Great coffee shop. Matcha is whisked with a wooden chasen and they use good quality matcha in my opinion. It comes with vanilla syrup but you can get it unsweetened if you prefer. A few GF options for pastries, which is a plus. They have a banana chocolate chip muffin that is really tasty. Small shop but great vibe. I've seen people complain about the owner but I personally haven't had any issues. They also take text ahead orders which helps if you're in a rush. read more

Hidden in the back of the Bronxville community, Ovder definitely sets up any customer well for the day. Let me tell you that this place is a little hidden, but it is great. I saw one of the doors that had a closed sign, but surprisingly, I saw another entrance and got lucky. (Note that there are 2 signs that say Ovder, go to the one on the right so that you can actually access the business. (There's a jeweler in the middle). I ordered a iced caramel latte on a cold rainy day. I was going to ask for an extra shot and shotout to the barista who told me that the large latte packed 6 shots. He was not kidding. It was a great latte but I was WIRED hahaha, which is exactly what I want to be. I definitely felt hooked all day and felt that the latte held me, which I think is a first, since I'll sometimes double up on the coffee consumption on some days. A perfect coffee joint for the bronxville types would like their artisan type hot and cold coffee beverages , fancy named teas and pastries including cheddar scones and monkey bread , etc. I was in the area and waited till the 3 aristocrats were finished ordering as place is small before entering ..Ordered a hot latte , a Nutella croissant and let's see what's up. Ok good hot latte , ok good croissant, ok not too pricey when you factor the area and most important, staff are very nice and friendly with customers , aristocrats or not . Since the Starbucks across the street closed, I went here and ordered a Matcha with four pumps of French vanilla syrup. Did not taste like it was added. I've had my eye on Booskerdoo for a while. Usually when I'm in Bronxville I hit up neighboring Slave to the Grind, but when I noticed this spot open I made an intention to try them out. I was finally in the area today so I made sure to swing by check out their offerings. Booskerdoo is located in the main commercial hub of Bronxville, right across from the Metro-North. I noticed that there are few other locations in Jersey, but this is the only one in New York. The coffee shop itself is small, and due to the pandemic they are not allowing patrons inside. Instead, they have a small table set up at the door where you place and pick up your order, however you can also order ahead. The menu has a variety of hot and cold beverages, with emphasis on coffee and tea. They also have a solid selection of scones, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods. I was in the mood for iced coffee, so I decided to go with their malted iced coffee with low fat milk. I wanted to try one of their bakes as well, so I chose the cheddar and chive scone. The coffee was good, it had good cold brew flavor and the malt added something special to it. I loved the chive scone, it had the perfect scone consistency - slightly dry, but also soft at the same time. The cheddar and chive were prominent without being too overpowering. The staff was super friendly, they had no problem at all answering my questions and my order was ready in no time. Overall, I had a great experience at Booskerdoo - I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area. read more

I've been frequenting the Booserdoo location in Ashbury Park for years. So I was super surprised on my weekly weekend quest to support local businesses for my coffee instead of chains to see this name pop up. With high expectations I took the 10 min drive over. There was a very small line in front of people waiting for their coffee. Tons of parking in the area although most spots were filled. I ordered my coffee... the Clyde with oat milk. Score for them for having it as an option. The Clyde was good not fantastic but good. I also ended up ordering a scone for my daughter as recommended by then person who took my order. She said it was good. What I did notice was the two people before me, when their orders were placed on the tray had cute green squares on top (assuming it was a chocolate). Booskerdoo has the most creative coffee menu I've seen in a long time. It ain't the biggest menu. It's got all the solid classics I look for, plus some appealing innovations. Check 'em out. For example: They get my vote for offering an "unofficial" Festivus Blend around the holidays. Very nice blend of coffee from somewhere in Africa and Central America (My guess is Ethiopia and Guatemala, maybe Honduras). This is a small cafe. Not suited to laptop camping. I've been going to Ovder for a long time now,. They're super friendly, and I really like their coffee. They have packaged gluten free and vegan food options as well as some yummy treats like the monkey bread. I usually order ahead with a text message and use their house account options to pre-pay, which is super convenient. This is the kind of place that makes me want to try something new. Personally, I don't go out for coffee often because I make it at home every morning so when I do, it's a treat. What I like the most about this little spot is that the staff is friendly and of course, their drinks are good. Despite not having a sitting area, there are plenty of nearby benches to go and enjoy your coffee. I've enjoyed everything I've had from here so far. My only suggestions would be to offer medium sized beverages in between the small and large options and plastic straws for the drinks that are already in plastic cups with plastic lids would be better for taking one for the road. read more

Best coffee shop! A personal favorite of mine is an iced Clyde, which is basically an adult chocolate milk! They sell muffins and scones too. I love the banana chocolate chip - which happens to be Vegan if that's your thing. They have the option to text in your order to reduce line build up on the sidewalk/crowd gathering and it's very convenient and follows social distancing guidelines. Best way to truly know quality of coffee is to order regular black with a drop of whatever milk one might like (I always go with non dairy). And I might say... I recently visited the store in Bronxville and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and excellent customer service that I was presented. I love the location. It is just far enough away from the large Starbucks to think it's not there. I think Bronxville has been in great need of a specialty coffee shop for ever. I recently ordered an americano here and I'm pretty sure it was a regular drip coffee. It most certainly didn't taste like a fresh brewed espresso was in there. If you love coffee, you like to see it, hear it and smell it being made in front of you but this business has their customers stand outside at a table to order. When we went inside it is small but cozy enough for you to get a cup of joe. Stopped by when visiting family and was absolutely delighted. I ordered a 2% cappuccino -- the coffee was deeply flavorful, temperature perfect, and despite the 2% milk, the barista successfully made it frothy, rich and foamy -- that's not easy without whole milk!
