While shopping in Solana Beach Towne Centre, we stopped here for a coffee break. There were four of us and two who shall remain nameless were/are very particular about how they prefer their coffee drinks, and I mean particular! The young man taking our orders was so patient, and a smile never left his face. He patiently listened to questions and answered every single one of them with a genuine smile on his face. It got to the point that we started praising him for his wonderful customer service. This is a large Starbucks with plenty of seating , there is a long communal high top bar table as well. I've been coming here quite often and although mornings can be very busy, the staff handles it well. I can't complain, all my orders have been done right and on time. Nice and convenient location, friendly baristas. There is a large patio outside as well, however the furniture is sparse and uncomfortable. I hope they will make this location a bit more cozy and upgrade the furniture. read more

A Starbucks is a Starbucks. Most of them are pretty much the same but I wanted to write a review today because I came in late afternoon. It's 4 o'clock and I was one of four people in line and Sarah was behind the counter. She was handling everything she was making drinks she was getting food. She was ringing up. There was another young man working but he was standing there chatting to the pick up order people And doing nothing well Sarah is working at warp speed, turning out drinks and handling all the people in line. There was also another person working. I think he was a manager. He came out and looked at the line of four people while she's making drinks and decided he wasn't going to help and turned around and went in the back. I just wanted to write the review because not only was Sarah handling everything at warp speed, but she was super nice greeted people by their name thank them from coming and handled the fact that we were all standing there waiting and people were complaining because they could see other people there that weren't working and she handled it with Grace?, and great customer service read more

He knows the way to my heart (or how to get me back in a good mood when I'm mad at him) is a nice cold brew with cold foam and a warmed up chocolate croissant! When we stayed in Solana beach, this location was only a few mins away from us so he made a trip out here every morning to get us some coffee and my favorite treat while I took my early morning meetings for work. Service is pretty swift but there tends to be a longer wait during their busy times. Huge open location ! Same parking lot shared with Sprouts . Ruth , the cashier , was super welcoming and kind . Lots of seating even on a busy Tuesday morning . Ordered venti ice coffee unsweetened. This is a nice and very busy Starbucks. I had a caffee misto while I waited for a local eatery to open. Service at the counter was friendly and relatively speedy putting into account the lines. The misto was good. It was smooth and flavorful. I like that it did not have any bitter after taste. Seating was limited because of the crowds but I found a good comfy seat nevertheless. There are 2 starbucks off this 5 exit, one is convenient when going north and the other is convenient for south. This is the south one, specifically located west of freeway. I like it more than the east side one. Coffee is really good and they have more selections than east side. Also it has a very clean well furnished patio when I have time to stop. While coffee shops in this area are often extremely busy in the morning, this store always delivers quick and accurate purchases. I went in to this Starbucks recently and I was greeted by a gentleman by the name (I think) was jp? He had tons of energy and made me feel really welcome. Working in the service industry you can tell when people are working hard and genuinely like their job. He was one of them... it felt like everyone else there had their head down and just wanted the day to be over, I really feel like he was holding the place together. Considering how weird the world is right now, jp made my experience so much better and brought some light that I feel like we all need! Talk about going downhill quick. The higher ups played politics and fired Suzi. The store is now a shell of its former self. Matt is still there and has always been a bright spot for the store. The nice comfortable chairs are gone and replaced with more tables and chair, making it feel like a very spartan place. The ambiance is gone...you could blame Covid, but it always comes down to the leadership. Good thing I bought my expensive espresso machine so I can just enjoy my flat whites at home now. read more

It's not just that it is one of the larger stores and you can get your coffee very quickly, or that there is plenty of parking - it is the varying seating areas. There is plenty of seating inside, that ranges from tables to comfy chairs, but more interesting is the very large patio outside. Great big store. Nice staff, and you can get your orders fairly fast even when busy. Lots of study or work space with plugs everywhere. Wifi.
