He took the time to ask me questions to try to get to know me better. These are all things that I never have happened to me at Starbucks, even though one of their survey questionnaires for customer satisfaction state that they're supposed to do this. Now, here's this man, who just took over the business doing exactly what you're supposed to do to try to learn about your clientele. The Latte wasn't made an express lane, it was made with love. The man took the time to make it properly to make conversation and to make sure that I was happy with what I was paying for. If I'm ever in the Punta Gorda area again, I will definitely try to make it a point to stop by the Bean on 41 because I believe in supporting small businesses that actually care about their customers. Lotte was amazing, the service was amazing, and the price was about what you would pay at Starbucks. I would definitely pass on going to Starbucks to give this business my money. And I highly recommend anyone in the Punta Gorda area looking for a cute little coffee shop stop by The Bean on 41. read more

What a great atmosphere and one where we feel comfortable supporting our great President! Not only that, the coffee is superb and the food is delicious. I'm not sure how they can make an egg, cheese, sausage bagel taste so good, but they do. We also met a couple raving about the scrumptious brioche egg and bacon sandwich. The place was packed on our Saturday morning visit, but this community diner made us feel right at home. We had wonderful conversation with our fellow diners and truly enjoyed the entire experience. Got the Uncle bobs egg mcwatson a fruit muffin for my son, ice coffee for my wife and coffee for myself. Didn't think anything of it until I bit into the egg McMuffin (mcwatson). Best I've ever had! Toasted, buttery, eggs slightly runny and with Canadian ham. The muffin was moist and fluffy with a slab of butter. Coffee was better than chain brand and service was super friendly and inviting. Great place to go if you own a red MAGA hat and don't want to wear a mask because it "takes away your freedom". Stopped in last week on a long drive down 41. Just had iced coffee, which was good enough....hard to make a bad iced coffee. But the vibe was very bad. A few "old" men congregated around a table, I felt they were shooting daggers at me for my BLM shirt. It was very obvious to be this is not an inclusive zone. I won't go back. I've heard Punta Gorda was a nice, historic place. These guys in their Trump hats can have their little space....please keep your hate and ugliness and unpatriotic thoughts to yourselves, though. Just a random stop for a coffee when I was visiting in FT Myers. Odd place seems more like a campaign headquarters for our former president trying to hang on. Former as in the last one the one who lost not only the election but over and over and over and over in court trying to change the outcome and will of Americans. Coffee was ok, nothing to right home to mom about but the atmosphere made me look elsewhere and I found much better in the area later in the week. Order an iced spiced chai latte and a cappuccino both with almond milk. The spiced chai was delicious but the cappuccino tasted burnt. The service was very friendly but slow (it wasnt that busy and it took 20 minutes to make two drinks) Also, the price for both our drinks was $11 (it was extra for almond milk) They were also preparing for a "birthday bash" so that may be why the service was slow.
