I like supporting the little single-server coffee cart and cafe places because they are the little guys, but this felt less welcoming neighborhood coffee spot and more like I was bothering someone by ordering coffee. Located on the 3rd floor of the plaza is this cute little coffee stand. They specialize in matchas and chai but they have a wide range of different drinks. They also had sweet and savory pastries as well. I love its location because of how peaceful it is up there. There is plenty of seating area outdoor. Parking is easy since you can park in their lot. They charge you after an hour I believe. I came here with one other person and we both got their strawberry field matcha. I got mine less sweet with oat milk. The drink originally isn't that sweet to begin with. I found their matcha to be strong but alright. Not the best quality but not bad. The strawberry foam on top was whatever. Adorable coffee shop at the plaza. I really love this Del Mar plaza and Kini Koffee is my favorite place to grab a cappuccino and sit with a friend at one of those comfy sofas enjoying the open air. I visited Kini Koffee for the first time while spending time in Del Mar. Kini Koffee is located on the rooftop of The Plaza. Parking is available on the street or there's a parking structure that you have to pay for. Kini Koffee has a small menu but has all the common coffee drinks and a seasonal menu. I ordered from the seasonal menu and loved my drink. It was a great combination of espresso flavor and peppermint. The other seasonal drinks sounded great. There were a few breakfast items available and a few pastries. We had the chocolate muffin and although it was very good, I don't think I would pay $7.70 for it again. The employee was very friendly. Stopped by for some coffee in the afternoon a few months ago and was kind of disappointed. This is a cute little coffee stand located in a fancy plaza by the beach. The vibes are nice and so are the workers. Super cute and delicious sounding lattes. Prices are comparable to small coffee shops. I ordered the Sweet Dreams and it was basically just a watered down cold brew. The chocolate cold foam was flavorless and didn't add anything to the drink. Also I couldn't really taste any notes of toffee in the cold brew. The barista said that this was her favorite drink from here so I was surprised that I really didn't like it. 2/5 Overall, the vibes and workers here are nice but the coffee was a miss for me. If you want the view you can park and bring your own coffee as many locals seemed to do. Lastly the workers were a bit rude when asked for napkins/rags to clean a spill. Rooftop coffee and tea with ocean views! As if that wasn't great enough this is an all female-run coffee shop! Shoutout to all the badass women out there running their own businesses. My holiday inspired iced matcha drink was delectable. Vanilla added for some sweetness, the cranberry cold foam offered a little tartness, and fun red sprinkles just because. Festive, pretty, and delicious. The barista was a sweetheart and the best part is you get to enjoy it while staring out at the ocean. The menu offers a lot of delicious coffee and tea creations and they always have seasonal options as well. Located on the top level of the Del Mar Plaza. Parking is free for I believe the first hour or two if you park in their garage. Check your ticket as I can't remember exactly. If you need more time here there's free parking behind the plaza in a residential area but you'll need to walk up and down a steep hillside. read more

This cute coffee shop is at the top floor! Came here to hangout outside with a beautiful view of the ocean. There's lots of tables available to sit at and in a beautiful day, it's perfect! The server was kind & attentive making our drinks in a timely fashion. There was not much food options, but did see mini bags of chips! Now for the drink: Chai strawberry short cake 6.5/10: the strawberry Portion was okay, i wish there was more strawberry in the chia. There were breadcrumbs that personally I was not a huge fan of & make it hard to drink. I did enjoy the flavor of the chai! I've been going to Kini for years now and I just want to say how absolutely amazing I think the staff is. Milan, Brooke and Halle are just some of the most amazing and real humans I've ever met. They take pride in making their drinks and are open to trying new stuff for you and have really helped that little spot up top of the Del Mar Plaza flourish. Good news! Kini Koffee opens at 9am! I came around 11:45am and misheard the lady and thought I came before opening time. I felt so bad! The prices for espresso based drinks and cold brews are between $7-8. She mentioned that cash is accepted as long as it's under a $20 bill / you have exact change. Hearing exact change got me a bit nervous because I left my coin pouch at home today! My small iced honey bun latte came out to be $7. That's about the same price that I would pay at BRCR for an iced honey b. The iced honey bun consists of a vanilla honey latte with a dash of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. I like that they use crush ice in their drinks because it makes it more refreshing when you get little pieces of ice up your straw. The best way to describe this drink is: you're eating a churro and drinking espresso at the exact same time. It can get sweet when you're half way done with the drink, maybe grab a pastry somewhere to balance it. The woman working is really nice and service was fast. There's plenty of seating available and it's really nice because you get that beautiful ocean view. It's so serene. You can even walk down to Seagrove Park to enjoy your coffee. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by for some coffee, cold brew, açaí bowl, etc. read more

Super cute coffee shop with the super perfect location. I actually had no plans to visit any coffee shop the day I visited as I only planned to go to the bakery in the plaza. However, I saw this place and saw the photos and decided I had to try it! It's located in the plaza which has garage parking. It's free the first 30 min and then $5 every extra 30 min or portion of it! We ordered the strawberry fields and the zebra! Both were super good. They're really creative drinks that match the flavors appropriately! The presentation is also beautiful!
