Coffee is ok. Atmosphere lacks a bit for my taste. The sofa and chairs along with the table lamps look thrifted and not in a good way. The food is mediocre, bagel nothing special, the lemon poppy muffin topped with a pound of sugar was dry. Overpriced in my opinion. Friendly staff. I purchased a bag of espresso coffee beans, that was a home run! read more

Clean, bright, and spacious I've passed this place several times and am glad I finally made the time to stop today. I came with a friend and we each ordered a different flavor coffee cake and a drink. The coffee cake was very flavorful, but a tiny bit dry which didn't deter either of us from finishing. My iced lavender matcha latte was perfect. Lavender can be bitter some places, but not here. The drink was well balanced. My friend enjoyed her hot caramel latte as well. Working in Rome for the week and had an early call time. Luckily Lumina was open bright and early at 6am! Ample parking, fair prices for the size of the drinks. The coffee was tasty as well. Not to mention the customer service was fast and friendly. Great little spot in rome. Hope to be able to try some of the food soon as well. read more

We definitely didn't expect such GREAT coffee and beautiful location. We ordered the Classic breakfast sandwich, which was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try the Elevated breakfast sandwich... it has avocado! We also had an iced oatmilk mocha with one less pump of mocha, which was totally the right call. I have spent more $ on this coffee shop than I'd like to admit. When I moved to Rome as a student, it was by far my favorite coffee shop to study/snack/eat. Spacious. Clean. Well air-conditioned (lol). A lot of natural lighting. Good quality food & healthy options. And friendly staff. I preferred their lattes (especially their matcha) compared to the other local places. The atmosphere is perfect for studying, small meet ups, and business meetings. Lumina has a laid back arm with tons of seating options. They also have seating outside. I am always satisfied with with vanilla lattes or caramel fraps. The coffee is flavorsome and aromatic. This is one of the best places to go for coffee. I stood there for 7-8 minutes alone in a line, yet no one would take my order. Their employees kept doing their things, bugging around, and paying attention to the machine. No one ever spoke to me. Even, when a lady came behind me, the employee started to take her order instead of asking me which is ridiculous. It just broke my heart and hurt my emotions deeply. read more

Great first experience here at Lumina. The vibe inside is pleasant with lots of space and nice cute coffee shop feel. They make their own syrups and flavors. They have your typical coffee shop drinks. Iced coffee, frappe, smoothie, and food including sandwiches, bagels, and pastries. My first time here and I'll definitely be back. The inside is spacious and excellent for working remotely on a laptop or hanging with friends over coffee. Free WiFi is available, and for someone like myself who works virtually, this is a phenomenal alternative. The decor is open, airy, and flooded with natural light. It feels like the Pacific Northwest. Also, the staff here is exceptional! Extremely accommodating and courteous. There was actually a mistake made on my order (my sandwich was mistakenly combined with another order and delivered at the drive-thru, unbeknownst to me). I was credited with a gift card and another sandwich, on top of sincere apologies (hey, mistakes happen -- we're all human). The way this was handled was top notch. I actually felt bad for the guy because you could tell he was beating himself up over it. I was impressed at how well this was fixed. And yes, the California breakfast sandwich and chai tea were both delicious (the tea in particular is REALLY good -- I'm a hot tea addict so I can attest). Since I live nearby and work from home, I will certainly be back soon. read more

Visited Lumina in Rome, GA for the first time this past Wednesday. I'm a courier, so I don't live in Rome, but I do get calls to go down there, occasionally. I would see the Lumina building, and was curious, so I finally decided to stop. The drive through service was fine. I like to ask what the barista or window clerk would suggest when I'm new to a place. He didn't seem to have any real idea what to suggest but he was pleasant enough. I ordered and made my way to the window. He took my card and seemed to hold on to it for a while. He gave me my card back and the drink at about the same time. For the money, the coffee seemed pretty small. The taste was good, so nothing more on that, but when I checked my bank account, I was double charged. So, for a small coffee, I was charged $12.49. I've tried calling, but with no answer, I'm not sure what else to do. Pretty disappointed, all things considered read more

I love Emilee she always has a positive attitude!! She makes my mornings start off on a right foot, she knows my order too. I actually stopped coming due to the change of staff and mistakes being done multiple times. And nothing being done to fix. I try to come on weekends only now. I love the interior such a not so bush but cozy . Always clean. . I always get a vanilla latte sometimes caramel machiatto i can tell the great difference from any other coffeee company. Nice addition to Rome. Went by today for the first time and loved what I got. I got the California sandwich and a Caramel Macchiato. Sandwich was very tasty and a good size. Macchiato was smooth. I would say it's not bitter tasting like Starbucks. Employees were very nice and the place was clean. They had water pitchers with lemon and cucumber water for you to help yourself. I thought that was a very nice touch. To add props to them for offering paper straws! Looking forward to many more visits. Only complaint is the Menu lettering is small and you can't really see it from the counter. read more

The place is large with several kinds of seating with several places to plug laptops. They provide free WiFi and milk substitute ( almond milk). Also an array of other pastries like muffins and scones and croissants. Bagesl: Ok so for those that love Bagkes they have several kinds to choose from but The quality of the Bagel is not what you might expect but good enough to enjoy one. The price is not crazy either. Just wish they had a way to prevent all the flies from crawling all over them during the summer months. The glass is open on the employee side. Overall a great place to get a bite to eat and do some work on your computer. read more

It wasn't huge but it had a great variety of genres, and a lot of intriguing titles I hadn't heard of but sought to remember for later. The man working the register was a charm- he told us how Ellijay has their own tv production (which they were playing on an old school tv), a special Bigfoot podcast and more. Lastly, the coffee was, of course, delightful. I had a latte with a little bit of spice in it that was perfect to warm a person up in the cool early spring air when we were there. Had we known this would be such a cool stop I think we would have bargained even more time to just hang and enjoy the atmosphere. I think it could be a good place to sit and do work or read and there's lots of spaces to sit so it's not too loud.
