Walking into the store the line for the counter starts on the right, order and pick up your drink or snack at the end of the counter at the center of the store. They have the normal offerings, hot/cold drinks, several baked goods, some bottled drinks and chilled snacks. A handful of seats line the window on the right and some lounge chairs on the left. It wasn't too busy at 2:30pm on a Saturday though several seats in the lounge area were taken. This Starbucks is insane! They're always buzzing with traction since they are located in front of a train station. I'm a timid person, so I'll do a mobile order from time to time here, and the baristas are so lovely! I see all of them working as a team during their busiest hours. The barista that made my drink the other day was sweet enough to remake it since I made a mistake on my order, and she reassured me that it was no problem what so ever. The ambience in the store is very calm when it's not busy, but other than that, it's pretty well managed even when the store IS packed. I truly think these people deserve a raise, they never fail to make my day AND my drink while doing so. read more

I have posted several complaints about the lack of cleanliness of Starbucks at the Scarsdale train station in NY 10583. The company charges customers many dollars for coffees that cost them pennies. The Starbucks in Scarsdale might be of the friendliest in Westchester ! Their staff goes out of their way to be helpful and efficient as they are often incredibly busy waiting on the many customers between folks getting on the train, mobile orders and the constant streaming in and out of customers. A few days ago I ordered a latte on my phone but as I approached Scarsdale Village I realized I didn't have time to park and pick up my coffee. I called the store and told them that I couldn't make it. I wasn't expecting anything in return but felt that they might be worried why I'd never show up! Instead I was told they'd be happy to give me another coffee the next time I was in town. Yesterday I called since I was on a long walk and was greeted so warmly! Of course they'd be happy to make me another latte, no questions about who I had spoken to a week earlier! Anne, assured me when I showed up that they value their customers and only want to keep them happy. Mark, who has worked there for many years will often greet everyone who enters with a huge and friendly" hello"! A good Starbucks branch with friendly staffers, conveniently located at the Scarsdale train stop. There's never a line here, and you can get in and out pretty quickly aside from peak commuter times in the morning and evening. The one downside of this place is that despite having a fair amount of seats both indoors and out, there's never a place to sit as free WiFi hogs come early and stay for hours. People don't seem to understand that this is a coffee shop, and not their home office. Despite this annoyance, it's still a solid place for coffee in Scarsdale. read more

This place is only quick if you want a regular drip coffee. The lines aren't even thattttttt long compared to locations in the city, but the service is slow. Yesterday, i had like 4 people in front of me and they had 2 employees (1 working the register and 1 barista). OMG my dad went down to the train station and bought his monthly train pass and came up before 2 of the customers in front of me finished placing their orders. The line to the register was slow but the service from when i paid to receiving the drinks was pretty quick. I just had the Starbucks experience. I came to downtown Scarsdale at 6 AM to work. Nothing was open, including the building I was going to work in. I do not drink coffee and had never bought anything at a Starbucks in my lifetime. So they suggest a hot chocolate, was upsold to the largest cup, they put a dab of Whip Cream and Chocolate syrup on it. My husband and I are traveling and went to this location based on reviews compared to two others much closer. The drive from Ardsley was really enjoyable and the location of this Starbucks is really pretty. It's in an old train station and the whole center is really pleasant to behold. We used the mobile app to place our order for two lattes which were ready when I went in, sleeves on and spill stick in as well. You can order your drink 15 minutes ahead on the mobile app and end up waiting another 15 minutes. I watched the guy pour my syrup into the cup because they didn't have a pump. Excellent location right above the Scarsdale train station, this place is fairly nice as far as Starbucks go. Every time I've visited, it's always been neat and clean, and the employees are always friendly. The store has a decent selection of mugs and the coffee-related items are attractively displayed, and there is a newspaper kiosk located near the front door, which is always kept well. The place is pretty large, and there is also a small porch offering outdoor seating in nice weather. It looks out over the train platform, so you can see trains departing and arriving while you sip your coffee. The tables there are sometimes cleaner than the ones inside, which is surprising considering that they are out amongst nature. The coffees here are generally good; the baked goods, not so much. But then again, that seems to be true of Starbucks overall. read more

This Starbucks is TRASH and discriminatory. My mom who speaks only a little bit of English ordered a black coffee and asked for a bit of milk on the side so she can control the amount of milk in the coffee. The female employee at the cashier charged my mom an extra 75 cents for the milk. My mom was confused with the extra charge and questioned it. The employee stated that they "sometimes" charge for milk. What is "sometimes"? What kind of Starbucks charges for a bit of regular milk on the side? Not even oat milk or soy milk or any other alternative milks that I understand would be charged extra for. My mom couldn't argue against the employee because of her limited English and was so upset and felt she was taken advantage of because she couldn't stand up for herself against this unfairness. I know Starbucks is not supposed to charge for milk on the side; what difference is it to ask for milk in the coffee vs on the side? They don't charge for milk in the coffee so why would it be charged on the side. It's not the minuscule extra charge that is the issue here; it's the PRINCIPLE. My mom felt unwelcomed and mistreated by the employee because of her lack of English proficiency. CLEARLY something is off. This Starbucks, I have to say, is excellent. The coffee and drinks are delicious. Every time I come here I aim for ordering something new. The tables and "treehouse" are very clean, compared to other Starbucks I've stayed at. Restrooms are surprisingly very clean. However, there is one downside. Probably every time you go here, tables will be filled with people who aren't even ordering or sipping coffee. They just take up the seats, sit down and happily just chill with their phones, (did I mention there's free Wi-Fi?) Or read the newspaper. I've gone to this Starbucks a few times and it's always a bad experience. The cashier/barista/manager, whatever he is has always come off as very rude. Today this morning he just walked off while he was taking my order to help someone else. That's not the first time he's done that as well. A very long overdue post of praise for my favorite Starbucks. I've been coming in here for the last 8 years every morning, and it's hands-down the best Starbucks staff I've encountered. Mark, Karen, and all the great regulars always know my drink order. They're some of the nicest people I've been around in Scarsdale. I'm continually amazed at how fast they can move the line when there are literally people going out the door right before the Metro North train leaves. I'm a "reverse commuter" coming up from the city, and I have no idea how they handle the massive influx of customers that all usually arrive at once. 5-stars! This is a quaint moderate sized Starbucks located next to the Scarsdale train station. Inside it has a bar seating area aside from the regular table & chairs/sofas. Outside, it has a shaded terrace seating area overlooking the train station. As usual, it comes with free high-speed wifi for your laptops and other portable devices. Go in during MetroNorth rush hours and service is slow but staff is nice, coffee is OK but rarely consistent. Biggest gripe...after rush hours the store is very poorly staffed and limited menu available. Even though, they can make you anything on or off the menus at anytime, the staff rather just say they can't because they are a bit lazy. Bottom line: Don't expect much more than basic service. Much like the hundreds of small locations in the metro area. Larger stores are staffed better, have more experienced employees and better service. read more

This outpost of Starbucks may be the worst in the chain. Located in a train station it is manned by an elderly version of Mrs aWhiggins and a Chatty Cathy guy. During rush hour it's an oxymoron. The staff is flitting atoning as if it's midday on Sunday in Portland. Everyone else is trying to get a train. I has stopped going because of this but decided because I had 10 min before my train to try again. When the "Barista" stopped what he was doing -- as my cup came up in the queue -- to empty the safe and chat with a young customer I had to leave with seconds to spare to catch my train.
