I pulled up to the window to let the young lady at the window know I would be running home to get it and I'd be right back.

The vibe is warm and intimate, with soft, low lighting and seating options that work whether you're having a private conversation or gathering with a small group. It's the kind of place where you can settle in and actually stay awhile. Their pastry case always has something tempting, and the breakfast and lunch menu offers plenty of comfort favorites. But let's talk about the famous rollover sandwich -- absolute perfection. Served on an Asiago bagel, it's the best of both worlds: egg salad meets ham sandwich in a combination that just works. Savory, satisfying, and crave-worthy. The specialty drinks rotate with the seasons and holidays, which makes every visit feel a little festive. And don't be surprised if the friendly owner is your barista -- the staff is genuinely welcoming and makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Gallagher's isn't just a coffee stop. It's a place to slow down, connect, and enjoy something thoughtfully made.

The Famous Rollover is a great sandwich with ham, a very tasty egg salad with Colby Jack cheese on a warm Asiago bagel. Hearty and flavorful is the best way to describe it. I have a medium size Breve latte which was very hot with a great espresso flavor. The half & half was a bit milky and not a silky as I prefer but made very well. Maybe an extra shot next time to boost the flavor a bit. Service was fast and friendly! Overall this is a cozy fun place for a date, work or study time, and hanging out with friends. There are also a couple of semi private room available as well. Great location in West Shawnee.

The coffee bar is open separate hours other than just on Sundays, but on Sundays, you could attend a church service and get your coffee. Win/win! I love the space, with its high ceilings, comfortable seating, and robust Wi-Fi, making it a wonderful place to work or just get together. And oh yeah, the coffee. Foundry makes a great regular roast and works hard to make outstanding artisanal coffee drinks. Even a hot cup of cocoa is done just right and pairs spectacularly with many of their pastry offerings. Another perk is Foundry's proximity to the pond and walking paths at Sar-Ko Park. I have been known to get my coffee and then walk across the parking lot to one of the benches in front of the pond, just a serene experience watching the ducks on pleasant mornings. I highly recommend a piece of their cinnamon coffee cake to accompany your coffee. Pro tip: get it warmed up. Prices are standard for similar fare elsewhere but the value is in the friendly service and welcoming space. There is a really solid kids' play area (with an age limit) giving families with littles a great option. Enjoy the park scene or just unwind in their space or on their patio and enjoy Foundry!

But there are a lot of school age kids hanging out playing card games and racing around the parking lot. This would be a good place to grab a drink and walk around the lake or if you had kids to let them socialize with others while you worked. There is a place just off the main shop area for 5 and under kids room as well.

Service is always friendly and they have the drinks out pretty quickly. I've had one coffee beverage that was a fall seasonal and it was really good. They had some really nice sounding drinks but I opted not to drink one due to it being a little late in the day for me. The donuts are alway good. They do have a limited supply so depending on demand, you get what you get. But they always seem to have several options. My favorite has been the Bavarian filled donut but the cranberry mochi seasonal donut was a definite contender. The kiosk is close to the door so it makes it easy if you're just stopping in for a quick snack. But if you want to hang out, there's a ton of seating throughout the building. They even have games that you can play. Definitely stop by! I'm

Reminiscent of Daylight donuts back in the '80s! I am a glazed donut guy, so I don't get too fancy here with the jelly-filled or rice-floured. I also prefer the puffy dough to the cake... so no real judgement on those either. That said, this place can make you feel that small-town feel. What a donut and coffee shop should feel like. It is quaint, and you will see the same cast of characters sitting around the table day after day. Drop in and give this place a try. I am certain that you will like it more than the cookie-cutter corporate coffee store or the on every corner donut shop that makes one type of donut. Also... Donut? Doughnut? Hmmmm?
