I was so excited to discover Swift & Finch yesterday, one of Rome's independent coffee shops, and so bummed to find out it was closed today (Sunday.) So heading out of town we had no other options but "good old" Starbucks which is hit and miss (depending on which location you visit no matter where you are in the world.) I am pleased to report this location was top notch for us! Riley at the register was so great, made us feel so welcome. Nothing felt rushed and no corners felt cut. The barista called out my name and then double-checked to make sure she had pronounced it correctly. My latte was beautifully made, a perfect blend of properly steamed foam and milk (not a given at Starbucks, unfortunately.) Husband was also pleased with the foam on his almond milk latte. If they could duplicate this experience at all the Starbucks locations I'd be a lot happier with Starbucks the company. For now, this location rocks! read more

When it comes to distinguishing itself from the 99,848,853,293,134 (and on and on) other Starbucks in the world, this place is getting it right. The location is always pristine, the drinks are always prepared exactly as you order them, and basically every staff member is just as friendly as can be. I know it's all trendy to snub your nose at Char-bucks (hey, they DO over roast!) but I can't help it, I'm a fan. I *like* their bourgeois bohemian business model. I can't help it, I'm their target demographic. When they have a new flavored drink or dessert, I actually get bouncy. You should have seen this girl when they introduced REAL FOOD. It's even a nice place to kick back and relax with a book, homework, or someone you want to chat up. Now that the weather is getting nicer and they're making the patio smoke free, I anticipate spending more time there! read more

Coffee is awful- their drip machine is obviously not cleaned on a regular basis. Coffee is bitter with an unpleasant aftertaste. Positive: the staff is very nice. read more

On the website it says they close at 11:30, I went at 9:30 and placed my order on the app. I had pre payed on the app but when I got there they had locked all of the doors. There was still 3 or 4 employees inside and they could have easily made my one drink I ordered but instead they told me I had to leave and contact Starbucks support if I wanted my money back. I wouldn't have a problem with this except for the fact that they were just standing around doing nothing. read more

Placed an order on the app so that I wouldn't have to wait in the huge drive-through line. When I arrived I found out the place was locked up and pick up orders have to be from the drive-through line as well. That is ridiculous! read more

This starbucks would be good if they would order enough inventory to last them from week to week. They know they have a high volume of customers, but won't order enough inventory to make each and every drink the correct way. Take notice of their reviews within the last 10 months before having great expectations of your future visit. read more

This morning, this Starbucks was not on their game. I was 3 cars in line and it took forever to reach the window. When I received my coffee, I promptly paid and went on my way. As I got on the highway, I took a sip of my coffee and it leaked all over my clothes. After investigation, I discovered that I had 2 cups, a loose lid and a completely full cup to the rim. Starbucks Rome? You can do better than this. Maybe I'll ty another coffee shop tomorrow. read more

I was sorely disappointed this morning after going through the drive thru. I ordered a turkey bacon breakfast sandwich & a white chocolate mocha. I got a dark roast coffee with a cold sandwich. I have loved the Rome Starbucks. I go there often to do homework. They make sure that your order comes out quickly and correctly. They are very friendly and kind. Once I had trouble in the drive through. I asked for a peppermint tea and it took quite a while for us to get to the mint majesty tea, which I didn't know the name of. In the end I got what I wanted and it was delicious. Also once the cup was broken and leaked all in my car. These were just two small experiences out of many, many good ones.
