Love this store hate the drive thru. There are always two lines when there should be one and I think I get skipped every morning since nobody can follow the drive thru signs. This location is great. They are nice and helpful.I usually get a tall Pikes Blend coffee in a grand cup.I like a lot of cream in my coffee so I always ask for 1 size larger. Just to allow the room I need. It's a busy location because it is by a lot of shops. It's in the same plaza as TJ Max, Ross, Home depot, and Pier One. Even though it in a busy location they still get you on your way quickly inside and in the drive thru.It's clean inside and they play relaxing music. The wifi is free. If you go through my Yelp reviews, you will come to the conclusion that I spend lots of time in coffeeshops, especially Starbucks locations. You would be correct. As a medical student/physician I am, quite literally, a lifelong learner. Starbucks fits the bill for a place that offers both a conducive place to study as well as consistently strong enough coffee throughout its locations. In terms of places to get work done, this is one of my favorites in the area. It's located in the heart of the Tyrone area so if you need to run nearly any errand before or after spending some time at a coffeeshop, it is extremely convenient. Parking is not an issue either. Secondly, the openness of the cafe really helps let in lots of natural light which helps me focus. There are also lots of other people here getting work done so it feels like a productive atmosphere. There's a big table too with tons of outlets. Thirdly, the baristas here are all extremely kind and quick! This is a very busy location and I've never seen them lose their cool. They make working under pressure look like a breeze. Overall, this is probably my favorite Starbucks in Pinellas County. read more

I am always hesitant to write reviews for chain stores like Starbucks. There isn't anyone coming to a Starbucks who is checking a Yelp review first. Almost always, folks are headed to Starbucks because they need their legal fix of caffeine and know that Starbucks is a international consistent supplier. This Starbucks is no exception. The staff is fantastic, I have always had great service here, and well made drinks. I am a big fan of how Starbucks treats its staff (and have been for a very long time, they have treated several of my friends very well and earned my loyalty a long time ago). It is nice to arrive in a shop and feel welcomed and like the staff are happy to see you. But, the layout of this Starbucks leaves something to be desired. I like Starbucks as a workspace. It is usually a great place to zone out and focus on my task at hand and still be around people. All of the Starbucks around here seem to be moving towards a shared workspace model, with one large table with several chairs. This encourages co-working at the table, and leaves more room for lounge chairs so people can be social. There is a lack of open space, so they can't easily add more tables if they wanted to - so I guess they have done the best they can with with what they have to work. It is a free standing store and can't really expand any further- it also has a drive through. I visited this Starbucks today because the Starbucks by campus on Central has remodeled and significantly reduced the aviable space. They have added a co-working table there too. At least this one still has more space for people to lounge and be social. Central seems to have forced everything to take place at the co-working table. It is probably a choice from corporate Starbucks to reduce people loitering in their shops (which started before the recent troubles over race and kicking people out up north). Helpful tip- get a Starbucks card or app. It is a pre-paid card and lets you discounts and free drinks. If you are planning to loiter it is a great deal - because it makes the normally $.50 refills on ice coffee or tea free. read more

4 stars for the location, cleanliness, and service- One of my favorite Starbucks for sure. Yeh, not a lot of parking right next to the store but it is a standalone building in a shopping mall parking lot so there is parking available. The store is usually busy especially the drive through but the lines move fairly quickly. I've always had good service at this location and the restrooms are maintained well. Also, a rarity is the cleanliness of the self-service bar. It's not only clean but it's usually orderly as well. That's a difficult accomplishment with how busy this place can be so they obviously pay attention to the details. Typical Starbucks trinkets and sweets for purchase. read more

This review has 4 stars because I like this Starbucks. It's generally very efficient, despite how busy they are, and the baristas are always polite and professional. But this review is about a customer. A customer who made it very clear he would prefer the group of females working this morning to call him "friendly Freddie" going forward. I was there this morning, Monday March 26 around 8 am. There were 4 females working, and the only other customer in line was this Mike Pence looking mofo that I now know is named Freddie. He was standing by the pastry case at first, just standing there eyeing a girl in the drive thru. He gets to the register, where Mia is attempting to take his order, and he's still eyeing the drive thru, and seems to be asking Mia a question about Madelines, but when she tried to answer he said "oh I was asking Shelby, because she always knows." Literally called this girl Shelby over from the drive thru where she was helping another customer, to ask her where regular Madelines were. Guess where? Yeah, right in front of his freakin face at the register. And you bet your britches he asked her to reach over and grab it from the credenza for him. By this point, I could not control the actions of my face and eyes, and I can tell the barista at the bar noticed these looks. After this guy was done paying at the register, he still lingered, of course so he could get a good view of Shelby in the drive thru. So I'm trying to take my order, and this guy is still in front of the register, which is now my personal space since Mia is looking at me directly, asking what I would like, and dude WOULD STILL NOT MOVE. Then he continues on talking about himself and how nice he thinks he is and how everyone working there should refer to him as "Friendly Freddie" going forward. The way he was acting was incredibly demeaning and uncomfortable to everyone around him. And he is clearly a regular. The manager of this store needs to address this and let "Freddie" know that it's never okay to treat females as if they owe him something. It's never okay to talk to someone as if they don't exist, and it's not okay to go to the local Starbucks and sit at the bar so you can stare at someone for hours at a time. read more

Typical Starbucks as far as coffee drinks go. I prefer this location in St. Pete however. The staff here is always friendly. I've yet to get any attitude from anyone. Always very clean when I'm there. I love that they have a bar that you can sit at or tables and chairs. Plenty of places to hook your computer/smart phone up to. Any time I go through the drive through, they seem to move the line along fairly quickly. This location is very close to Tyrone Square Mall and many stores/restaurants. She was so slow and she was making my drinks slow on purpose. another woman came in, in the middle of her making my drinks. the barista completely stopped making my drinks to full fill this other lady order. the manager did not offer to help at all to help this barista who was making one drink per every four that the manager made. I felt racially attacked, this was just awful service, i will never go back -.- I felt extremely neglected and annoyed. This was just downright absurd, after this I will be going to severe emotional therapy sessions. LOVE this Starbucks because there is an outlet wherever you sit. If you sit at the community table or at the bar, the outlets are right under the table/bar, facing down. Outlets are on the wall for the rest of the seats. Of course, it wouldn't be Starbucks if the temperature isn't at freezing, so bring a jacket. There are also lots of seating outside. Food and drinks were great. Today the drive through was long, so we went in. It was very fast, even with a lot of people there. Staff was pleasant and friendly.
