We love this place! Today we have visited a location in Del Mar and we have enjoyed our lattes just chilling outside and sipping our lattes. Coffee is awesome! We have ordered a few different lattes from the menu and we can't choose the favorite one, because they are all delicious. We recommend: Snickerdoodle Latte and Honey Latte- it's a MUST TRY! It's a perfect blend of flavors , not too sweet and not too bitter either. They roast their beans to perfection in a small batches and I think that is a secret recipe to get that perfect coffee! Highly recommend it!!! The shop is not that big inside , but the outside seating area is a very nice and big place to sit and enjoy your latte in a beautiful Del Mar weather. The staff were fantastic and they were quick and efficient. Especially Brook was so nice and helpful and she has made our experience even more enjoyable. Always such a breeze ordering from this location. My drinks/food items taste delicious and are consistent in flavor. Their baristas are super sweet and make you feel welcome in their cafe. Not a lot of seating, but enough for a few small groups. This location is easy to walk to and is nearby lots of fun local shops and plenty of restaurants. Such a unique store too! read more

The worst coffee shop I have ever been to. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars. Was going home and I need some caffeine to keep me up. We had a hard time finding the parking lot so we parked on the streets. The store had one other customer in there but they took over 10 minutes to make our drinks. The service was also bad. I got the hazelnut divinity with oat milk and my friend got a matcha latte. The hazelnut was overly sweet and you couldn't taste the coffee and the matcha did not taste like matcha at all. The matcha tasted like milk and they just added food coloring to make it look g. AVOID this cafe if it's possible, don't waste your money here since it's not worth it almost $8 a drink. read more

Waited 15 minutes for a ciabatta egg and bacon sandwich. The ciabatta was stale , the egg cooked to death and the bacon pretty much nonexistent and it cost 10 bucks . It truly sucked . One of my favorite coffee chains!, never disappoints. Great concept kept throughout their menu, decor, merchandise and honestly best motto: Life's Better Buzzed. Staff at this location is always welcoming and friendly, even during rushes. Plenty of dining space inside and outside. Coffee is strong but not bitter, well balanced. Honey Latte is always made amazing. My daughter enjoyed the Iced Matcha, no grassy flavor. I've tried the Hazelnut Divinity but I do get that half sweet. read more

It seems some of their images and reviews got purged from their Yelp. I've once gave an updated review about a time (July 26th) where I ordered their $7.99, Ham & Cheese Croissant. It contained smoked ham, muenster cheese, on a toasted croissant. It was a tad oily (buttery) and was piping hot! Not bad, but if you think back a couple of years I would totally see this being priced at $4! Another time, actually quite recently-- October 4th, I got myself a Mint Infused Iced Coffee. I've actually ordered this before at their Fashion Valley location and LOVED IT! Although sadly, at this specific location... I did not love it. It had way too much heavy cream. What a bummer to spend my $6.49 on that. This day they were insanely packed, one guy working the bar and another at the register. There were also maybe 1-2 others working but they were behind the door perhaps stocking? I don't know if Better Buzz prioritizes speed over quality. The man was working quite fast and what I thought to be efficiently - that is until I tasted my drink. Maybe in the colder season I'll stop by and the drink will be good? But as of now I've had multiple misses with the flavors of the drinks-- them mainly being very sweet and milky. I do like that this spot does accept cash. In addition, many seats inside are filled with students on laptops. Most of them have finished their drinks and remain seated, leaving no space (inside that is) for new customers to enjoy their drinks. Which is not 100% a huge deal, but maybe over time may be annoying for others. Although, Better Buzz does have multiple tables and seating areas outside of their shop. Also...they are a 3-5 min walk from the beach! Better Buzz Coffee has smoothies, blended iced coffees, cold brews, açaí bowls, teas, lemonade, toasts, sandwiche, & wraps. The menu may slightly be on the pricier side I would say because it's closer to the beach, it has that beach price iykwim. The choice is yours if you want to spend your money here! It is a popular spot with other people, just a miss for me. read more

22 minutes I waited for a latte and that's AFTER it was paid for. After 15 minutes I asked about it and was told there are a couple of drinks ahead of mine. A couple means two, not 20!! The first time I went there I ordered a sandwich and was sick for the rest of the day. That's unusual for me and that's the only food I ate so it was for sure their doing. It seems like Better Buzzes are popping up all over town, which is not a bad thing since they do provide a good product. I picked up something I have never tried at the buzz: the Chile Crunch Breakfast Wrap on a a toasted wheat tortilla stuffed with a chili crisp aioli, hash brown, ham, egg, and muenster cheese. The crunch breakfast wraps was good and tasty, but I wish the hash brown would of been crispy and not mushy as it was. The aioli was flavorful, and the egg, ham, and cheese were very good. They offer little packages of Cholula for their salsa. The service at the counter was very up beat and friendly. They do need to be a little louder when they call out orders when they are ready. Pickup order! I asked for a bag for my to-go and began to bag it myself. The "barista" or whatever said the drinkholder and drinks would not fit in the bag. I said they would, because I had done it previously, and she still argued with me about it and walked off. I put my drinkholder and drinks in the bag, and left. When I called in to talk to a manager about the attitude problems the apparent manager (who did not provide a name at all) started YELLING and SCREAMING at me and said she didn't want me back in the location! I filed with all applicable parties including her higher-ups, and likely there will be further investigation on many fronts.
