Loyal customer since 2021 here. Iced Clyde is a staple for me - my go to! It's not on the menu anymore but I'm grateful they still make it if asked. Paired with their monkey bread = A+. A must coffee stop while in Bronxville

I've had my eye on Booskerdoo for a while. Usually when I'm in Bronxville I hit up neighboring Slave to the Grind, but when I noticed this spot open I made an intention to try them out. I was finally in the area today so I made sure to swing by check out their offerings. Booskerdoo is located in the main commercial hub of Bronxville, right across from the Metro-North. I noticed that there are few other locations in Jersey, but this is the only one in New York. The coffee shop itself is small, and due to the pandemic they are not allowing patrons inside. Instead, they have a small table set up at the door where you place and pick up your order, however you can also order ahead. The menu has a variety of hot and cold beverages, with emphasis on coffee and tea. They also have a solid selection of scones, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods. I was in the mood for iced coffee, so I decided to go with their malted iced coffee with low fat milk. I wanted to try one of their bakes as well, so I chose the cheddar and chive scone. The coffee was good, it had good cold brew flavor and the malt added something special to it. I loved the chive scone, it had the perfect scone consistency - slightly dry, but also soft at the same time. The cheddar and chive were prominent without being too overpowering. The staff was super friendly, they had no problem at all answering my questions and my order was ready in no time. Overall, I had a great experience at Booskerdoo - I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area.

The coffee here is always great quality and their season special menus are always so creative and unique. Right now they have a beet vanilla latte that is really good!

Cute table that they place your items on for social distance

I've been frequenting the Booserdoo location in Ashbury Park for years. So I was super surprised on my weekly weekend quest to support local businesses for my coffee instead of chains to see this name pop up. With high expectations I took the 10 min drive over. There was a very small line in front of people waiting for their coffee. Tons of parking in the area although most spots were filled. I ordered my coffee... the Clyde with oat milk. Score for them for having it as an option. The Clyde was good not fantastic but good. I also ended up ordering a scone for my daughter as recommended by then person who took my order. She said it was good. What I did notice was the two people before me, when their orders were placed on the tray had cute green squares on top (assuming it was a chocolate). Mine had nothing. *sad face* I wonder why???

The small chain has landed in Bronxville. Very good coffee. Too bad it's not the type of sit down and hangout and have your joe place. Probably the high rent in the area. Still a worthy place for coffee that is better than Starbucks imho.

What kind of coffee beans do they roast (considering specialty coffee is written)?

They have have light medium and dark roasts. Don't know what beans. Give them a call I'm sure they'll share.

The shop is small and regularly has a line (which some might tend to get annoyed about but...) -it's because the coffee is THAT good. The cafe has a few tables in the front area, a few more in the back of the shop and some quality bar seating throughout making it a place to chill with friends or do some homework/meetings on your remote days. The quality of the coffee at Slave has never let me down, from buying beans by the pound from an abundant variety to the fresh brews that also have quite an impressive variety each day, the place is tailored to coffee addicts. Similar to the "other" coffee shops, these baristas can make your very specific coffee drink and it will be right on and delicious. They know their coffee at Slave To The Grind. If you get the chance, try some of their incredible pastry selection, especially the scones. You will never leave disappointed after consuming one of those British belly bombs, designed perfectly to be consumed with a hot cup O' Joe, served with a smile. Some folks have rated Slave below 5 stars but, that is likely because they are cranky, wannabe-coffee-aficionados who believe all coffee shops cannot turn over their inventory without having to provide "sell by" dates and paint pretty pictures all over the bean dispensers so they are entertained. They probably judge books by their covers and walk their cats around on leashes too... You be the judge! Try it and you'll see exactly how wrong they are to give Slave To The Grind anything but 5 stars. Delicious coffee, great service, warm atmosphere and solid eats to top it all off. Don't listen to the noise - listen to your own review. You'll love it a latte! I promise.

The staff is welcoming and attentive, the space looks like it is always buzzing, and really gives you the feel of this is THE coffee shop in town. Where it falls short is in the cup. The coffee itself lacked freshness and the walls were lined with coffee beans that looked as if they had been sitting there for years with no clear dates to validate their freshness. There's plenty of choice on paper, but without roast dates or origin details, it's hard to know what you're getting--and the flavor reflects that. The brew came off dull, smoky, and overworked rather than expressive or balanced considering the advertised flavors and the price point. If you're looking for a comfortable place to sit, catch up with a friend, or soak in a classic small-town café vibe, this place delivers. But if great coffee is the goal, I'd head elsewhere. Enjoy the atmosphere--but temper your expectations when it comes to what's in the cup.

Most of their drinks are espresso based and quite good but I wanted a regular coffee. One of the two women working there went out of her way to make a fresh batch of coffee which I really appreciated. The place has a very modern and European decor which I totally liked. The pastries looked fresh and appetizing although I didn't have one. Bronxville is a very tough town for a new business and there are already two established coffee shops there.
